Chapter 693: Let’s Find An Empire
The portal shimmered behind them as Chiron stepped into the outside world, the fresh breeze ruffling his jet-black hair. It did not reach his shoulders, but it framed his face perfectly, accentuating his calm, controlled features.
At first glance, he appeared to be no more than eighteen years of age, but his deep, piercing eyes told a different story—eyes that carried the weight of centuries, as if he had lived through countless histories and wars.
He took a slow, measured breath in, a small smile forming on his lips as he inhaled the air of this land.
Behind him, Emma followed through the portal. But unlike him, she did not stop to appreciate the scenery. Even beneath the veil that covered most of her face, her brows furrowed in thought.
She was still pondering his words.
Earlier, Chiron had asked her, “What do you know about the ancient Elven Kingdom?”
And so, she had answered, repeating the general knowledge taught to all.
Over a thousand years ago, the Elven King had declared war on the entire world, driven by his fanatic belief in Elven Supremacy.
He wanted all races, tribes, and bloodlines to kneel before the elves, worshipping them as the pinnacle of creation.
He was a genius, advancing Elven magic and technology far beyond its time, but his ambition had drawn the wrath of the world.
For the first time in history, every race and faction—humans, core beasts, dragons, beastkin, dwarves, and even the hated demons—set aside their grudges and united against the elves.
The war was brutal, but in the end, the elves were defeated and eradicated from existence.
At least, that was what the world believed.
But Chiron had smiled at her answer.
“They were not eradicated,” he had said. “They merely went into hiding. They still exist.”
His words had shaken her. But what shocked her more was his next statement.
“And I will make what remains of their empire… mine.”
She had stared at him, unable to find the words to respond.
Their conversation continued as they walked by the water’s edge, the land around them still scarred from the previous battle of demi-gods. The soil was shattered, and deep cracks marred the once-proud cliffs.
It was a land that had suffered greatly.
Then, in the distance, a ship appeared.
Chiron’s gaze landed on it. A knowing glint flickered in his eyes.
“It seems our ride has arrived,” he said, his voice light, as if he had expected this all along.
He rose into the air, and Emma followed, their figures moving gracefully as they landed in the center of the ship, the waters rolling beneath them.
For cultivators of their strength, this was nothing more than a simple step.
As Chiron and Emma landed gracefully on the deck of the ship, the reaction was immediate.
The captain, a tall beastman with gray fur and feline features, rushed forward, followed closely by most of the crew.
Their movements were hurried yet disciplined, their faces filled with respect and awe.
Then, the captain bent low into a deep bow before Emma.
“Goddess Emma, your return blesses us beyond words,” he said, his voice filled with reverence. “The winds and waves have carried us well in your absence, and we have upheld your decree with unwavering faith.”

The crew behind him nodded, their eyes shining with devotion.
These were beastfolk, each one bearing distinct animalistic traits—some had wolfish ears, others serpentine scales, and a few even had feline whiskers twitching in the sea breeze.
Emma, unaffected by the flattery, nodded once and spoke, her voice calm but firm.
“Report. What is the status of the fleet?”
The captain straightened and immediately launched into his report.
“As you commanded, the Admiral led the entire Beast Kingdom’s naval armada into the open seas, severing all ties to the homeland. We now sail as a sovereign force, ruling over a network of connected islands scattered across these dangerous waters, teeming with sea beasts. The navy has not faltered in its mission and has awaited your return, not daring to defy your orders.”
Emma’s golden eyes gleamed with satisfaction as she gave him a small nod.
Then, she turned to Chiron and, without hesitation, bowed deeply.
“Master, I have done just as you commanded.”
A ripple of shock passed through the crew.
The captain’s tail stiffened, and murmurs spread among the beastfolk on board.
To them, Emma was a goddess.
A being of unmatched power who had conquered their former kingdom and led them to greatness.
Her word was law, her will absolute.
And yet, she bowed before this man?
The very idea shook them to their core.
For the first time, they realized that the mysterious young man who had arrived with their goddess was not just some ordinary companion.
He was someone she followed.
And that meant…
He was a being above even their goddess.
Chiron, unaffected by their reactions, simply nodded.
“Good,” he said, his voice smooth and controlled.
What Emma had done was perfect.
Although the faith of these beastfolk was centered on her, it was a small matter to redirect it toward himself.
He lifted his hand slightly, and a faint glow surrounded his fingertips as he sent coordinates directly into Emma’s mind.
“Have them take us here. I want discretion. The Admiral and the rest of the armada should remain where they are.”
Emma’s eyes flashed as she received the information and turned to the captain.
Without hesitation, she relayed the orders.
The captain’s ears twitched as he processed the command. Then, with no delay, he nodded sharply and turned to his crew.
“Set course immediately! Do not attract unwanted attention!”
The beastfolk moved swiftly, their bodies bursting into coordinated motion as they adjusted the ship’s sails and shifted its course.
Meanwhile, the captain signaled to two of his subordinates, who stepped forward and bowed.
“Cabins have been prepared for you in advance,” he said. “Allow us to escort you.”
With that, Emma and Chiron were led below deck, disappearing into the heart of the ship as the vessel cut through the waves, carrying them toward their next destination.
For three days, Chiron remained in deep meditation within the ship’s cabin, unmoving like a statue. His breathing was slow and controlled, his spiritual and aura energies, circulating seamlessly through his body.
Had he still possessed his dragon, this journey would have taken mere hours instead of days—but he did not.
A small thought crossed his mind.
Perhaps he needed a servant attuned to water.
A creature that could traverse the seas with ease would certainly make travel much faster and more efficient.
Still, the journey itself had been… odd.
These waters were known to be deadly.
Sea beasts of all ranks and sizes roamed these territories, and even the experienced beastfolk who sailed these seas had long accepted the inevitability of attacks.
But this time?
Not a single beast had so much as dared to approach.
It was as if the ocean itself feared the presence of their ship.
Even the schools of fish, which normally followed the currents, had swerved away, fleeing as if a great predator had entered their domain.
Of course, Chiron knew why.
His aura, even when restrained, was saturating the air.
It was subtle—but to the creatures of the deep, it was like the presence of a titan lurking in the abyss.
Nothing dared to challenge that power.

Finally, on the third day, land appeared on the horizon.
Chiron stepped onto the deck just as the ship docked, his jet-black hair swaying slightly in the warm sea breeze.
Before him lay a vibrant island, unlike any he had seen before.
It was bustling with life, yet carried a certain serenity that felt both welcoming and mysterious.
The architecture was a unique blend of various cultures, reflecting the diverse races that called this place home.
Wooden houses with intricately carved sea symbols lined the docks, their rooftops adorned with hanging shells that jingled softly in the wind.
The streets were made of smooth stone, worn down by the many feet that had walked upon them.
Colorful tapestries hung between buildings, embroidered with depictions of a great bearded figure rising from the sea—an image of their God, Mustang.
The people here were a mixture of all races—humans, beastfolk, merfolk, even a few dwarves and elves—all going about their lives in a seamless harmony rarely seen elsewhere.
Despite their differences, they all shared one thing in common—a deep reverence for Mustang, the Beard of the Ocean.
Chiron’s eyes calmly scanned the island, taking in its beauty and uniqueness.
Then, with a small smirk, he muttered under his breath:
“A perfect place to hide, isn’t it?”
Emma did understand what he meant. In the last few days, Chiron had informed her certain details to take note of.
Firstly, the elves were still alive but in hiding.
Secondly, they was a way to reach that place, but unfortunately, only elves could enter or even see it.
It was protected by three Guarduan totems…
