Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel - Chapter 714
Chapter 714: The Hidden Elf
Chiron licked the blood from his thumb, a single, casual motion that carried the weight of his blood curse.
Then, with a careless wave of his hand to the side, the blood on the ground trembled—rippled—then surged upward like it was being pulled by invisible threads.
Before their very eyes, it reshaped… bones, flesh, skin… until standing before them was a second Cassian.
Identical.
Same frightened eyes. Same trembling lips. Same hair, face, bloodied royal robes and shoes.
The original Cassian stared at the clone in open-mouthed horror. But before he could scream—
Snap.
Chiron twisted his neck with a vicious jerk. The boy crumpled like a rag doll, lifeless in the dirt.
The clone didn’t even flinch. He looked to Chiron, and Chiron gave him a single nod.
The clone nodded back.
Then, as if nothing had happened, the second Cassian broke into a frantic run—toward the hidden cove where a small boat awaited. He would return to his mother, far off at sea, screaming for survival and trauma and to deliver a warning: do not return.
Of course, He carried the same treasures. Wore the same garments. Spoke with the same voice. A perfect replica.
This was Chiron’s ability—Blood Shadow. A curse and gift born of the curse blood book, granting him the power to create puppets from the blood of those that he consumed their blood.
And to make one from a noble of Selene’s bloodline? A delicious privilege.
Chiron knew Lady Selene’s pride well enough. She would never request reinforcements from the Holy Church—not after being manipulated, not after failing. She’d want to handle it herself. To correct her mistake. Alone.
She wound definitely plan an attack herself.
A mistake she would live to regret.
Chiron turned and began walking back into the ruined village, his cloak fluttering in the breeze that still carried the stench of death.
Fires crackled on half-burnt homes. Corpses lay across the cobbled roads. Survivors screamed, some clawing at rubble to find loved ones, others sobbing in the dirt, staring at missing limbs or lost dreams.
The village had been totally destroyed.
None of it moved him.
He stopped in front of a building—one that had been left miraculously untouched. It stood, calm and untouched, as though wrapped in divine protection.
The old bar.
He pushed open the wooden door. The bell above rang faintly.
Inside, it was silent.
Dust floated in golden beams of light by the Elemetal lamps. Tables were overturned, chairs abandoned mid-conversation from days prior. But not a single scratch marked the walls. The air inside was too clean, too still.
Behind the counter stood the bartender, wiping a glass with slow, practiced motions. He looked… human. Ordinary, even. Brown hair. Thick mustache. Apron tied snug around his middle.
But the moment he looked up and saw Chiron, he paused.
“How did you know?” he asked simply.
Chiron smiled, casual as a traveling merchant.

He approached the counter and sat down on the same stool he had used days ago. The bartender poured him a drink without needing to be asked.
Chiron raised the glass to his lips, but didn’t drink. “I wasn’t sure at first,” he said. “But I left ears around. Rumors reached me about the Holy Church’s arrival—an arrival I knew you orchestrated. Through the seaman my female servant tried to teach a lesson.”
He swirled the drink. “And then came the pirates of the Zodiac Family. You called them too. Trying to even the odds.”
The bartender said nothing.
“But you see,” Chiron continued, “there’s an old saying—hide gold in a thief’s pocket if you want to keep it safe. And the best place to hide… is right in plain sight.”
His smile turned sharper. “This bar. Always here. Every generation. Untouched. Passed down like a relic. Always open. Always watching.”
He leaned forward now, lowering his voice.
“And elves… have long lives. There was also the fact that the so called chief priest, used an Elven movement technique. And lastly, no one has ever seen the mayor. Well, maybe that’s cause he is always before their eyes. ”
The bartender’s eye twitched.
“So yes,” Chiron said, lifting his glass now, “I figured you were the one I was looking for. Especially when I sensed the faint trace of a treasure that hides faces.”
Of course, none of the others could tell.
But he could—thanks to the Change Fate System.
Chiron took a sip, then added with a grin, “Also… you’re hiding your elf ears.”
The bartender finally let out a low chuckle.
“No wonder the Holy Church and the Zodiac Families are hunting you,” he said. “You’re terrifying. To think you will even see past elven made treasures. Even the holy church would have difficulty. Aftrr all, how we write our runes .”
And then he moved.
Boom
A thunderous explosion burst from behind the counter, shattering the floor. Dust and smoke erupted through the bar, shaking the very foundation.
When the air cleared, the man still stood tall—unmoving.
He raised his hand and removed the face-concealing treasure in a single motion.
And beneath it—was not the face of a human.
Long, smooth features. High cheekbones. Pale skin that shimmered faintly with ageless energy. His pointed ears extended outward, golden rings hanging from their tips. And yet, he still had the thick, dark moustache, styled proudly like a nobleman of the old kingdoms.
His eyes glowed faintly blue.
The Elf of the old world had revealed himself.
Chiron stood on the opposite side. He coukd not help but smile.
After all, the Elf man before him was bursting with so much power, it was nearly abnormal for his power rank.
He was absolutely nothing like those cheap gold rankers he had fought that did not acquire their power by themselves.
Chiron could not help but smile as he took a fighting stance, his magic energy flaring about him like snakes.
Even though he was only using magic ghis time around,
No doubt, Chiron was planning to go all out.
