Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 105
Chapter 105: In love with Lucius Chapter 105: In love with Lucius Layla was surprised to find out that Lucius knew his mother’s thoughts so deeply.
But how?
They didn’t even live together.
“Why have you turned silent?” He tilted his head to look at her.
“You don’t need to lie to me just to keep my heart.
I told you I don’t have any hard feelings toward my mother.
Her presence or absence doesn’t bother me.
Neither her words affect me,” he stated.
The two of them found a seating bench on their way to the top of the hill, where Lucius decided to sit with her for some time.
“Lucius, I am sorry.
I didn’t wish to lie to you.
I just felt I should not let you get sad,” Layla said, looking at him.
“Come on, Layla.
You don’t need to apologise for such a small thing,” Lucius asserted.
“Don’t you feel upset?” she asked.
“She doesn’t own my life.
The day she abandoned me, I abandoned her too,” he said.
“She never liked my friendship with Matteo.
I don’t justify my actions, but I love what I do.
Just don’t hate me.” “I told your mother you were never on a wrong path.
I won’t intervene in your work.
Also, I like the way you work.
You know what I told Roderick today?” A flicker of accomplishment danced in her eyes.
“What?” Lucius was curious to know.
“I said I would take your gun and shoot him myself,” Layla asserted while smiling.
“Really?” He was quite stunned to learn that.
“Yes.
My blood boils seeing him, Orabela and my mom.
You see, I have never observed love from my family.
So, when Roderick gave me his attention, I felt I was special for someone.

It shattered my heart that he did that with Orabela.
I wanted to kill him.
That thought came in my head many times,” Layla stated, tears began to form in her eyes.
Before Lucius could speak, Layla said, “But I have you now.
I don’t feel anything for Roderick anymore except for hatred.” She couldn’t gather the strength to say ‘I love you’ to him since she was scared to say those words.
Lucius leaned in and hugged her by wrapping his arm around her neck.
“Do you not want to see your mother today?
I thought we would be going there,” he suddenly reminded her after pulling away.
“Oh!
I decided against it.
I don’t want to hear her lies anymore, nor do I want to see her,” Layla said as she stood up.
She stretched out her arms and twirled slowly, her gaze lifted to the sky.
“Doesn’t it feel wonderful here?” she murmured, her hair swaying with the cool breeze that swept through at that moment.
Lucius’s heart skipped a beat at the sight, unable to resist the sudden urge that washed over him.
Before he could think twice, he reached out and lifted her effortlessly, his hands holding her firmly around her waist and hips.
Layla’s eyes widened as she looked down at him, her hair cascading forward, some of it brushing against his face.
A soft blush spread across her cheeks, surprise mingling with a smile that tugged at her lips.
“You didn’t need to lift me up,” she whispered, a hint of bashfulness in her voice.
“Why?
Do you hate it?” Lucius asked, a playful smile curving his lips.
“No,” she replied, her voice barely above a breath.
“Then enjoy it,” he said, his eyes softening as he took in every detail of her face.
“You look beautiful from this angle.
Your slightly flushed cheeks, those rosy lips, your dark brown eyes and long eyelashes… they’re all so striking.
How could God make someone so perfect?” His gaze was filled with affection and admiration with a small smile playing on his lips.
Layla’s heart raced at his words, the sincerity in his voice making every nerve flutter.
Without thinking, her fingers interlocked behind his neck, and she leaned in, closing the space between them.
Their lips met in a soft, lingering kiss that spoke of all the feelings they had left unsaid.
As she pulled back, her eyes met his.
He put her down carefully but did not let her go.
“Do you have to say something more?” Lucius asked, his voice low and deep.
“May be you want to say those three words.” His nose touched the tip of hers, his lips just hovering above her lips.
Layla swallowed the lump formed in her throat.
‘Yes, I want to say a lot more.
I want to confess my feelings for you but I’m too scared.
I don’t want to lose you.
Maybe that’s why,’ she thought.
“It’s going to be evening soon.
We should hurry to go up,” Layla said, her hands remained steadfast on his arms.
‘I wonder what’s stopping you from saying those words.
Your eyes say you love me, too deeply,’ he thought before letting go of her waist.
He held her hand, firmly but gently before began walking with her.
“I have a question, Lucius,” Layla said.
“Hmm?” “How will you find Matteo’s murderer?
Can I help you with that?
I know you’ve your hired men to do that work, but I just thought if I could be of any help,” Layla stated.
“I won’t allow you to jump into something risky.
We have been searching for the person who did that,” Lucius asserted, “soon we will find him.
But you don’t need to worry about all that.” “Just be careful,” Layla said.
“Oh, I will,” Lucius assured her.
Finally, they were at the top of the hill from where the entire cityscape could be viewed.
The sun was near the horizon, casting a subtle glow over the tall buildings of the city.
“Wow!
It is beautiful and more serene that I’ve actually thought,” Layla said.
Lucius, however, had his gaze affixed on her.
There was a glow and spark in her eyes, which used to be absent when she was alone, fighting with her enemies every single day.
“I am in love with Lucius.
I love him!” Layla finally pronounced in a loud voice, causing Lucius’s eyes to grow big.
