Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 108
Chapter 108: Call an ambulance Chapter 108: Call an ambulance The next morning, Layla’s heavy eyelids fluttered open, the soft light of dawn bathing the room in a warm glow.
The first thing her eyes focused on was Lucius’s face, serene in the depths of sleep.
They lay tangled together beneath the sheets, legs intertwined in a gentle embrace.
A smile tugged at her lips as the memories of the night before rushed back to her-intense and electrifying.
She had lost count of how many times she had climaxed because of the intense pleasure, and the mere thought sent a ripple of shivers down her spine.
Careful not to wake him, Layla slid out of the bed and reached for a thin robe, draping it over her shoulders before padding to the washroom.
The cool tiles met her bare feet as she stood before the mirror, her reflection revealing a flushed face framed by tousled hair.
Her eyes widened as they trailed down her body, taking in the red marks scattered across her skin like wildflowers in bloom.
“What’s this?” she murmured, a mix of surprise and wonder in her voice as she twisted to inspect her back.
The marks were a testament to the night they’d shared and their evidence had now imprinted on her skin.
Hickeys dotted her neck, shoulders, and the curve of her waist- making a map of his unrestrained passion.
Layla’s heart raced at the realization, warmth pooling in her cheeks.
Lucius hadn’t left a single part of her untouched.
She brushed her teeth till the time bathtub filled up.
Washing herself well, she finally came to the bedroom wearing a bathrobe.
Layla’s gaze fell upon Lucius, lying face down on the bed, his back adorned with red scratch marks.
She inhaled sharply, glancing down at her own nails, evidence of the intensity of their night together.
Stepping closer, she sat beside him, her fingers trailing softly along his back in an almost apologetic caress.
Lucius stirred, his eyes fluttering open as the morning sun bathed her face, casting a soft, warm glow that took his breath away.
In one swift move, he caught her wrist, pulling her down against his chest as he rolled onto his back.
“I wanted to wake up with you still here in bed,” he murmured, his voice thick with drowsy affection.
“But here you are-already bathed and ready to leave for work.” His fingers skimmed her thigh, drawing her even closer before he flipped her gently onto the mattress.
Her heart raced as his lips found her throat, igniting the embers of last night’s passion.
Her bathrobe slipped from her shoulder, revealing faint red marks on her skin.
Lucius’s gaze softened, realization dawning on him.
“Did I hurt you last night?” he asked, searching her eyes with quiet concern.
Layla shook her head, meeting his gaze with a soft smile.
“No.
I was a bit sore this morning, but I’m fine now.” Her hand drifted to his cheek, stroking it tenderly.
“You should freshen up.

Then, we will have breakfast together,” she opined.
“Hmm.
I love you, Layla.” She smiled and replied back, “I love you too, Lucius.” ~~~~~ “Bella hasn’t touched food since yesterday.
She’s not coming out of her room, either,” Miriam confided in her husband, worry etched deep into her face.
“I spoke with Roderick this morning, and… he said he wouldn’t consider marrying our daughter.” Her voice quivered as tears welled up in her eyes, and she slumped into the chair across from him.
“So, Rick broke things off again.” Darius’s jaw tightened.
“That man wasn’t right for Bella, anyway.
It’s a relief the engagement is over.
But what Orabela did… that’s beyond forgiveness, Miriam.” His eyes flashed with anger as he ran a hand through his hair.
“I had to miss work today to deal with the mess she created.
Let her stay in that room until she’s ready to take responsibility for her actions.” Miriam looked down, dabbing at her eyes.
She understood his frustration, but the mother in her ached to see her daughter in such a state.
“Darius, don’t you think you are the one responsible for all this mess?” She angrily questioned him.
“Bella got this jealousy because Layla is your illegitimate daughter.
If only you had thrown away that girl when she was born, we would not be suffering like this!” “Miriam, what happened in the past can’t be changed.
We need to focus on the present,” Darius said firmly, his gaze hardening.
“Layla isn’t here anymore, so why should this jealousy continue?
Bella needs to be ready to apologize properly to Layla.
Yesterday, an old investor reached out.
He’s reconsidering our partnership, but he made it clear how much damage Orabela’s actions have caused this time.” His frown deepened, silently warning Miriam not to shield their daughter anymore.
Miriam’s face twisted with frustration and pain.
“Bella is your daughter, too.
You were the one who made the first mistake, so you should be the one to fix it.
Talk to her, bring her down, and make her eat.
If anything happens to her, I swear, Darius, I’ll leave.
I won’t keep pretending to be the supportive wife.” With those words, she turned away, fists clenched, leaving him alone with his mounting frustration.
Darius sighed, pressing his fingers against his brow to relieve the tension.
He had never felt so stressed.
Resolving to end this turmoil, he left the chair and made his way upstairs to Bella’s room.
“Open the door, Bella,” he called, knocking firmly.
Silence.
With his patience wearing thin, he summoned a few servants and instructed them to break down the door.
He was done with this endless cycle of drama.
The door finally gave way, but what he found inside stopped him cold.
Bella lay sprawled on the floor, her face pale, with scattered pills close to her.
“Bella!” Darius cried, rushing to her side as shock and fear gripped him.
He gently lifted her limp form, settling her on the bed, as a servant dashed downstairs to alert Miriam and Lady Agatha.
“Call an ambulance, now!” he ordered, desperation lacing his voice.
His hands trembled as he checked her pulse, guilt and regret flooding him as he realized the depth of his daughter’s pain.
