Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 111
Chapter 111: Layla is my daughter Chapter 111: Layla is my daughter “What?
This has to be some kind of joke!” Layla’s voice shook with disbelief as she snatched the report from Lucius’s trembling hand.
For so many years, she had lived under a false identity, never once suspecting the truth.
Her eyes welled up with tears, her breathing quickening as she scanned the report, each word sending a wave of shock through her.
She raised a hand to her mouth, the tears slipping down her cheeks unchecked.
Overwhelmed, she opened the car door and stepped out, needing the open air to steady herself.
Lucius quickly followed, stepping around to face her.
“Is this true?” she asked, her voice a whisper as she met his gaze, her eyes filled with betrayal and heartbreak.
All the memories of her life, every unfair treatment, every instance she’d been overlooked-each painful moment replayed in her mind, now reframed in a shocking new light.
“It is, Layla,” Lucius confirmed gently, resting a hand on her shoulder.
“The report is real.” His thumb brushed a tear from her cheek, his touch as steady as he could manage.
Layla swallowed hard, her voice breaking.
“H-how did you find this out?” Lucius held her gaze, his tone steady.
“It wasn’t difficult to suspect.
Seraphina’s behavior toward you was never that of a real mother.
The way she always favored Orabela, even when she was in the wrong…
it all pointed to something deeper.
When you shared that, it confirmed my doubts.” He took a breath.
“Seraphina isn’t your biological mother.” The revelation hit Layla like a punch to the gut, and she shook her head, fighting back a new wave of tears.
“There’s no need for the press conference.
Cancel it,” she said firmly, her voice laced with pain and determination.
Without a second’s hesitation, she turned on her heel and walked briskly toward the hospital entrance, with Lucius close behind, his face clouded with worry.
He began to wonder if he’d acted too quickly in revealing the truth.
But Layla had a right to know her real parentage, and he knew it had been necessary.
They reached the lobby, only to find the elevator full.
Layla, too impatient to wait, spotted the other elevator, but it was still on the fifteenth floor.
Deciding not to waste time, she moved toward the stairs, her steps quick and resolute.
Lucius hurried after her, matching her pace as they climbed to the fifth floor.
By the time they reached it, they were both breathless but they didn’t stop until reached the wardroom, where Orabela was admitted.
As the door swung open with a bang, Lady Agatha glared at Layla, her voice cold and biting.

“Because of you, Orabela’s blood pressure dropped.
Get out of our sight-now!” she spat, but Layla barely acknowledged her, brushing past and striding directly toward Miriam.
Ignoring the stunned expressions around her, Layla thrust a report into Miriam’s hands.
“Read it yourself,” she demanded, her voice cracking as she wiped the tears streaking down her face.
“How could you all play with my life like this?
How could you never realize I’m your real daughter?” Her voice, raw with betrayal, rang through the room, freezing everyone in place.
“What nonsense is she babbling now?” Lady Agatha muttered, stepping forward to snatch the report.
She was ready to tear it up without even glancing at it, but Miriam held it tightly, refusing to let go.
Darius, unable to contain his curiosity, moved closer to get a look himself.
As he read the words at the bottom, his eyes widened with shock.
“This… how can this be?” Miriam’s voice trembled, and she looked up at Layla, her expression crumbling.
“Layla, why are you doing this?” Orabela interrupted, her tone defensive, as if trying to protect herself from a reality she refused to accept.
“You can’t be Mom’s daughter!
This is just another one of your schemes, isn’t it?” Miriam’s eyes filled with tears as she spoke, her voice breaking.
“The report says… Layla is my daughter, not Seraphina’s.” Her confession left the room silent, each word weighing heavily in the charged atmosphere.
Lady Agatha’s face blanched.
“What did you say?” she asked, her tone laced with disbelief.
Orabela scrambled out of bed, pleading with them not to trust Layla.
“She’s lying-she’s trying to manipulate you all!” Layla’s patience snapped.
“Will you just stay quiet for once?” she shot back, her voice full of anger and hurt.
She turned back to Miriam, her expression fierce.
“Tell me, how did this happen?
How did I end up as Seraphina’s daughter instead of yours?
What did you all do to me?” Her voice cracked, each question spilling out like a wound reopening.
“Did you hate me that much?
Why didn’t you just leave me in an orphanage instead of putting me through years of humiliation and trauma?” Her legs wobbled, nearly giving way beneath her.
Lucius, who had been watching silently, stepped forward, steadying her with a firm hand on her arm.
He held her supportively, saying nothing, his presence reassuring but solemn-he knew this was Layla’s moment to confront her family.
“Layla… we didn’t know…” Miriam’s voice faltered as she reached for her daughter’s hand, but Layla pulled away sharply, her pain etched into every line of her face.
“Just admit it,” Layla choked, her voice thick with tears.
“You hated me from the moment I was born.” Without waiting for a response, she turned and ran from the room, the sound of her sobs echoing through the corridor as she fled, leaving her shattered family in stunned silence.
“Layla!” Lucius ran after her, trying to step her.
Layla tripped on the floor and her cries intensified.
The patients nearby watched her, but she was unable to contain the pain inside her.
Some looked at her with pity while others thought she had lost someone.
Lucius was quick to remove his blazer and wrap it around her.
“Layla, please be strong.” She looked at him with a broken heart.
“My own mother told me I shouldn’t have survived the day I was born,” she whispered before fainting, her head resting on his chest.
