Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 141
Chapter 141: Holding back tears Chapter 141: Holding back tears “Why did you postpone the reunion?
You were the most excited about it,” Orabela asked, her fingers idly tracing the rim of her coffee mug.
“It wouldn’t have been the same without you, Bella,” Kylie replied, her gaze shifting to Orabela’s hand.
“Speaking of which, where’s your ring?
Did you forget to wear it?” “We broke up,” Orabela said flatly, lifting the mug to her lips.
“What?” Kylie feigned shock, though a smirk played on her lips.
“You stole Roderick from Layla, and now he’s left you like this?
How ironic,” she taunted.
“What are you trying to say?” Orabela frowned, lowering her mug.
“It was Roderick who kissed me at that party.
He told me Layla would never find out and that he didn’t care about her.
That jerk never even admitted he was in the wrong,” she defended, her eyes turning warm because of tears.
“Even so, Bella, you shouldn’t have gotten involved with your sister’s boyfriend,” Kylie said, her tone turning sharper now.
“Look where it’s left you.
You’ve lost everything-the Rosenzweig Family disowned you, your real identity is out in the open, and your beauty brand, the one you’ve been building since college, has been taken from you.
You’re completely ruined,” she finished, watching Orabela’s expression carefully.
“My mother is the real culprit,” Orabela said, her voice trembling with suppressed anger as her grip on the mug tightened.
“I hate her.
And Roderick…
he’s an absolute jerk.
He toyed with my feelings and made me look like the villain in everyone’s eyes.” Her gaze darkened as she added, “But I’m not innocent either.
I made terrible choices, even turning against Lucius.
If he hadn’t been with Layla, none of this would’ve happened.” “And now?” Kylie asked, tilting her head.
“What are you going to do, Bella?
Maybe you should beg Layla for forgiveness.
Who knows, it might help you get everything back.” “I won’t do that,” Orabela snapped, her tone firm with defiance.
“Why should she have someone like Lucius-someone who defends her no matter what?
It’s my family’s fault they poisoned me against her from the start.
They filled my head with hatred, taught me to mimic their actions, their words…
everything they did to Layla.

How is it my fault that I ended up hating her?” Her voice cracked as she let out the frustration that had been building for a while.
Kylie remained silent for a moment before advising, “Orabela, you need to step back from all of this for a while.
There’s nothing you can do about Layla now.
With Lucius supporting her and the truth out about her being the real heiress, you’ve lost any chance of pushing her out of your way.” Orabela hummed faintly, lowering her eyes as the reality of her situation sank in.
She had been left utterly alone, abandoned by the people who once surrounded her.
Every bit of attention she had once relished was now directed at Layla, and it burned her inside.
“Look who’s here!” Kylie suddenly exclaimed, her voice drawing Orabela’s attention.
Orabela lifted her head, following Kylie’s gaze.
Her heart clenched when she saw the familiar figure.
“Layla,” she muttered under her breath.
“She’s glowing,” Kylie observed, unable to hide her admiration.
Orabela’s jaw tightened, her fingers curling into fists as her gaze fell on Lucius, who was helping Layla into her seat with care and tenderness.
The sight was salt to her wounds.
“I need to leave,” Orabela announced abruptly, standing up and grabbing her handbag.
“Thanks for meeting me.” Before Kylie could stop her, Orabela turned on her heel and stormed off, only to collide with a waiter carrying a tray of espresso cups.
“Ahh!” Orabela cried out as the hot liquid splashed onto her.
Her frustration boiled over, and she immediately began yelling.
“Are you blind?
Do you have any idea how expensive this dress is?
Call your manager, now!” The waiter stammered out an apology, clearly flustered, but Orabela was relentless in her fury.
Kylie hurried over, trying to calm her down.
“Orabela, stop!
It’s just an accident.
Take a deep breath.” The commotion drew attention from across the café.
Layla and Lucius both turned to look, their expressions shifting as they recognized Orabela’s voice.
“I’m sorry, ma’am.
It wasn’t intentional,” the waiter apologized again, his voice trembling.
But Orabela refused to let it go, her anger simmering.
“Sorry doesn’t fix anything!
Do you know how much this dress costs?
Call your manager right now!” she demanded, her voice rising.
Lucius, observing the scene from his seat, leaned slightly toward Layla.
“Shall we go somewhere else?” he suggested.
Layla glanced at him, considering it for a moment.
“This is your favorite café,” she replied softly.
“Let’s not leave.
Just give me a moment.” Rising from her seat, Layla walked toward Orabela.
As she approached, memories from her high school days came flooding back.
She recalled the time she worked at a coffee shop near the school to earn extra money.
Orabela and her clique had frequented the shop, and one day, a similar incident occurred.
Orabela’s friend had spilled coffee on her, then turned the blame onto Layla, accusing her of ruining Orabela’s dress.
The humiliation had been overwhelming for Layla back then.
She had spent the rest of the day holding back tears, trying to clean the mess while enduring their mockery.
And now, as she watched Orabela berate the waiter, Layla couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for him.
She knew how it felt to be unfairly blamed, and she could see the fear in his eyes-fear that he might lose his job over this.
Reaching the scene, Layla stopped and said, “That’s enough, Orabela.” “I’m not talking to you,” Orabela muttered, controlling her anger.
The manager of the café was also at the scene, asking the waiter to apologize and pay for the mess he made.
“I’ll pay for your dress, Bella.
That’s the least I can do as your sister,” Layla stated and turned to gaze at the manager.
“Please don’t fire him,” she urged, looking at the waiter for a brief moment.
“And I’m sorry on behalf of my sister for creating such a ruckus.”
