Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 144
Chapter 144: Tsar, the Russian Mafia Chapter 144: Tsar, the Russian Mafia Lucius stepped out of the backseat of the car.
“Stay outside,” he told Aiden.
“But Boss it could be risky to let you go alone.
We don’t know yet if he’s on our side or not,” Aiden explained.
“Nothing will happen to me.
Just stay outside,” Lucius instructed him.
With that, Lucius walked into the abandoned factory warehouse after grabbing a bag full of money.
As Lucius stepped in with calm steps, he spotted the man standing at the center.
“You came.
I didn’t expect you to come here.” “Fred, you know that how I work.
If I give my word, then I don’t step back from it.
You better start speaking,” Lucius stated.
Fred Jefferson had worked as an agent in Russia for ten years.
The gang he belonged to was known to be the top three gangs in the country.
However, Fred left the gang about four years and started living a normal life.
“Calm down, Lucius.
Why don’t you give me the money first?
You want the information and I want money.
So, throw the bag to my side,” Fred stated.
Lucius hurled the heavy leather bag in his direction.
Fred caught it easily and opened its zipper.
His eyes widened with satisfaction after seeing the money.
“I trust you have given me the full amount,” Fred remarked, closing the zipper.
“Now, it’s your turn to tell me,” Lucius asserted.
“It’s a Russian Mafia.
Matteo was involved with him for a certain work.
Since I’ve worked in Russia for a while I saw him frequenting a club a lot of times.
The deals were made inside a closed room, no noise could go out, so I couldn’t hear their conversation ever,” Fred asserted.
“What’s the name of this Russian mafia?” Lucius asked.
“No one knows his name but he is famously known as Tsar.

He wears a mask on his face, so it’s impossible to recognise him.
But I’ve heard there is a scar on his face, running from his cheek to his eye that’s what I’ve heard,” Fred answered.
Lucius recalled the sketch that the old man from Spain had passed to him.
“Anything else you think I should know?” Lucius questioned.
“I heard you got married.
If you keep hunting Tsar, he might set his sights on the woman you love.
It’d be wise to withdraw before it’s too late,” Fred said firmly while warning him.
“As for Matteo, he must have made a grave mistake-that’s the only reason Tsar would personally come to Italy to eliminate him.” Lucius clenched his fists at Fred’s words, his expression hardening.
He swept a hand through his hair, brushing it back from his forehead as he chuckled darkly.
“I see.
Thank you for the information,” he said with a measured calmness, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.
His sharp gaze lingered on Fred for a moment before he turned on his heel.
“I suggest you disappear and start a new life somewhere far from here.” Without another glance, Lucius strode out of the dimly lit warehouse.
Outside, Aiden let out a quiet sigh of relief when he saw Lucius emerge unscathed.
Quickly, he moved to open the backseat door of the sleek black car, allowing his boss to slide in.
Once Lucius was settled, Aiden climbed into the passenger seat and gestured for the driver to start the engine.
A convoy of cars lined up behind them, their engines rumbling softly as the rest of Lucius’s men filed into the other vehicles.
Lucius’s gaze drifted to the gun resting beside him on the seat.
He stared at it with a tightened jaw.
‘What the hell were you doing, Matteo?
Why did you keep so many things from me?’ Breaking the silence, Aiden hesitated before speaking.
“Boss, what did Fred tell you?
And, if you don’t mind me asking, why contact him of all people?
Fred’s known for betraying his gang four years ago.
Can we even trust anything he says?” Lucius’s cold glare flicked to Aiden, silencing him immediately.
“Aiden,” he said in a low, clipped tone, “keep quiet.” Understanding the warning, Aiden swallowed his curiosity and shifted his focus to the road ahead.
Lucius leaned back against the seat, his eyes narrowing in suspicions and many unanswered questions.
~~~~ “Just as expected, Ruby met with David again,” Roger muttered under his breath, gripping the steering wheel tightly.
His eyes followed her as she disappeared into the lobby of the residential block, heading toward the elevator.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, he started the car and drove off, the tension evident in his rigid posture.
Suddenly, a figure darted out into the road, right in front of his car.
Roger slammed the brakes, the tires screeching loudly as the vehicle came to a sharp halt.
His heart pounded in his chest, a sharp jolt of fear coursing through him.
He lifted his gaze and froze.
Standing mere inches from the hood of his car was Sylvia.
Her hair shimmered under the streetlights, and her lips curled into a sly smirk as she tilted her head, watching him with unnerving amusement.
Roger’s fear quickly morphed into anger.
Without wasting another second, he threw open the car door and stormed out.
“Have you completely lost your mind?” he shouted, his voice echoing in the quiet street.
Sylvia’s smirk widened as she crossed her arms, clearly unfazed by his fury.
“Lower your voice.
Did Lucius ask you to tail me?” She asked, bringing the cigratte to her mouth.
“No.
My boss isn’t that free to tail on you,” Roger replied and turned to enter the car.
“Isn’t this car my brother provided you?” Sylvia inquired.
“You are mistaken,” Roger said.
“Now, get out of my way,” he pronounced.
“Why does Lucius love Layla?” Sylvia questioned.
“It’s impossible for Lucius to get attracted to any woman just in a day.
Why Layla?
Why did he send marriage proposal to Layla?
You are his servant, who remains by his side all the time.
So, tell me the truth,” Sylvia demanded.
“You don’t need to know.
Just remember that my boss never liked you and will never like you,” Roger stated.
“Tell Lucius not to send spies behind me.
It will make me more adamant to have him.
I won’t hesitate to remove Layla from his life.
He should at least pay that much for the price of my brother’s life,” Sylvia affirmed.
Roger clenched his fists and he strode to her.
Grabbing her arms, he pulled Sylvia up.
“Don’t touch me!
You filthy…” She couldn’t finish her words as Roger spoke in the middle.
“You’ve to face me before you do anything to my boss.
Lucius isn’t the reason your brother died.
So, stop blaming him.
Matteo was a mafia, who was involved with the underworld.
So, stop tormenting my boss and stay away from him,” Roger warned her before shoving her away.
As he turned to leave, Sylvia said, “You think I’ll listen to a filth like you.
Your boss was also involved with my brother’s work.
He needs to take the responsibility of what I’ve lost.” Roger turned to face her.
The next second, he cradled her neck and kissed her, causing Sylvia’s eyes to go wide.
