Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 181
Chapter 181: Your pain exceeded Chapter 181: Your pain exceeded “Are you still planning to go to Russia next week?
I hope you find what you are looking for,” Layla murmured softly, her head resting comfortably against Lucius’s chest.
Lucius’s fingers lightly traced patterns on her back as he replied, “I’m thinking of postponing the trip.” Layla’s brows furrowed in surprise.
She lifted her head, her curious gaze meeting his.
“What?
Why would you delay it?” she asked.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of Lucius’s lips as he looked at her.
“Because something else has been occupying my thoughts lately,” he asserted.
Layla shifted, propping herself up on her elbows so she could fully face him.
“And what might that be?” she asked, her eyes narrowing slightly, her curiosity piqued as she searched his face for answers.
“I have to make a solid plan before stepping my foot in Russia.
Tsar isn’t an easy opponent to defeat.
The informant, who told me about Tsar, is found dead.
You were asking me earlier if I scolded Roger and Aiden.
Yes, I yelled at them for being fools to stop me from chasing Tsar.
I was heated up and I just took out my anger on both of them.
After Zayne talked to me, I felt I should stay guarded and not act on my emotions,” he confided in Layla, revealing the turmoil inside him.
“Since you realized it, you can make it up with them,” Layla suggested.
“I am not a kind boss.
I have anger issues,” Lucius said.
“I never saw your anger though,” she remarked with amusement.
“Not toward me.” “There’s no way I’m ever going to be angry at you.” Lucius reached his hand to her hair and caressed it before pulling her down.
He pressed a soft kiss on her lips, his both arms wrapping around her.
They smiled while kissing and gently pulled away.
Layla bit her bottom lip, her gaze held his affectionately.
“You are special to me.
I am glad you want to make a solid plan before venturing into enemy’s territory.
If you need any kind of help, I’m ready for that.
I know you keep me off all that, but still you can consider me,” she opined.
“Are you not scared?

I mean, initially you were.
Are you no longer worried that something may happen to me while chasing for the truth of my friend’s death?” Lucius asked.
“Honestly, I am.
But I want to trust you.
I don’t want you to put any limitation on you.
However, I do want something from you,” Layla stated.
“What do you want?
Say it,” he encouraged her.
“I want you to go to your therapist,” she answered.
“You left your therapy in the middle, which isn’t good.” Lucius was quite startled to hear her demand this time.
“I’m sorry, but I met your therapist behind your back.
It happened after I met Father.
We talked and I got to know how difficult phase it was for you when you lost your brother.
You were not you and your pain exceeded after losing your close friend, whom you considered like your own brother,” Layla said softly and her eyes turned a bit watery.
“I appreciate you think so much for me.
But I don’t want this therapy.
Instead, just love me…
Give me all of your love and keep your faith in me.
Doctor Edward is a nice guy.
He did help me a lot, but it wasn’t helping me.
I hope you understand,” Lucius stated.
“I do.” She planted a soft kiss on the top of his forehead.
Her hand rested on his cheek as she caressed it tenderly.
~~~~~ “Why did you call me?” Roger demanded as he stepped out of his car, looking clearly frustrated by her sudden call.
Sylvia stood a few steps away, a bag clutched tightly in her hand.
Without warning, she hurled it in Roger’s direction.
He flinched but managed to catch it before it hit the ground.
“Are you out of your mind?” Roger hissed, his voice low but edged with frustration as he glared at her.
Sylvia crossed her arms.
“Give that to Lucius,” she said curtly.
“Tell him he won’t ever see me again-except on those two days.
And let him know that if he ever tries to find out how I’m doing, I’ll hurt Layla.
I hate his wife the most.
Make sure he gets the message.” Roger stared at her, bewildered.
“What the hell is wrong with you?
I’m not your errand boy,” he snapped, his voice rising slightly this time.
Sylvia paused mid-step, turning back to face him with a bitter smirk.
“No, you’re not.
But you are Lucius’s loyal dog,” she shot back in a venomous tone.
Roger’s jaw tightened as he marched toward her, his brows drawing together in anger.
“You just can’t help yourself, can you?
Always spitting poison.
Do you even know how to say something kind to anyone?” he retorted.
“Truth is always bitter,” Sylvia said, glaring at him.
“You won’t see me either,” she pronounced.
“Is this way you say a goodbye then?
Again keeping your head high, presenting yourself as an idol of perfection.
If you made a mistake by infuriating my boss, then accept it from the bottom of your heart.
Don’t keep your pride high.
And don’t hate, Layla,” he said, looking at her as he finally came to a halt.
“I’m not like you,” Sylvia snapped.
She stopped herself before saying more, biting back the harsh words she had almost unleashed.
For once, she didn’t want to hurt Roger more than necessary.
Without another glance, she turned and walked away.
Sliding into her car, Sylvia shut the door with a firm pull and started the engine.
The tires crunched against the gravel as she drove off, disappearing from Roger’s sight.
Roger let out a long sigh, his gaze dropping to the bag in his hand.
“What the hell did she leave for my boss?” he muttered under his breath.
He tossed the bag onto the backseat of his car, and climbed into the driver’s seat.
