Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 205
Chapter 205: Move out of Italy Chapter 205: Move out of Italy Layla left the boardroom after a meeting and was ready to leave.
As she collected her things, Aiden walked in.
“Orabela demands to see you,” Aiden informed her.
It confused Layla first, but then she asked him to let her in.
Within seconds, Orabela stepped into the office room and looked behind her.
“Can we have a private conversation?” she requested, wanting Aiden to leave.
Layla gestured to Aiden, who walked out, leaving the two sisters alone in the room.
“I need to go home.
Say it quick,” Layla asserted.
“Canvin broke the marriage as he found out I’m the illegitimate daughter of my father,” Orabela replied.
“He said he didn’t wish to marry a woman whose mother attempted to murder you,” she added.
“Did you not tell him before?” Layla asked.
“I thought he knew,” Orabela replied, quickly wiping the tears that flowed down her eyes.
Layla’s heart melted, but the memories she made while being on Orabela’s place returned to her, making her remember she suffered worst than that.
“Why are you telling me all this?” Layla asked, avoiding her eye contact as she picked up her phone from the desk.
“I want to apologize to you,” Orabela said.
“I did wrong to you since we were young.
And I am sorry for seducing Roderick.
I wanted to snatch everything from you.
I-I turned so evil that I refused to see what was right or wrong,” she affirmed and sniffled.
Layla lifted her eyes to meet Orabela’s gaze.
“You can’t get my forgiveness.
It’s not easy to forget everything I went through,” she clarified to Orabela.
“I understand.
I just wanted to apologize,” Orabela stated.
As she turned on her heels, Layla stopped her.
“Did you tell our father?” Layla asked.
Orabela shook her head, facing her again.
“I will tell him now.
And you were right.

I got everything easily even after the truth was revealed.
I lived a life of a princess, getting everything on my demands.
While I didn’t let you have anything.
When I hit the rock bottom, I realized how lonely I am.
The friends who surrounded me ones are no longer there.
The man with whom I built a relationship, pushed me away already.
A part of your pain I’ve started understanding,” she muttered.
“Anyways, I’ll leave now,” Orabela said and left her sight.
Layla remained seated on her chair, contemplating for a moment.
She finally stood up and left the office.
Meanwhile, Orabela as expected was present in her father’s office, telling him how she wanted to leave the country.
“I want some peace.
I think I can’t live here and work.
I applied for a managerial position in the other country.
If I get selected, I’ll move out of Italy,” Orabela said.
“I can make other arrangements for you here.
You don’t need to get married now,” Darius told her.
He felt sending Orabela away might not be a good idea.
“Dad, I have nothing left here.
I don’t want to hurt anyone.
I have done the enough damage.
I want to forget a lot of things and want to heal myself while growing up in my career,” Orabela stated.
Tears hung on the edges of her eyes, but she didn’t let them fall.
Darius fell weak in front of his daughter’s choice.
“I’ll arrange the place for you if you move out.
Just tell me and don’t hide it from me.
I made a mistake years ago and I don’t want any of my daughters suffer because of that,” he stated.
Orabela hummed and thanked her father.
“I should leave now.
Thank you for giving me time,” she said with a faint smile and walked away.
~~~~~ The prison officer approached Seraphina as she toiled away at her assigned hard labor, her hands caked with dirt and sweat.
“Seraphina, your daughter is here to see you!” she announced.
Seraphina froze for a moment, the words sinking in like a ray of light piercing the gloom.
A flicker of joy lit up her tired face, and she hurriedly stripped off the worn gloves covering her calloused hands.
Stuffing them into her pocket, she wiped her palms on her faded uniform in a futile attempt to appear presentable.
The prison officer cuffed her hands and began walking in the opposite direction.
Without a second thought, she followed the officer, her heart pounding with anticipation.
However, as she entered the private room, her eyes widened to see Layla.
A disdainful look appeared on her face and she turned to leave.
“I am here because of Orabela.
So, just take a seat and find out what your actions did to your daughter,” Layla stated with a stern tone.
“I don’t want to listen anything from you,” Seraphina said.
“You’ve not changed a bit, have you?” Layla chuckled, feeling how foolishly Seraphina acted all the time.
“Why don’t you take a seat and make some efforts for improving the life of your real daughter?” she suggested.
Seraphina’s jaw tightened in anger.
However, she wanted to know how Orabela was doing.
Not once Orabela contacted her after the last time.
She finally took the seat before Layla.
“If you are planning anything against me from here, you should stop that.
Because Orabela life will get ruined.
Even now, she is rejected by everyone around her.
She was about to get married to a certain man, but he broke the marriage saying she’s the illegitimate daughter and her mother is in prison.
Don’t increase the baggage of crimes for Orabela that she’s unable to live well and be judged constantly because of your actions,” Layla proclaimed.
Her other intention was to find out if Seraphina had the hands behind the attack, but felt she didn’t know anything about it.
“I was attacked two days ago.
I hope it wasn’t you.
The police is investigating on it and they will come for you as well.
Don’t increase your prison term by making plans against me to take my life,” Layla warned her.
“I did nothing this time,” Seraphina promptly said.
She recalled the man, who had come to see her and wanted to free her for taking Layla’s life, but now, hearing all of this, she was a bit scared.
“It will be revealed in the investigation,” Layla stated and looked at her watch.
“I think I should leave now.” As she stood up, Seraphina held her hands.
“Don’t let Orabela’s life gets ruined.
She is innocent in everything.
There’s someone who wants you dead.
He came to see me, but-but I have no hands in any kind of attack so far.
I-I don’t like you, but I can’t let Orabela’s life to be destroyed because of me,” Seraphina stated, keeping her voice low.
Layla frowned to hear that.
“Who came to see you and when?” “I don’t know his name, but he seems powerful.
He offered me that he could take me out of here and make me live comfortably if I-I,” she paused for a second before finishing, “kill you.” “And did you agree?” Layla questioned.
Seraphina turned quiet as she lowered her eyes.
Layla pulled away her hands from her.
“Even though you kept me away from my real mother and kept me in dark, I always tried to be a good daughter to you.
How could your heart never flinch once toward all this?” With that, she turned to leave.
“Please forgive me, Layla, and don’t tell Orabela,” Seraphina screamed and rushed toward the door but the prison officer came at that moment, thus stopping her.
