Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 253
Chapter 253: Act like a teenager Chapter 253: Act like a teenager Lucius and Roger arrived in the local police station of Naples, where Sylvia was present.
As they stepped out of their car, Lucius’s eyes fell upon Sylvia’s car, which had many scratches and even the side mirror of it was broken.
He furrowed his brows together, wondering what Sylvia brought upon herself.
Walking inside, they spotted Sylvia seated on the bench quietly.
She lifted her head when she saw two men stopping right in front of her.
“Lucius!” Sylvia exclaimed in joy and quickly rose to her feet.
Without waiting for a response from him, she hugged him.
Her thundering heart finally getting to its normal pace.
Lucius placed his hands on her shoulders and pushed her away gently.
He scanned his eyes on her face, making she got no injuries and then examined her hands.
“I am fine.
I got no injury,” Sylvia replied.
“Mr.
De Salvo, this is station head, Leone Petrov.” Lucius turned to look at him and shook his hands with him.
“Thank you for helping out,” he expressed his gratitude.
“I did my duty, nothing more,” Leone said with a smile and the two men withdrew their hands.
“Miss Mancini should go to Rome then.
However, I will again advise her to tell me who was chasing her,” he suggested.
Lucius glanced at Sylvia, already knowing she would not share it with the cop.
“Thank you, Officer, but I’d like to go home,” Sylvia said.
“Sure,” Leone said.
“Please sign in one document and then you can go,” he asserted.
The female officer behind Leone asked Sylvia to follow her.
“Mr.
De Salvo, I think Miss Mancini was chased by some gangsters.
I hope you tell me if she shared anything related to that with you,” Leone asserted.
“I will, Officer.
Thank you again for all your help,” Lucius stated with a smile.
Leone gave a nod to him and Roger before walking away.
“Sylvia definitely invited trouble, Boss,” Roger said.

Lucius phone buzzed and he saw it was a call from Morgan.
He took the call and brought it to his ear.
“Lucius, Sylvia never came to USA after she left for Italy a few months ago.
Are you sure she’s in USA?” he asked.
“Because she never went to the States and fooled me,” Lucius replied.
“What?” Morgan frowned in confusion.
“Sylvia is in Italy.
Sorry for troubling you, Morgan and thank you.
I’ll talk to you later,” he said and ended the call.
Once the paper signing was done, Sylvia followed Lucius and Roger to the car outside.
Roger opened the backseat’s door for her and she stopped.
“What about my car?” Sylvia asked.
“It will go to junkyard, of course,” Lucius said, entering the driver’s seat.
Sylvia sensed from Lucius’s tone that he was upset with her and she quietly entered the backseat of the car.
Roger closed the door for her and went to the passenger’s seat.
The entire drive was silent, except for the time when Lucius talked to Layla.
They arrived in Rome by the evening.
Lucius stepped out of the car first and went inside immediately.
Roger gazed at Sylvia, who exited the backseat.
“You should not have lied to Boss,” he said with a disappointed gaze.
“What were you even doing in Naples?” “I met Carlo,” Sylvia said.
“I don’t want to talk to you,” she muttered.
Roger chuckled and stopped her from going inside as he stood before her.
“Sylvia, you ruined an important day for one of our buddies.
To be honest, if you had called me, I would not have saved you.
You are almost 30 years old, yet you act like a teenager.” He looked at her with an infuriating gaze and walked inside before she could.
Sylvia ran her fingers through her hair and walked inside.
Layla immediately called her name as soon as she spotted Sylvia and rushed by her side.
She placed her hands on her arms, asking her if she was fine.
“You didn’t get any injury, right?” Layla asked with a worried gaze.
“I’m fine.
Thank you, Layla,” Sylvia said in a low tone.
Layla heaved a sigh of relief and placed her hand on Sylvia’s back.
“Come.
Take a seat,” she opined.
Sylvia glanced around, her gaze searching the room for familiar faces.
Lucius wasn’t there, nor were Roger and Aiden.
Layla approached her with a glass of water and handed it to her.
Sylvia offered a small, grateful smile and took the glass, sipping it slowly.
After setting it on the table, she asked, “Where’s Lucius?” Layla gestured toward the stairs.
“He went to change,” she replied before her face lit up.
“Oh, here he is!” Sylvia followed her gaze, looking toward the stairs, and rose to her feet.
Lucius descended with a composed demeanor, his dark eyes locking onto Sylvia as he approached.
Stopping beside Layla, he surveyed Sylvia with an unreadable expression.
“So,” he began, “why didn’t you leave Italy?
I thought you were quite serious this time.” Without giving her a chance to respond, he walked past her and settled on the couch across the room.
Crossing one leg over the other, he leaned back, resting an arm on the couch’s edge.
“What did you do behind my back?” he asked sharply.
“Calm down, Lucius.
Sylvia is already troubled,” Layla advised him and sat next to him.
“Layla, she doesn’t deserve my calm attitude,” Lucius said.
Aiden and Roger arrived there too.
Both of them took their seats on the sofa chairs.
“I had a business with Carlo.
I went to see him in Naples.
However, I had no idea he would try to capture me.
I somehow ran out from his mansion after losing some millions to him,” Sylvia muttered.
“You did what?” Layla shockingly gazed at her.
“Is Carlo a mafia too?
Why are you involving yourself with such people?” “Answer,” Lucius demanded sternly after a moment.
“I thought I should find out how my brother died.
I always blamed Lucius for it.
So, I needed an information,” Sylvia pronounced.
