Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 262
Chapter 262: A heart attack Chapter 262: A heart attack Shoving Sylvia away, Roger placed his hand on his waist, keeping his gaze fixed on her.
“I told you numerous times to stay away from me,” Sylvia yelled, turning to face him.
“What were you doing inside?” Roger asked, taking a step forward.
“I was trying to know June.
Can’t I even do that?” Sylvia questioned him.
“You were trying to create a rift.
You wanted to show to June how unworthy Zayne is for her because of what we do,” Roger stated.
“I don’t think like you.
I was just being honest,” Sylvia stated.
“Honest?” Roger chuckled.
“You were ruining the joyous moment.
Since everything is fine with you, then why don’t you leave to your house?
The longer you stay here, the more trouble you may bring,” he stated.
Sylvia rolled her eyes and decided to ignore him before walking past him.
However, Roger grasped her arm firmly, stopping her.
“You aren’t going inside but to your house,” he stated.
“Don’t tell me what I need to do,” Sylvia pronounced, glaring at him.
She attempted to release her arm from his grip.
She wryly laughed and tried to hit him, but Roger grabbed her other hand too.
Before she could understand, he twirled her, holding her both hands from his one hand.
“Roger, let me go!
Somebody save me!” Sylvia screamed.
“No one is going to come here, so shout as much as you want,” Roger said, swiftly pulling off his tie and used it to tie her hands.
“Ahh!” Sylvia cried in pain when it tightened around her wrists.
“Roger, get your filthy hands off me.
I swear I’m going to shoot you once I get free,” Sylvia warned him, tilting her head.
“You should,” Roger said, lifting her up on one of his shoulders.
Using the backdoor of the mansion, he took Sylvia to the guest room and threw her on the bed.
“Now, stay locked here,” he said and walked out, locking the door from outside.
“Roger!

Roger!” Sylvia shouted his name, but he had already left.
As Roger entered the living room, Layla noticed Sylvia wasn’t with him.
The others had already gone to the dining hall for the lunch.
“Where’s Sylvia?” Layla asked.
“In her room.
She doesn’t want to have lunch,” Roger replied.
“Is everything good?” Layla inquired.
“Yes.
We should hurry to the dining table,” Roger stated and went first.
“I hope everything is fine,” Layla murmured and headed to the dining hall.
~~~~~ Roderick entered the office after attending three meetings related to his projects.
As he went toward his desk, he saw a figure resting on the office couch.
He stopped and turned to see only to find Ivy there.
She was sleeping while being in the sitting position, her head swinging a bit in the air.
“Sir, I have brought the–” Secretary Luke walked in with three files in his hand, but stopped midway as Roger gestured to her to stay quiet.
He took the files from him and Luke left without asking him about the unfamiliar woman in the office room.
Roger placed the files on the desk.
‘What is she doing here?
Did she not sleep well last night?’ he wondered.
He rested on the swivel chair and began the work.
By the time, he was on the third file, Ivy’s sleep abruptly broke.
She blinked a few times before analysing her surroundings, realizing why she had come here.
“When did you come here?” Ivy asked.
Roger signed the paper and tilted his head to look at her.
“It’s my office,” Roderick said.
“I should ask what you are doing here.
I thought yesterday was the last time I saw you,” he added.
“Ahh, yes.
It’s your office,” Ivy murmured and stood up from her place.
Walking toward the desk, she settled on the chair now while Roderick looked at her with a suspicion.
“So, why are you here?” he asked, leaning back on the swivel chair, making himself at ease.
“Did you tell your grandfather that you wouldn’t see me anymore?” Ivy asked.
“Not yet,” Roderick replied.
“I will tell him today after I go home,” he said.
“Can you not do that?” Ivy urged him.
“Will that save your father’s company?
I thought you were not greedy like the others,” Roderick remarked.
“It’s not because of that,” Ivy said.
“Then?” Roderick arched his brow.
Ivy found it hard to tell him, but she had to convey the truth.
“My mother…
She got a heart attack when I told her that I didn’t wish to marry you.
She is admitted in the hospital,” Ivy revealed, her voice quivering and her eyes turned misty.
“I–I am sorry to hear that.
Why didn’t you call me?” Roderick asked as he straightened up.
“Is your mother in the hospital at the moment?
How is she?” “The doctors have operated on her.
She is out of danger, but the surgeon who operated on her said that we should not give her any kind of stress.
I haven’t met her yet because I-I was scared,” Ivy said with a trembling voice.
Roderick quickly stood up from his seat and grabbed the large coat from the hanger.
“Let’s go to the hospital,” he said and pressed the bell.
“Huh?
No.
You don’t need to come.
You must be busy with work,” Ivy opined.
“My work is finished,” Roderick replied as he put on the large coat.
“Sir, you called?” Luke asked.
“Yes.
I’ve signed the files.
I’ll go now,” Roderick said, handing gis secretary those files.
Tucking the phone inside his pocket, he grabbed the car keys and told Ivy to follow him.
Once they entered the elevator, Roderick said, “You should have called me last night.
Well…
Let’s forget that and meet your mother first.” “I didn’t wish to lie and keep you bound with me like this,” Ivy said, feeling embarassed.
“Don’t think like that,” Roderick said.
He noticed her body trembling, so he reached out his hand to her back and patted it.
“Everything will be fine, Ivy.
The surgery was successful, so don’t worry,” he said, calming her nerves down.
