Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 263
Chapter 263: Roger tried to kill me Chapter 263: Roger tried to kill me Roderick and Ivy arrived in the VIP ward, where Ivy’s mother was admitted.
“Roderick, you here?” Harvey Stone asked with a shocking gaze as he lifted from the chair.
“Ivy informed me regarding Mrs.
Stone.
Is she fine?” Roderick asked.
“Mira is out of danger with god’s grace and is asleep now,” Harvey replied.
“I see.
Here, I bought a bouquet for Mrs.
Stone on my way here with Ivy,” he said.
“That’s so sweet of you, Roderick,” Harvey stated and accepted the bouquet from him.
He looked at his daughter, wondering she was together with Roderick now.
If that was the case, then it was wonderful.
“Dad, I’ll put them inside the vase,” Ivy said, stepping ahead after placing her small handbag on the white table.
“I will go and meet the doctor in-charge,” Roderick said and excused himself.
“Did you tell Roderick?” Harvey asked, turning to his daughter.
“I understand that you don’t like Roderick, but he’s a considerate guy.
Don’t look at his past and move on.
Your mother and I were delighted when Roderick’s grandfather approached us with his son’s hand.
Once you start dating, you’ll get to know him in a better way,” he said, trying to make his daughter understand.
“Yes, Dad.
I know that.
I’m sorry for saying something like that,” Ivy said half-heartedly.
For her mother’s sake she had to be with Roderick.
“That’s good.
Mira was asking about you when she woke up.
Will Roderick be here till the evening?
It would be better if he does.
Mira may like it and feel better,” Harvey stated.
“I will ask him to stay,” Ivy said with a small smile.
“Dad, I’ll stay here at night.

You should go home for rest,” she then said.
“I should stay with my wife.
You didn’t sleep the entire night yesterday.
So, go home today and take some rest,” Harvey told her.
He rested his hand on his daughter’s head and caressed her hair.
“Everything is fine now,” he murmured.
“Hmm.” Ivy simply nodded her head though only she knew how terrible she was feeling.
~~~~ “June, keep visiting us.
It was truly wonderful to have you and Zayne here,” Layla said, holding her hands.
“I also enjoyed the day with you all.
You all are so warm.
Of course, I’ll keep visiting you,” June stated.
The two ladies hugged each other before June entered the car.
“Thanks Layla for the beautiful prepration you have made.
And Boss, Aiden and Roger, thank you for being a part of my happiness today.
I have planned to get engaged with June soon, so I’ll inform you all,” Zayne revealed to them.
“We are eager for that day,” Lucius stated, patting his shoulder.
“Go now.
June is waiting for you in the car,” he said.
Zayne hummed and rushed toward the car.
Sitting on the driver’s seat, he turned on the engine.
June waved at all of them and they returned her gesture.
Once the car was out of their sight, they all went inside.
However, what shocked them in the living room, Sylvia was standing with a pistol in her hand.
“What are you doing?” Lucius asked.
“Killing your dog,” Sylvia said, pointing the pistol at Roger.
“Sylvia, are you serious?” Layla stepped up to stop her when Lucius grasped her hand.
He shielded her with his tall frame.
“Put that down, Sylvia.
What’s wrong with you?” Lucius barked at her.
“Wrong with me?
Do you enjoy me being ridiculed by your servants?
When you all were enjoying, I was being locked in my room while my both hands were tied.
Is this how you want to treat me, Lucius De Salvo?” Sylvia shouted at him.
Roger took a step forward.
“It was me, who locked her in the room.
I didn’t want Zayne’s important day to be ruined in her presence.
I am sorry, Boss.
I have disappointed you,” he said and shifted his gaze to Sylvia.
“If killing me will make you happy, then you should pull that trigger,” Roger said.
“Stay quiet, Roger,” Lucius pronounced in a loud roar.
Without caring for his own life, he went to Sylvia, who threatened him with that pistol.
“Lucius!” Layla called his name in worry to stop him.
But it was of no use, he didn’t stop.
Lucius knew Sylvia would not dare to pull the pistol’s trigger on him and finally approached her.
His eyes widened when noticed her fingers how they pulled the trigger.
Swiftly, he moved her hands up and the bullet hit the ceiling above them.
Layla covered her ears in fear, thinking the bullet hit Lucius.
“I told you to behave.
You aren’t a teenager anymore,” Lucius said, glaring at Sylvia before snatching the pistol from her.
“Why don’t you ever say anything to Roger?
He’s the one who started it,” Sylvia said, feeling angry.
“Roger did absolutely right.
If I were in his place, I would have done the same.
You only ruin happy moments,” Lucius said.
“Why are you doing this, Sylvia?” Layla’s voice took over now as she gently pushed away her husband.
“I–I tried to understand what you were going through.
It seems you don’t care what a family is.
Do you think all of this will garner an ounce of love and respect for you?” She then grabbed Sylvia by her collar.
Lucius turned aside, letting his wife take the charge.
“Tell me,” Layla demanded, looking straight into her eyes.
“I am sorry,” Sylvia apologized, her anger finally subsiding.
“An apology won’t solve everything.
What if that bullet had hit any of us?
Would you be responsible for someone’s life?
I don’t care why you hate Roger so much, but in this house, if you want to even stay for a day, treat everyone equally.
He’s not a dog.
He’s Lucius’s friend, a loyal friend, who has been with him through thick and thin.
He is my brother, so respect him.
If you can’t, then don’t expect me or Lucius to treat you in a better way.
Tomorrow morning you will leave this house.
I don’t want you to stay here anymore,” Layla said and let go of Sylvia’s collar.
Aiden glanced at Roger, who was quiet in the entire scenario and wondered why Sylvia treated him so badly.
“Roger, follow me.
Aiden, you should go.
Have a good night’s sleep,” Lucius said with a smile.
“Yes, Boss,” Aiden replied and left first.
“Layla, I’ll see you in a while,” Lucius said and walked away while Roger followed him closely.
“Roger tried to kill me once,” Sylvia told Layla after the living room emptied, “that’s why I hate him.
He ridiculed me many times when I was young.”
