Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 273
Chapter 273: Please…
Don’t touch me Chapter 273: Please…
Don’t touch me Demitri waved off Aiden and Roger as their car disappeared down the road.
Pulling out his phone, he opened a ride-hailing app, scrolling to book a cab.
Just as his thumb hovered over the screen, a scream reached his ears.
His head snapped up in alert.
It was a woman’s voice.
It came again, sharper this time.
Without hesitation, he scanned the street ahead of the bar.
Following the noise, Demitri approached the narrow passage, where he saw five men surrounding a young woman and harassing her.
Panic gripped him; he wasn’t a fighter, and charging in would be reckless.
But he couldn’t just walk away.
An idea sparked in his mind at that moment.
Quickly, Demitri fumbled with his phone, playing the ringtone that mimicked the blaring siren of a police car.
“Police!
They’re nearby-let’s get out of here!” one of the men shouted in panic.
Within moments, the group scattered like startled rats, vanishing into the darkness.
Only when they completely disappeared, Demitri step forward to help the woman.
The woman lay crumpled on the cold ground and was trembling in fear.
Her hair fell in tangled strands over her tear-streaked face, her hands clutching her shirt as though it were her last line of defense.
“Miss, are you alright?” Demitri asked softly, lowering himself to one knee.
“Please… Don’t touch me,” she whispered in a shaky voice with fear.
She shrank away from him, her eyes wide and pleading, her body curled protectively.
Demitri froze, his hands raised to show he meant no harm.
“It’s okay,” he said gently.
“You’re safe now.
I won’t hurt you.
I promise.
They aren’t around.
Let’s get out of here.” Demitri quickly took off his warm overcoat, noticing her ripped shirt and discarded jacket lying in the dirt.

The woman sat up straight, allowing him to drape the coat over her shoulders.
“I’ll hold you up,” Demitri assured her, gently grasping her arms and helping her to her feet.
“You aren’t injured, are you?” he asked, his eyes scanning her face.
Her forehead bore a faint bruise, and he immediately decided to take her to the hospital.
Guiding her out of the narrow passageway, Demitri swiftly booked a cab.
As they made their way to the hospital, the woman fainted, her head coming to rest on his shoulder.
“Please, drive fast, Sir,” Demitri urgently requested the driver with a concerned gaze.
Shortly, they arrived at the hospital.
Demitri carried the woman inside and she was admitted.
The doctor examined the woman while the nurse asked Demitri to wait in the lobby.
~~~~ Near midnight, the woman slowly regained consciousness.
The first thing she saw was Demitri seated on a chair, his head swaying slightly as he dozed.
As she attempted to sit up, Demitri’s eyes fluttered open.
“Wait!
Don’t sit up.
I’ll call the nurse,” Demitri said hurriedly before rushing out of the room.
The woman was taken aback by the sight of an unknown man helping her.
A sharp pain coursed through her body as she tried to prop herself up on her right elbow, forcing her to lie back down.
The nurse soon arrived, checking the glucose bag.
“It’s finished.
You can take her home,” the nurse informed Demitri.
“The rest you already know,” she added.
“Yes,” Demitri replied, grabbing the envelope containing the medicines he had already bought.
“Thank you, Doctor,” Demitri said as the nurse walked away after taking out the IV drip from the woman’s hand.
“How much do I owe you?” the woman asked.
“It’s not much.
Come, I’ll drop you home.
You need to take a good care of yourself, Miss.
The doctor said you have been not taking a proper rest for the past few days,” Demitri explained.
The woman stared at him in disbelief.
“What do you want?” she asked.
“What do you mean?” Demitri looked at her in confusion.
“Why are you helping me?
You don’t know me, Mister.
Isn’t it strange?
Do you want me to sleep with you?
Is that why you are doing this to me?” the woman questioned with an accusatory gaze at him while tears brimmed in her ears.
Demitri felt that the woman was undergoing a lot of things in her life.
“I think you are mistaken me.
You needed treatement.
If there were someone else at your place, I would have helped them too.
I think you are strong enough to walk to your own place.
Here’s your medicines.
You need to take them once a day,” Demitri said, placing the envelope next to her.
“Take care,” he said and left.
The woman ran her fingers through her hair, realizing she was too harsh on this unknown man.
“He only wanted to help you, Nora,” she said to herself and grabbed the envelope.
Nora put on her worn off shoes and stood up, holding the medicine envelope in her hand.
Nora approached the receptionist and asked him about the man, who paid for her medical expenses.
“Can you tell me your name, Miss?” asked the receptionist.
“My name is Nora Pace,” she answered.
The receptionist checked the data and said, “It was Mr.
Demitri Velkazh.” “Is there any number mentioned?” Nora asked.
The receptionist looked at Nora for a moment before nodding her head.
“Please, can you provide that number?
I need to pay him back,” Nora said in a humble tone.
“Sure.” The receptionist jotted that number on a paper and handed it to Nora.
“Thank you,” Nora said and walked out of the hospital.
She saved Demitri’s number in her phone and stopped a taxi outside.
Sitting inside it, she left for her house.
Staring out of the window, Nora thought, ‘I thought all men are same.
How can there exist a man who is helping a woman without asking anything in return?’ She leaned her head against the window and closed her eyes, ‘I need to apologize to Demitri tomorrow.’ She tightened her hold on the envelope.
A line of worry formed on her forehead as she took this moment to take short rest.
