Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 277
Chapter 277: Lost my mind Chapter 277: Lost my mind “Elliot, I thought you were a serious type of guy.
I didn’t expect you to call me here to interrogate about a matter of which I wasn’t even a part.
You left Ivy when she needed you, so reflect on your own mistake first,” Roderick uttered his disappointment.
The waiter had returned with a food trolley, ready to serve them.
Roderick left his seat, glancing at Ivy for a brief moment.
“Don’t you want to leave with me?” he raised a brow.
“This is the last time we are seeing each other,” Ivy told Elliot, fighting back the tears, which were ready to fall off her eyes.
Grabbing her clutch bag, she stood up and left with Roderick.
As the elevator doors closed behind them, Ivy broke down, silent sobs shaking her shoulders.
When the elevator stopped on the next floor, more people stepped in, forcing her to stifle her cries.
Without a word, Roderick moved to shield her, pulling her close and tucking her face against his chest beneath the thick folds of his long coat.
One hand rested protectively on the back of her head, while the other pressed against the glass wall behind her, creating privacy that allowed her to release the emotions she had been holding back.
It didn’t take them long to reach the ground floor and Ivy pulled away immediately.
Roderick held her hand and dragged her out to the woman’s restroom.
Stopping outside it, Roderick tilted his head to Ivy, “Go ahead.
I’ll be staying here,” he said in his soft voice.
Ivy lowered her head and walked into the washroom.
Roderick, on the other hand, leaned against the wall, his hands casually tucked inside his coat.
His eyes fell on a faint red stain marring the cream-colored turtleneck beneath his coat.
He chuckled softly to himself.
“Mom’s definitely going to make a fuss about this,” he murmured, shaking his head.
It didn’t take long for Ivy to step out and he straightened himself.
“I’ll drop you home,” Roderick offered.
“I can go myself.
You don’t need to bother yourself.
I have already troubled you enough,” Ivy said, not meeting his gaze.
“It’s not a bother,” Roderick replied.
“I’m sorry for not telling you I met Elliot that night.
I thought it wasn’t necessary.” “It’s fine.
He was with his cousin that night,” Ivy murmured.

“I don’t wish to talk about Elliot anymore,” she asserted.
Roderick simply nodded and walked ahead of her.
Ivy followed his footsteps, watching his back intently.
“Rick,” Ivy called out his name and he turned around to face her.
She closed the distance between them and tiptoed.
However, Roderick took a step back, not allowing her to kiss him.
“What are you doing?” Roderick asked.
Ivy curled her fingers, her hand tightening around the clutch once again.
“I wanted to forget it,” she whispered.
Bringing her hand to her head, she shook her head.
“I’m sorry.
I have lost my mind.” Without a word, Roderick reached out and took her hand, leading her outside.
When they reached his bike, he realized he only had one helmet.
He placed it carefully on Ivy’s head, securing the strap.
“Get on,” he said, gesturing to the seat behind him.
As Roderick swung his leg over the bike, his eyes caught sight of Roger and Aiden leaning casually against a car nearby.
The two men smirked at him, their expressions full of mischief, and they waved at him mockingly.
Ivy hesitated for a moment before climbing on, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist.
Roderick shook his head in disbelief, muttering something under his breath, before revving the engine.
As they sped away, Ivy held on him tightly before they stopped to buy a helmet for him.
From there, Roderick rode the bike at a higher speed, overtaking the vehicles while making sure Ivy enjoy the ride.
After a while, Roderick stopped the bike in front of Ivy’s home.
She dismounted carefully, and he helped her remove the helmet, gently brushing her hair back as their eyes met.
“That was a wonderful ride,” Ivy said, smiling.
“You can call me for another ride anytime,” Roderick replied, returning her smile.
Ivy nodded softly.
Then, with unexpected swiftness, she leaned in and kissed his cheek, catching him off guard.
“Thank you, and I’m sorry for misunderstanding you all this time,” she whispered before stepping back and heading inside.
Roderick let out a small smile as he watched Ivy disappear inside, then pulled his phone from his pocket, noticing Roger’s name flashing on the screen.
With a sigh, he swiped to answer.
“Why are you bothering me?” Roderick asked, his tone laced with irritation.
“I’ve sent you a location.
Come there,” Roger replied curtly before abruptly ending the call.
Roderick rolled his eyes, lowering the phone to check the message.
A furrow formed between his brows as he read the unfamiliar location.
Without hesitation, he revved the engine and set off toward the address.
The ride took him far from the city, the distant, desolate surroundings adding to his curiosity.
When he arrived, he noticed a group of men lingering near a large gate.
After a brief exchange, they waved him through, and he rode inside, parking his bike in front of an imposing structure that was unfamiliar to him.
“This way, Young Master,” said a man in black suit.
Roderick followed him inside only to find Roger and Aiden there.
However, they were not alone.
Two men were on the floor, brutally beaten up and their hands tied.
“What’s all this?” Roderick asked them.
“Who is Maxwell Carter?” Aiden inquired him.
“He is a friend.
Why do you want to know?
And what’s all this?
Does Uncle know what you two are upto?” Roderick frowned.
“Boss has given us green signal for all such things,” Roger asserted.
“Were you aware of being tailed?” he asked.
Roderick realized his doubt was right.
He nodded his head.
“And you hid it?
Why didn’t you tell about this to Boss?” Aiden furiously snapped at him.
“Because I knew he would go mad like you two,” Roderick muttered with annoyance.
