Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 289
Chapter 289: Stop looking for Tsar Chapter 289: Stop looking for Tsar Demitri stared at his computer screen before bringing his hands to the back of his head.
He ruffled his hair and turned off the system after some time.
Days had passed since he started looking into Tsar’s whereabouts, but so far he had found nothing.
Slipping into a thick jacket, Demitri put his wallet inside and went outside to breathe some air and also have a dinner.
As soon as he stepped outside, the rain started pouring down.
He went inside and grabbed his car keys along with an umbrella.
Driving in a car, he reached a fine dining restaurant, not too far from his house.
He ordered a hotpot and took a seat near the window.
Looking outside, he watched the rain pour, falling in his own thoughts.
The phone in his pocket buzzed and he took it out.
“Grandma?” Demitri mumbled and quickly answered the call.
“Grandma, good evening.
Is everything fine?” he asked worriedly.
“Everything is fine.
Do you think I call you only when I’m not well?” Grandmother Alessia asked from the other side.
“No,” Demitri chuckled with a smile.
“I have a proposal to share with you.
Do you remember Mr.
Tony Morelli?” she asked.
“Yes, I do.
What about him?” Demitri inquired.
The waiter came with a hotpot and placed it on the table.
Demitri thanked him with a smile and focused his attention on the call.
“Mr.
Morelli has a proposal for you.
He has a distant relative, kind of a granddaughter, who is single too.
You should meet her for a date,” Grandmother Alessia said from the other with high hopes in her mind.
“Grandma, you could have refused it,” Demitri said, stirring the hotpot soup with the spoon.
“You know how much Mr.
Morelli has done for us.

I couldn’t refuse him.
It’s not like I’m asking you to date the woman he has introduced to me.
You just need to meet her tomorrow,” Grandmother Alessia suggested.
“Alright.
You can send me the address where I need to meet this lady.
And the next time, if someone approaches you with a proposal, please reject them,” Demitri requested.
“How could you say that?
The world doesn’t end after one breakup.
Explore more,” Alessia scolded her grandson.
“Hmm.
I get it.
I’ll go and see her,” Demitri said, realizing there was no use in arguing with his grandmother.
After hanging up the call, he dived into the hotpot, savoring it to his heart’s content.
After finishing the large hotpot, Demitri felt much better, his hunger finally vanished.
He paid the bill and went back to his car.
Checking the phone, he found out the address that his grandmother had sent only a moment ago.
“I’ll go there.
Don’t worry,” Demitri texted his grandmother, making sure she would not stress about it.
Putting the phone aside, he drove back to his house.
Arriving at his home, Demitri found out the front gate of his house was open.
The lock was practically broken and he rushed inside to check.
The entire house was shrouded in darkness and he switched on the lights.
His heart pounded in his chest in fear.
As Demitri scanned his eyes around in the living room, he didn’t find anything strange.
He looked upstairs and went to his bedroom, thinking if the thief was there.
Rushing upstairs, he realized no one was in the bedroom either.
Demitri’s eyes moved to his office space and saw the lights were on there.
He remembered well now he left after switching off the lights.
He opened its glass door and walked in.
He spotted a sticky note on the screen of the computer and he pulled it.
“STOP LOOKING FOR TSAR.” Demitri’s fingers tightened around the paper and he knitted his brows close.
It was a warning from the Tsar himself.
But how?
How did they find out that he was looking for him?
Demitri felt his throat drying and he placed the note on the table.
“Should I tell Lucius?” he murmured before slumping on the chair.
“If I tell him, he will definitely start the search right away.
But if I hide it from him, he will again feel betrayed.
Tsar knows our every movement.
How?
How the heck does he know I was looking for him?” Demitri felt strange because he never made a mistake while hacking any kind of system.
“Maybe I did this time.” Demitri held his head and slipped the phone out of his pocket.
Looking at Lucius’s number, he hovered his finger over the screen.
“I promised him that I would tell him,” he stated.
“Matteo made a mistake, but I shouldn’t do the same.” Contemplating for a while, Demitri still couldn’t make a decision.
He recalled their fight from a few weeks ago and finally dialed Lucius’s number.
Demitri tapped his fingers on the table when Lucius answered finally.
“Hmm?
Sorry, I fell asleep,” Lucius said in a drowsy state.
“Oh, I disturbed your sleep,” Demitri whispered.
“You should take a rest.
I’ll talk in the morning,” he said in a low voice.
Lucius sensed something was off.
He gazed at Layla, who was sleeping peacefully beside him.
Quietly, he moved out of the bed and went outside.
“Is everything alright?” he asked with a worried tone.
“No.
Can I come there?
I don’t think I can stay at my house tonight,” Demitri said, his voice trembling in fear.
“I’ll send someone to pick you up,” Lucius said.
“Hmm.
Thank you,” Demitri replied.
“Keep your location on and send it to me.
Just wait ten minutes, my man will be there,” Lucius asserted.
“Okay.” Demitri licked his lips to moisten them a little and hung up the call.
He sent his location to Lucius and went downstairs to change the password of his door lock first.
Once done, he rested on the couch of the living room, waiting for Lucius’s man to arrive.
His phone buzzed, startling him, and thus increasing his heartbeat.
He answered Lucius’s call immediately and heard his voice.
“My man is there.
Open the door,” Lucius instructed.
Demitri rushed to the door and opened it.
He was relieved to see Lucius’s trusted aide and left for Lucius’s home in the car.
