Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 299
Chapter 299: Make her hate me Chapter 299: Make her hate me Aiden and Lucius sat in the airport lounge since their flight still had time.
“Boss, why did you save me?
Why did you tell them you need a week to completely disappear from our lives?
No one is going to accept this decision of yours.
And what about Layla?
How are you going to leave her?
I think we should take the police’s help,” Aiden said, keeping his voice low, so that other few people present in the lounge wouldn’t hear them.
Lucius remained quiet as if he didn’t hear Aiden’s questions.
“Please say something, Boss,” he said.
“Don’t tell anyone what happened here,” Lucius urged.
“No.
I cannot do that,” Aiden refused to keep the truth from any of them, especially Layla.
“Aiden, please.
I want you to keep quiet about it.
I was aware that my real father was someone untouchable, someone who had an upper hand on me.
Matteo died while protecting me.
They will keep threatening the lives of everyone around me.
Did you not hear them?
For them, family doesn’t have any value.
And I need to end them, Aiden,” Lucius asserted, explaining him a bit what he wanted.
“And how will you end them, Boss?
By sacrificing your own life?
Can Layla even bear this separation from you?” asked Aiden with a worried gaze.
“We all will start living for once, but what about Layla?
She will be broken and devastated.
And we have no idea when you’ll return.
Are you sure you want to give such a sacrifice?” “I have an idea for that.
I will leave Layla’s life permanently.
I will make her hate me forever.
She is still so young.

And I am sure she can find a better man than me.
I dreamt too high.
Roderick was always right.
I can’t love anyone around me because I was always involved with mafias,” Lucius muttered, not realizing what he was saying now.
“Boss, how could you even think about making Layla hate you?
I will go back to them and ask them to end me.
I have no one around me to mourn for me, except for a few.
Please live your life the way you wanted it.
Because of me, you got trapped.
That’s why I should take you out of this problem,” Aiden opined and almost raised to his feet, but Lucius caught his hand.
“Aiden, trust me,” Lucius said.
“I don’t want to trust them.
They are devils,” Aiden refused to agree with his boss’s demand.
“I am asking you to trust me.
I know what I am doing,” Lucius asserted.
“Please, keep it with yourself.
Don’t tell anyone ever about this until the day I return.
I want to protect you all.
Please,” he kept requesting.
“Boss, don’t do this,” Aiden said, his eyes turned misty.
He had always been a strong guy, who would hardly get emotional.
His heart was aching even to think about Lucius’s disappearance from their lives.
“Boss, convince them to keep me with you.
Please.
I want to make sure you remain safe.
I need to be with you.
You can’t stay alone with them,” Aiden affirmed, giving him a new idea.
“Aiden, that’s not possible.
They won’t hesitate to harm you before my eyes.
Instead, be with Layla.
I mean…
I want someone to take care of her when I won’t be in her life,” Lucius pronounced.
Aiden averted his gaze from Lucius, not letting those tears fall from his eyes.
However, they still rolled down his cheeks and he opened his mouth to speak.
“I will do what you want, Boss.
But you need to end then within a few months.
I think three months will be enough.
If I don’t receive any message from you after three months, then I will come to Russia,” he asserted.
“Fine,” Lucius agreed to his condition.
Though deep in his heart he knew it would take more than six months to end Vladimir and Tsar Romanov or even more.
What was troubling him how he would make Layla leave his life forever.
It would be tough to send her away, but he couldn’t let her get even a single scratch.
He wasn’t meant to be happy, at least, not in this happy.
“Boss, I am so sorry,” Aiden again apologized.
Tears streamed down his eyes freely now and his voice almost choked.
“I will never be able to forgive myself,” he said while sobbing profusely.
Lucius’s eyes turned moist too, but his tears didn’t come out.
He squeezed Aiden’s hand tightly in his.
“Don’t cry.
It’s not like I will never return.
Aiden, you are my strongest friend.
You should know that how much hopes I have from you.
I know you’ll handle everything well,” he pronounced.
Aiden shook his head as he lowered his head, letting himself drown in the sorrow which was about to come.
He still remembered the time when Lucius raised a hand of friendship toward him by saving his life from the gangsters.
And now, when the time came to return his boss’s favor, he was unable to do.
Keeping the truth from Layla was going to be the most challenging task.
And Alekis, would he able to survive this blow?
Would be able to live after Lucius disappeared too?
All Aiden could see was everything crumbling down before his eyes.
“Hey, look at me,” Lucius told Aiden.
With much difficulty, he raised his head when Lucius wiped his tears using his hand and handed a handkerchief to him.
“Don’t cry.
Nothing wrong has happened.
You and I are alive.
Everything will turn well.
I promise,” he said.
After a while, when Aiden was finally stable, he excused himself and went to the washroom.
Meanwhile, Lucius took out his phone and realized it would still be early morning in Rome.
“Layla, I am returning.
Aiden is safe,” Lucius typed a message and sent it to his wife.
