Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 304
Chapter 304: You met Tsar in Russia Chapter 304: You met Tsar in Russia Layla noticed a shift in Lucius’s behaviour since the day he returned from Russia.
At first, she felt she was overthinking, but now she was sure something was off with him.
Lucius didn’t even tell her about Seraphina, nor her father was speaking about it.
“Layla, your reports have come!
We need to go to the hospital,” Lucius told her.
“Now?” she asked.
“Yes,” Lucius replied.
“Okay.” They both left for the hospital and met the doctor, who was examining Layla’s reports.
“Everything is fine with Mrs.
De Salvo.
Her Vitamin D and B12 are low, so I’ll give some medicines for that.
Rest, I would suggest that she rest properly and eat homemade food only,” the doctor advised.
“There is nothing to fear, right?” Lucius asked again.
“Everything is fine, Mr.
De Salvo,” the doctor replied with a polite smile.
He took the prescription slip from the doctor and they went to the chemist shop.
After purchasing the meds, they returned to their car.
“I think after becoming the chairwoman, you have been stressing a lot with the work,” Lucius stated as he started the engine.
“It happens sometimes.
Don’t fret about it,” she asserted.
“Are we going home?” “Yes.
Do you want to go somewhere?” Lucius asked.
He was ready to take her to every place she would ask for in the remaining few days.
“Umm…
Let me drive,” Layla offered.
“Just tell me.
I’ll drive us there,” he said softly.
“It’s a surprise,” she replied, and stepped out of the car.
Lucius knew he couldn’t win in front of Layla, so he just shifted to the passenger’s seat.
Settling into the driver’s seat, Layla drove the car out of the hospital’s premises.

“Where are we heading to?” Lucius asked her again.
“To my secret place,” Layla replied.
“Just be patient,” she added.
Lucius found out they were out of the noise of the city and were in a place, which was covered in trees, and greenery.
Finally, she applied the brakes on the car.
Stepping out the car, Lucius came toward Layla’s side and asked, “Why are we here?
All I can see are the trees.
Is it a private property?” “Well, it’s a place where I used to come in the past when I was upset,” Layla told him and hooked her arm around his.
“Let’s go there.” Dragging Lucius with her, they both stopped before a giant treehouse.
“That’s wonderful!” Lucius exclaimed in awe.
“Then, let’s climb up there,” Layla told him.
She was the first one to climb into the treehouse and gestured to Lucius to come up.
She went into the small space to rest, where Lucius soon joined her.
Holding Lucius’s hands, Layla said, “Let’s close our eyes and hear the sounds of the birds.” He followed her steps and heard the singing of the birds, who appeared to be present far from them.
Such sounds would not be audible in the cities.
The rustling of the leaves as the wind blew calmed his mind.
‘I wish we can live here forever.
I wish this peace could exist in my life too,’ he thought.
Again, the thought of getting separated from Layla ached his heart, but he couldn’t show it for her sake.
“Lucius,” she whispered, her hand finding his cheek.
He opened his eyes and met her calm gaze.
“What’s the matter?” Layla asked him finally.
“You aren’t you since the day you have returned from Russia.
You seem lost to me.
Your eyes…
They are suddenly unreadable to me.
Don’t you want to share your worries with me?
Don’t you want to tell me what exactly happened in Russia?” “It is because I failed to find Tsar,” Lucius replied.
“I thought I would find out the truth this time, but I couldn’t.” He lied again, cursing himself internally for breaking Layla’s trust like this.
But was there any other way?
In his eyes, no.
“You are lying to me,” Layla said.
“I know you, Lucius.
I didn’t fall in love with you because you had power, or money.
I fell in love with you because you were willing to do anything for me.
When I was all alone, you became my shield and protected me from everything that was coming my way.
You never cared for my past.
The man I love lies to me whenever he wants to protect me.” She didn’t get upset because this time the situation was different.
Lucius was undergoing something painful that he couldn’t even share with him or anyone around him.
She knew him well, too well.
‘How can she see through me?’ Lucius thought.
“Again, you are overthinking.” He couldn’t fall weak now and pretended to be fine.
‘Since Lucius isn’t ready to tell me anything, then I will find out the truth myself,’ Layla pledged while being determined.
“Can we buy a property here?
It would be nice if we have a small house here in the future,” Lucius said.
Despite knowing his future now was uncertain, he wanted to knit them and think how it would be like.
“It’s a private property of my friend.
It’s going to be difficult to buy even a small amount of land here,” Layla pronounced.
“Which friend?” Lucius asked.
“He doesn’t live here and I don’t want to tell about him yet.
Maybe the day he returns, I will introduce you both,” Layla replied.
“Sure.” Lucius didn’t pry much as he just wanted to live in that moment.
“There’s nothing that I cannot achieve– That’s what you’ve told me a long time ago,” Layla said.
‘So, whatever is pestering you, I’ll bring an end to it.
I know you met Tsar in Russia.
Something is off about your return.
But I’ll make sure you get rid of the ‘fear of losing’.
I will bring Tsar out and punish him for you.’ “I know.
You can achieve anything you want, Layla.
That’s the kind of attitude you possess and I am proud to say that an ambitious woman like Layla is my wife,” Lucius pronounced with a warm smile.
