Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 307
Chapter 307: Keeping my plan Chapter 307: Keeping my plan Tapping his ear, the man connected to Layla and said, “I have to take Tsar to the headquarters, girl.” “Please, do me the favor I talked about with you, Luca,” Layla requested.
“You will be responsible for making me lose my job.
Make sure you feed me well then,” Luca said.
“Sure,” Layla said with a smile, “and thank you.
Should I send Roger and Aiden for your help?” “No.
I have my teammates,” Luca replied.
“Go home and you’ll see me there shortly,” he added and cut the call.
“Tsar Romanov, you made me wait for eight years to get my hands on you,” Luca pronounced, looking at his unconscious body on the floor.
~~~~~ “Let’s go back,” Layla said, glancing at both Roger and Aiden.
“Is it finished?
Did we finally catch Tsar?” Aiden asked, still not believing what he had seen in Russia.
“Yes, it is over,” Layla replied.
“Yayy!
We did it!” Roger extended his arms to hug Layla, but he didn’t do it and instead, hugged Aiden and jumped at his place.
“Boss will kill me if I hug you, Layla,” he said while laughing in joy.
Aiden’s eyes brimmed with tears as he hugged back Roger, feeling so much better.
It was as if a huge burden was lifted off his body.
“Aiden, glad you chose to be truthful to us.
Without you, this mission would have been impossible to achieve.
I’m happy that you didn’t hide the truth despite knowing the risks,” Layla expressed her gratitude.
“Sorry, Layla for not coming to you earlier but only three days ago,” Aiden said, feeling embarrassed and guilty for keeping it hidden from her for a while.
“Well, now, everything is fine.
Let’s head back then.
I need to see Lucius.
In the next one hour, he will be awake,” Layla opined, looking at the watch on her wrist.
“Sure,” Aiden and Roger replied in unison.
They left the control room and headed to the car, in which they had come.
Exactly an hour later, they were in the mansion.
Layla rushed upstairs to the bedroom.
In the living room, Alekis, Fiona, and Roderick were present, but she ignored them because right now, her prime focus was Lucius.
“Is everything fine?” Roderick asked.
“Did it end?” he looked at both Aiden and Roger.
“Yes.
We caught the culprit, who was behind this,” Roger replied.
Alekis heaved a sigh of relief and looked upstairs, hoping now Lucius would feel better.
Meanwhile, in the room, as Layla stepped in, she saw Demitri sitting on the chair next to the bed.
“Layla!” Demitri rose to his feet, seeing her perfectly fine.
“Lucius didn’t wake up yet.
I hope he does soon,” he asserted.
Layla sat on the mattress and held Lucius’s hand.
Her second hand moved to his tear-stricken face and she caressed it.
“It must have hurt him when I locked him here.
I hope he forgives me,” Layla said.
“Of course, he will,” Demitri assured her.
He didn’t ask her anything related to Tsar because he knew she had succeeded.
“I’ll go down now,” Demitri excused himself, leaving both of them alone.
Layla kept looking at Lucius’s face.
Finally, after some time, his eyes showed movements.
“Layla, don’t…
Don’t…” He murmured in his sleep.
“Lucius, I am here,” she spoke softly, her hand resting on his chest as she caressed it slowly.
Lucius heard her voice and attempted to open his eyes.
Finally, after much difficulty, he was able to see clearly and saw Layla.
“Why did you do all of that?” he complained right away.
His neck ached as he promptly sat up and hugged her tightly.
“Layla, you scared me.
Why did you do it?
Huh?
I can’t lose you like I lost them.
Please, don’t do this to me.
I cannot bear anything happening to you,” he said, his eyes again burning with tears.
“Lucius,” Layla softly called his name out and pulled away to cup his face.
“Tsar has been caught and also the mole, whom he had implanted between us, June Korlosky,” she affirmed.
“What?
How?” Lucius was flabbergasted.
He wondered if he was dreaming and even pinched the back of his palm.
However, it was real.
“I’ll tell you everything, but first, please wash your face.
You don’t look good.
I want my husband to look like Lucius Ds Salvo when he faces Tsar Romanov,” Layla pronounced and quickly pecked on his lips.
“So, just calm down now,” she asserted softly.
Lucius nodded at her.
He was confused, but he decided to do what he was told.
After washing his face and drying it with the towel, Lucius came out of the washroom and saw Layla still sitting on the bed.
“Layla, why did you not tell me anything?
You found out everything, yet you kept quiet.
Why?
What if something had happened to you?” Again it was Lucius’s fear, which spoke.
“You also chose to lie to me, Lucius, despite I kept asking for the truth from you.
That’s why I decided to lie to you too for your sake.
I knew you would freak out and wouldn’t think with a calm mind,” Layla stated, looking into his eyes.
“I couldn’t lose you to Tsar or your real father.
They had completely controlled you by threatening you with my life and others’ lives.
That’s why I felt keeping my plan from you would be the best if I wanted to achieve my goal,” she explained and rose to her feet.
“Did Aiden tell you the truth?” Lucius asked.
“No.
It was your phone, which told me half of the truth.
I am sorry, but I checked your phone when you were asleep four days ago.
Then, I met your father to find out the remaining truth because I knew you would never leave for Russia without telling him.
What upsets me, Lucius that you thought so low of me,” Layla said with tears finally emerging in her eyes.
“You thought I could truly move on, after you would be forever disappeared from my life,” she stated and a tear escaped her eye.
