Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle - Chapter 309
Chapter 309: The end for you Chapter 309: The end for you “You can’t scare me anymore,” Layla declared, her voice steady as she turned on her heel and walked out of the living room.
Lucius’s gaze darkened, and without hesitation, he followed her.
Luca trailed behind both of them.
The moment they stepped outside, the crisp night air met them, carrying the low hum of idling engines.
Two black cars were parked in front of the house.
“The second one has Tsar inside it,” Luca informed them, nodding toward the car guarded by two of his teammates.
Then, he turned to Layla and spoke in a firm tone, “Go back inside.
There are matters here that should be handled by men only.” Layla stopped, her gaze snapping to Luca with defiance.
“I need to confront Tsar,” she stated, her voice unwavering.
“And I’m not a girl anymore.” Her eyes flicked toward the second car, where the two officers stood watch.
The weight of unfinished business pressed on her, but before she could take another step, Luca let out a long sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling frustrated.
“Lucius, can we talk for a moment?” Luca asked, already descending the stairs.
He walked a few meters away, ensuring Layla couldn’t hear.
Lucius followed with a tense body.
Once they were out of her earshot, Luca turned to him.
“I don’t want to upset Layla,” Lucius admitted in a low voice.
“She’s the reason Tsar was caught.
She deserves to face him.” Luca exhaled sharply, his expression serious.
“It’s not wise to take that risk,” he countered.
“I can allow *you* to have a conversation with Tsar, but that’s it.
His father is still out there, Lucius.
Things aren’t as secure as they seem.” He glanced back toward Layla.
“Tell her to stay behind.
It’s for her own safety.” Lucius clenched his fists at the mere thought of Vladimir Romanov.
The man was as calm as a brewing storm-silent but deadly.
If he learned that Tsar had been captured, there was no telling what kind of havoc he would unleash.
Shoving his frustration aside, Lucius turned back to Layla.
Gently, he took her hands in his, his touch firm but reassuring.
“Stay in the mansion,” he urged in a softer tone.
“You don’t need to confront Tsar.” Layla studied his face carefully, searching for any hesitation.

“Are you sure?” she asked, wanting confirmation.
“More than sure,” Lucius affirmed.
“You’ve already done the impossible-something I couldn’t do for years.
But the danger isn’t over yet.
Vladimir is still in Russia, and he has a reach here too.
It’s safer for you to stay home.
Please.” His eyes held a silent plea, one he hoped she’d understand.
Layla exhaled, then gave him a small nod.
“Fine.
I’ll wait for you,” she relented.
But before he could relax, she added, “I’m still upset with you.
Keep that in mind.” Lucius let out a low chuckle, his lips tugging into a faint smile.
“I know.” He gestured for her to head back inside.
With one last glance at him, Layla turned and walked back into the mansion.
Only when she was out of sight did Lucius let out a deep breath, his shoulders finally easing.
“Let’s go,” he said.
Luca nodded, and the two of them got into the car.
The drive to Lucius’s base was long and tense, neither of them speaking.
Lucius had a storm of questions brewing in his mind, but for now, he focused on the road.
Luca, sensing the tension, remained silent as well.
Two hours later, they arrived at a high-security compound, surrounded by towering walls and multiple armed guards.
The place was isolated-perfect for what was to come.
Lucius brought the car to a stop and stepped out, stretching his fingers after gripping the wheel for so long.
Luca followed suit, scanning their surroundings with sharp eyes.
“We should take Tsar there,” Lucius said, nodding toward the heavily reinforced building ahead.
Luca hummed in agreement before glancing back at his teammates.
“Bring him out,” he ordered.
The officers exchanged a look before opening the car door.
A moment later, Tsar was dragged out, his wrists tightly bound and he was still unconscious.
Once inside, Tsar was dumped onto a chair, his body slumping lifelessly as rough hands secured thick ropes around him.
Still unconscious, he remained motionless until Lucius gave a sharp command.
“Bring the water.” A man stepped forward, carrying a heavy metal bucket filled with ice-cold water.
Without hesitation, Lucius seized it and upended it over Tsar’s head.
It jolted him awake, his body tensing violently as he gasped for air.
Water dripped from his hair, soaking his clothes and pooling beneath the chair.
Blinking rapidly, Tsar took in his surroundings, his sharp eyes finally locking onto Lucius.
A smirk curled on his lips, a low chuckle escaping his throat the situation he was in.
“So, this was your plan?” he drawled in amusement.
“Catching me like this, Lucius?
I swear, I’m going to kill that-” Before he could finish, Lucius’s fist slammed into his jaw with brutal force.
Tsar’s head snapped to the side, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Luca, standing nearby, remained impassive.
He had already ordered the others to leave, keeping his promise to Layla that no one else would know the true reason for this meeting.
Now, only the three of them occupied the dimly lit space.
Lucius grabbed Tsar by the collar, pulling him forward until their faces were inches apart.
“You can’t even touch her, Tsar.
Tell your bloody father to surrender-because this is the end for you.” Tsar, unfazed by the threat, let out a bitter laugh despite the pain in his jaw.
His eyes gleamed with defiance as he spat out a bit of blood.
“I won’t do that, Lucius.
Unlike you, I am loyal to my father.” His jaw clenched as his voice dropped to a near growl.
“Not every blood tie is built on loyalty.
You betrayed us, and you’re going to pay for it.
Also, he is your father too.”
