Chapter 28: Heading to the Flyover
The hummer drove at the front, and the Mercedes AMG G63 drove five metres behind it.

After exiting the villa gate, the two cars entered the Heishe Mountain pass.

As expected, the pass was clear, and thirty minutes later, the two vehicles arrived at the exit.

“How is it?” Qin Wu suddenly asked.

“There are six hundred and two zombies in the stretch ahead.” Mo Chenxuan answered.

“No living people?”

“Just zombies.” Qin Wu frowned and turned to Mo Chenxuan.

“Brother Chenxuan, what’s the current range of your spiritual power.”

“Five hundred metres.”

“Not bad.” Qin Wu nodded, removed a walkie-talkie from her space, powered it on, and adjusted the frequency.

“This is Lin Rongrong.” A voice floated over from the other side.

“Rongrong, it’s Qin Wu.”

“Is something wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong. However, there are scattered zombies in the next stretch. Do you want to kill them first or drive on?”

“Wait a moment.” Lin Rong Rong said and began discussing with Xu Fei.

A moment later, her voice travelled over the walkie-talkie.

“Xu Fei and I want to kill them. What about you and Mr Mo.?”

“We should collect crystal cores when we have a chance.” Qin Wu said.

After that, the two cars stopped at the corner of a building.

Without wasting time, the four exited the cars, and Qin Wu looked at the other two before speaking.

“Do you mind if I put your car away? It’s best to fight while walking forward.” She said.

“Thank you, Miss Qin.” Xu Fei said, and Lin Rongrong nodded, trying to suppress her unease.

Although she liked Qin Wu, she was uncomfortable that her and Xu Fei’s supplies were somewhere she couldn’t see.

However, she chose to believe in Qin Wu.

“Don’t mention it.” Qin Wu said, promptly storing the cars.

Seven zombies had walked towards them as they talked.

Seeing this, the four reacted and began killing the zombies.

Five minutes later, the seven zombies died, and the four dug out their crystal cores.

After doing this, they began to look around.

‘Wines & spirits shop, two bottled water shops, two gas cylinder shops, laundry mart, money transfer shop, four ordinary shops, grocery store, beauty products shop, two salons, restaurant, mini-mart, miscellaneous goods store, car parts shop, butchery, cake shop, and a barbershop.’ Qin Wu catalogued the street.

“Rongrong, Mr Xu, do you need anything from this street. I can help you collect.”

When they heard this, Xu Fei and Lin Rongrong looked at each other.

In fact, they did need some things but didn’t want to impose on Qin Wu and Mo Chenxuan.

However, they were in an apocalypse, and too many scruples would only hinder their survival.

“Miss Qin, Mr. Mo, thank you for your help. Let us know if there is anything we can do to repay you.” Xu Fei said, and the two nodded.

In ordinary times, storing things for people was not a big deal.

However, every favour was worth something in the apocalypse. There was no such thing as pure kindness and generosity in the end times.

“Alright. You can tell me what you need, and I will collect it. Don’t worry about space.” Qin Wu said, her red lips curled in a beautiful smile.

“Water, gas cylinders, food, and daily necessities.” Xu Fei said.

“Got it.” Qin Wu nodded and turned to Mo Chenxuan.

“What about you, Brother Chenxuan?”

“Wines and spirits.” The man said, and Qin Wu chuckled in amusement.

“I know your love for red wine.” She said, pinching the man’s hand.

“I love you more.”

“You better.” Qin Wu laughed, and the group continued.

The group cleared a one hundred metres street within thirty minutes.

After clearing the street, they collected the supplies before heading to the next street.

Time passed, and before they knew it, it was already seven.

At this time, the four just exited a street when they saw six people.

Of the six, two were middle-aged, one was a young man in his early twenties, two were teenagers, and the last was an old man.

“They look like a family.” Lin Rongrong observed.

“Family.” Qin Wu muttered, and a trace of murderous intent flashed in her eyes.

Having a family was a rare blessing in the apocalypse.

However, that was not always the case.

When Qin Wu thought of her previous life, her hands clenched into fists, and the nails dug into her palms.

Fortunately, just as she was about to lose control, a large hand held her smaller one.

Soon after, Qin Wu regained her composure, and her demeanour returned to normal.

“The older son has a fire element superpower, and the younger sister has a space ability. Unless something happens, the family should be able to survive.” Xu Fei said.

“They should be more careful with the younger sister’s ability. The space ability is too useful, and many people covet it.” Qin Wu frowned.

“Is it so dangerous for space superpowers?” Lin Rongrong couldn’t help but worry.

“It’s not just space superpowers but also healers and other rare ability users.” Qin Wu said, looking at Lin Rongrong with a meaningful expression.

On the surface, she was reminding Xu Fei and Lin Rongrong to keep her secret.

However, she was also warning them.

By mentioning healers, she implied she and Mo Chenxuan knew Lin Ringrong’s superpower. Consequently, they each had something over the other.

“Don’t worry, Qin Wu. We won’t tell anyone.” Lin Rongrong promised.

“Going forward, we can tell others my space superpower is an attack-type and doesn’t have storage capability.” Qin Wu suggested, and everyone nodded.

After meeting the family of six, the four encountered several others.

Of the several, most were superpowers, undoubtedly trying to harvest as many crystal cores as they could.

At eight in the morning, Mo Chenxuan, Qin Wu, Xu Fei, and Lin Rongrong arrived at the main road.

Before they set out, the four expected to find many zombies on the flyover.

However, they never expected so many.

“Why are there so many.” Lin Rongrong asked in an incredulous voice.
