Chapter 30: At the Gate
Xu Fei gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white.

He wanted to admonish Lin Rongrong for risking her life, but what right did he have?

After all, he was the one who was saved.

After thinking about it, Xu Fei sighed and turned to Lin Rongrong.

“Rongrong, thank you for saving my life.” He said.

“You would have done the same for me.” Lin Rongrong said, and Xu Fei nodded.

He would have done the same for her.

Marrying Lin Rongrong was not his choice.

Although Qin Wu and Mo Chenxuan usually wear masks, they can’t possibly wear them all the time for the rest of their lives. Sooner or later, their appearance will cause trouble.”

“It’s…” Xu Fei started, but Lin Rongrong interrupted him.

“Let me finish.” She said and quickly continued.

“They also have many secrets, and forming a team with them will complicate our lives. Xu Fei, do you remember we met a space ability user on the second of the apocalypse?”

“I remember him.” Xu Fei nodded.

Mo Chenxuan, Qin Wu, Xu Fei, and Lin Rongrong arrived at the gate of the Royal Gold Academy at nine in the evening.

When they arrived, Mo Chenxuan scanned the surroundings but soon frowned.

“What’s wrong? ” Qin Wu asked.

“There are hundreds of people two hundred metres from here.”

“Strange.” Qin Wu muttered, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.

“What about zombies?”

“None within three hundred metres.”

“Maybe those people cleared the area.”

“It’s likely.” Mo Chenxuan agreed.

At the same time, Qin Wu powered the walkie-talkie and asked the other two to meet outside.

Soon after, four people stood together before the school gate.

“Let’s check the guard house. We can sleep there if it’s appropriate.” Mo Chenxuan suggested, and the others immediately agreed.

The school gate was open, and the four easily entered.

A minute later, they arrived at the guard house.

“The door is broken.” Lin Rongrong observed.

The guard house was a simple structure.

It had a five square metres outer room and a ten square metres inner room.

The outer room had a desk and four chairs, while the inner room had a bunk bed.

Unfortunately, the door between the outer and inner rooms was a flimsy cardboard.

With the main door broken, the four didn’t dare to sleep in the guardhouse.

It seems we have to find another place.” Lin Rongrong sighed.

“We may not be the only survivors in the school.” Mo Chenxuan started and quickly continued.

“Remember not to communicate secrets and private matters in crowded areas. Use texts if it’s necessary to relay secret matters. Even then, hide the screen to prevent visually enhanced superpowers from peeking.”

“The apocalypse is so dangerous.” Lin Rongrong complained, but Qin Wu didn’t think anything of it.

“Rongrong, let’s go in and shower.” She said.

“Shower? Here?” Lin Rongrong asked in a confused voice.

However, Qin Wu didn’t answer.

Instead, she asked Xu Fei and Lin Rongrong to retrieve their clothes and daily necessities from their car.

After the two left, Mo Chenxuan sealed the room with Spiritual power before speaking.

“Don’t shower together. Use an outdoor privacy screen.” He urged, and Qin Wu laughed but soon turned solemn.

“You can peek at me but can’t look at Lin Rongrong.” She warned, her eyes flashing with a dangerous light.

“Don’t worry. I only want to look at you.”

“Good.”

Mo Chenxuan and Xu Fei left the guardhouse when Qin Wu and Lin Rongrong entered the inner room.

As an additional precaution, Mo Chenxuan encircled the guardhouse with spiritual power to prevent superpowers from peeking in.
