Chapter 32: Research
In their previous life, no one expected or was prepared for the apocalypse.

As a result, everyone gained tunnel vision.

When the study results were announced, everyone was at a loss.

After all, the remaining survivors were mainly superpowers and ordinary men.

Most importantly, the birth rate was pitifully lower than the death rate.

Considering everything, the scientists concluded that the human race would soon go extinct if nothing was done.

However, they also assured that the problem was caught in time.

With enough resources, the scientists were sure they could find a way to help superpowers have children.

Three years later, a solution had not been found, and people began to panic.

They were traded on the open market and enslaved for the sake of having children.

Women were especially pitiful.

“A mutated pomegranate appeared in the tenth year of the apocalypse. Eating it could aid superpowers in having healthy children.”

After saying that, Mo Chenxuan turned to Qin Wu.

“Wu’er, do you want children?” He asked, and Qin Wu immediately nodded.

“However, I don’t want them now. We can’t bring children into this horrifying world.” She said.

“Ordinary people have a lifespan of one hundred years. However, our lifespan will increase as the superpower level increases. With the mutated pomegranate, we can have children at any time.” Mo Chenxuan assured.

“Good.” Qin Wu said and unconsciously smiled.

A few minutes later, the two cars returned to the front of the school hall.

However, the door was still closed, and no one was in sight.

Seeing this, Mo Chenxuan continued forward, and Xu Fei followed.

Twenty metres ahead, they encountered a fork.

One path led straight ahead, and the other forked to the left.

“Which path should we take?” Qin Wu asked.

“Left.” Mo Chenxuan said, pointing to a broken sign three metres away.

“The left path leads to the field, canteen, and study block.” Qin Wu read, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.

“There are not many zombies in that area. We can quickly collect everything we need before heading to the dormitories.”

“Okay.” Qin Wu agreed and opened the walkie-talkie.

“We are heading left.” She said.

“Got it.” Lin Rongrong answered.

A moment later, the two cars drove left and soon saw a field.

The field was a typical playground, and there was nothing to see.

On the right, they saw the canteen.

The canteen was a small shop of about fifty square metres.

However, it had already been ransacked, and everything was taken away.

Seeing this, the four didn’t linger and continued on their way.

Soon after, they encountered a bend.

“The cars can’t go any further.” Mo Chenxuan said, and Qin Wu informed the following car.

After they exited their cars, Qin Wu collected the vehicles, and the four went on foot.

Less than three minutes later, they arrived at the first classroom.

The classroom had forty sets of desks and chairs.

Most importantly, there were no survivors or zombies in the classroom.

In no time, Qin Wu emptied the classroom before heading to the next.

Classrooms, physics lab, biology lab, chemistry lab, home science class, computer lab, arts and crafts room, …

The four emptied all the rooms and soon exited the study block.

In front was the school assembly ground, a chapel on the left and the administration block on the right.

Unsurprisingly, there was nothing on the assembly ground, but Mo Chenxuan was interested in the chapel.

“There should be wine in the church.” He said, and Qin Wu unconsciously smiled.

“I would think you are an alcoholic if I didn’t know better.” She said.

After that, the four went to the chapel, and Mo Chenxuan was right.

They collected the church wine, sacrament, hymn books, benches, wine goblets, bells, and all other removable things.

When that was done, they went to the administration block and took everything before heading to the library.

The school library was quite big.

However, Qin Wu still had a lot of space and directly collected everything.

“With this, we have enough textbooks to teach children from kindergarten to the final year of high school.” She said.

“Mmh.” Mo Chenxuan nodded but suddenly narrowed his eyes.

Simultaneously, he looked towards the previous school hall with a thoughtful expression.
