Chapter 33: Meagre Supplies
“I heard a gunshot.” Mo Chenxuan answered.

When Qin Wu heard this, she narrowed her eyes, and a trace of understanding flashed in her eyes.

Although Mo Chenxuan said he heard the gunshot, Qin Wu understood it as ‘saw using spiritual power’.

After all, she was an auditory-enhanced superpower but didn’t hear the gunshot.

“Is it the survivors in the hall?” Lin Rongrong asked.

“Maybe.” Mo Chenxuan said but didn’t want to dwell on it.

Looking at his watch, he saw it was half past eight.

However, although they had been working for almost three hours, they hadn’t encountered many zombies so their superpowers were still full.

Thinking of this, he glanced at the other three.

“Doesn’t anyone need rest?” He asked, but everyone shook their heads.

“In that case, let’s head to the dormitory.”

Because final-year students needed quiet to prepare for the college entrance exams, their dormitory block was far away from other dormitories.

Most importantly, the block was close to the library to facilitate independent study.

At this time, the team of four only walked one hundred metres before they reached the dormitory block.

When the four entered, they immediately heard zombie roars and loud scratching.

“There are fifty cubicles on each side of the corridor, and each cubicle houses two students. However, before we deal with the zombies in the cubicles, we first need to kill those in the corridor.” Qin Wu said, and Mo Chenxuan nodded before he continued.

“While killing the zombies in the corridor, close the cubicle doors to prevent sudden ambushes. After clearing the corridor, we will deal with one cubicle at a time. The best way is to lure the zombies to the corridor.”

“I agree. The cubicles aren’t big. It will be dangerous to fight in there.” Qin Wu said, and everyone immediately agreed.

After that, the four stood back-to-back and began clearing the zombies in the corridor.

Simultaneously, they closed the open doors.

When that was done, they returned to the entrance, and Mo Chenxuan opened the first cubicle.

Instantaneously, a zombie came roaring out.

“Rongrong, and I will deal with it.” Xu Fei offered and pulled Lin Rongrong to meet the zombie.

“Be careful.” Qin Wu reminded while rushing to meet the second zombie.

Less than a minute later, Qin Wu killed her opponent and dug out its crystal core.

However, she and Mo Chenxuan didn’t open the next cubicle.

Instead, they entered the first cubicle and began searching for supplies.

Unfortunately, it was almost summer break, and most of the supplies had already been used.

After searching for a long time, the two only found a box of unopened soap, a half-full bottle of juice, and clothes.

“It’s better than nothing.” Qin Wu muttered while collecting the things.

At the same time, Mo Chenxuan threw out the bedding but collected the bunk bed and study table.

When they left the cubicle, Xu Fei and Lin Rongrong had already dealt with their opponent.

In this way, the four cleared the dormitory and collected one hundred and seventy-six crystals.

“This was the boy’s dormitory. Let’s rest for an hour and then head to the girls’.” Mo Chenxuan suggested, and everyone agreed.

After resting and having lunch in the dormitory, the four headed to the girls’ dormitory.

However, just after they began clearing the dormitory, they heard gunshots.

“I heard them this time.” Lin Rongrong said, looking at her teammates.

“They sounded close to here.” Xu Fei frowned.

“Let’s go out and see.” Mo Chenxuan said and led the way out of the female dormitory.

Soon after, the four came face to face with a military convoy.

“Are you students?” A male soldier asked, and Qin Wu almost burst into laughter but forcibly suppressed her amusement.

“We are ordinary survivors who came here for supplies.”

Hearing this, the soldier frowned and looked at his leader.

The leader was an iron-blooded man with a heroic face.

After glancing at them, the leader nodded, and the previous soldier looked at them.

“You can leave after collecting the supplies in that area. Don’t go anywhere else.” He said in a warning tone.

“We understand.” Mo Chenxuan readily agreed.

At first, he wanted to raid the kitchen, store rooms and dining hall.

However, after raiding the first dormitory, he realised there wouldn’t be many supplies in the store rooms.

After all, the school was about to break for a long holiday.

Since there would be no one in the school, why would there be many supplies in the storerooms?

After that, Mo Chenxuan and his three companions returned to the female dormitory and continued their work.

“Mr. Mo, why did you agree to them?” Lin Rongrong asked.

“There is no point in fighting with the military over the remaining supplies. We don’t lack those few things.” Mo Chenxuan answered, and Qin Wu continued.

“Also, I will be exposed if we are too close to the military.” She said.

“I understand.” Lin Rongrong nodded.

The four used three hours to eliminate the zombies in the female dormitory.

By the time they finished, it was already four in the evening.

“Let’s stay here tonight.” Mo Chenxuan suggested, and no one objected.

After all, the roads weren’t what they used to be.

If they insisted on leaving, they would not reach a good resting place until late at night.

Considering that, staying overnight in the academy was the smart thing to do.

“We can take this time to rest and cook more food.” Qin Wu said.

Because they and the military had cleared the surrounding zombies, the night was quiet and deceptively peaceful.

The next day, the two couples woke up at four-thirty.

After freshening up and having breakfast, Qin Wu collected their things and removed their cars from the space.

“Our goal today is this place.” Mo Chenxuan said, pointing at a place on the map.

When the others saw the place, they couldn’t help but be surprised.

Even Qin Wu was a little shocked.
