“There is a tiny blue-black spot on this one.” Xu Fei said, hurriedly turning to check another cherry.

He soon discovered that all the poisonous and inedible cherries had a tiny spot on them.

Although the spot was small and easy to miss, it was undoubtedly there on all the inedible fruits.

“Brother Chenxuan noticed the difference.” Qin Wu said in a proud voice.

“Mr Mo is so powerful.” Lin Rongrong praised, and Xu Fei nodded in agreement.

“What should we do with the poisonous cherries?”

“Keep them.” Qin Wu immediately answered.

“Zombies can’t get poisoned, but mutated beasts and plants can be poisoned. We can use the cherries as a kind of weapon.”

After saying that, Qin Wu carefully separated and collected the cherries.

“We can eat the edible ones when we return to the farmhouse.” She said, and no one disagreed.

Following that, the four looked for and dealt with other mutated plants.

However, after finding the cherries, their luck went south.

Although they found more plants, none of their fruits were edible.

It was not until evening that the four found a mutated peach tree.

The peach tree had twenty-eight fruits, and each was as big as an infant’s head.

Seeing the tree, Mo Chenxuan narrowed his eyes and stopped his team.

“That tree…” Qin Wu frowned with a thoughtful expression.

“How is this possible? It’s only been a few days since the black rain.”

“Qin Wu, what is going on?” Lin Rongrong asked when she saw the two people’s solemn expressions.

“That peach tree has undergone a second mutation. All its fruits are edible, but its strength is not low. It’s approaching level three.”

“We must get these fruits.” Mo Chenxuan said in a firm voice.

“You don’t mean?” He asked.

“It’s not as exaggerated as the myth, but the effect is similar.” Mo Chenxuan smiled, and Xu Fei shuddered.

“Xu Fei, do you know?” Lin Rongrong asked with a curious expression.

“I know.” Xu Fei nodded.

“It’s the peaches of immortality.”

“What? Can such a thing exist?” Lin Rongrong didn’t believe it.

After all, they previously lived in a society of science.

Things like peaches of immortality were fantastical myths that didn’t belong in modern society.

Even if they had entered the apocalypse, the abnormal still retained a trace of logic.

However, the peach of immortality was too illogical.

“Eating one peach won’t make a person immortal. However, it can increase lifespan.” Mo Chenxuan clarified, and Lin Rongrong was somewhat relieved.

After that, Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu walked towards the tree.

However, before they reached it, a transparent pink barrier enveloped it.

“It has such a comprehensive defence.” Qin Wu muttered, removing her sword from her space.

A moment later, she and Mo Chenxuan began attacking the barrier.

Unfortunately, the barrier was sturdier than they expected.

After attacking for more than ten minutes, the two didn’t leave a mark on the barrier.

This was the first time that Mo Chenxuan and Qin Wu attacked together but failed to reach their goal.

“We will also help.” Xu Fei said and also rushed forward.
