Chapter 43: False Advertising
The four returned to the orchard the next morning.

After looking around and finding nothing, they entered their cars and finally left the JR Farm-Stay.

One week later, their convoy of two cars arrived at the gate of DM Produce Inc.

At a glance, the gate was barely hanging on its hinges, and the four couldn’t help but be discouraged.

“Let’s avoid them.”

If the DM Produce company only had one processing plant, Mo Chenxuan and his team would be forced to encounter those people.

However, the company had many processing plants and getting involved was a matter of choice.

Since the four had no reason to interfere in the in-fighting, they avoided the plant and headed to another.

As they walked, they encountered another team.

The team had five men and two women.

At a glance, the seven were energetic and looked physically stronger than ordinary people.

However, it was impossible to discern their abilities from a casual glance.

“Are you guys from the Carefree base?” One of the men asked while looking at the four.

‘Carefree base?’ Qin Wu thought, and her lips unconsciously twitched.

‘What kind of base name is that? Who would dare to live in such a base?’ She wondered, but her face was expressionless.

“We are just passing by. We are not from the Carefree base.” Mo Chenxuan answered.

“Passing by? Where did you come from?”

“We came from town R.” Qin Wu lied.

“You can settle in our Carefree base if you want.” One of the women said.

“Don’t let the name fool you. The base is anything but carefree.” Another said, and a trace of grievance flashed in her eyes.

She originally went to the Carefree base because she wanted to live a relaxed life.

Unexpectedly, the Carefree base was worse than a military camp!

Not only did the survivors need to participate in the construction of the base, but they also had to kill the surrounding zombies and go out to find supplies.

“Our team is heading to the capital. We will visit the Carefree base when we have a chance in the future.”

“The capital? Do you dare to go?” One of the men asked in an incredulous voice.

“The capital had more than twenty-five million people before the apocalypse. That translates to more than twenty million zombies. Additionally, many survivors are heading to the capital, which makes the situation worse. Do you really want to go there?”

Qin Wu sighed with a helpless expression.

“Our families are there. Even if they may not be alive, we still have to go to take a look.”

“You are quite filial.” One of the seven said, looking at the four in admiration.

“We can’t stop you since you are determined to go. However, you must be careful when passing Chenjia village.”

Mo Chenxuan and the others frowned when they heard this.
