Chapter 104: I will kill Gabriel before your eyes
“We were indeed expecting the plumber; however, my mother mistaken the man and he barged into the house,” Lilith said, keeping a friendly tone.
“Oh, I’m glad nothing happened to you,” Ella said, looking at Ms. Valkov.
Throughout the conversation, the talkative old lady maintained her reserved demeanor. Ella did not seem to mind and eventually left, but it was odd to see such caution in her behavior.
The moment Lilith closed the door, her eyes looked at her mother.
Despite the misfortune that befell her mother, Lilith warned her, saying, “Make sure no one finds out about it, mother, or else my entire career will be ruined.”
They were expected to lie to everyone, no matter what, in order to maintain their survival and preserve Lilith’s career.
She confided in her mother regarding the entire situation, flipping up the whole truth that the intruder didn’t harm her.
Lilith did not want the police to get involved because that would cause a commotion.

After arriving at the canteen, Eveline and Alex placed an order for food. As the two relished their lunch together, all eyes were on them.
Alex was cautious about Gabriel invading their moment, but to his surprise, the guy didn’t show up.
“Who are you trying to find?” Eveline questioned, grabbing Alex’s straying gaze.
“Gabriel,” he responded curtly, once again turning his gaze away.
“Tsk, he won’t come,” she said, taking a pause from her food and watching him still for a second before turning his eyes back at her.
“Why?” he asked doubtfully.
“Because he dropped me off and drove to the police station to file a complaint. Someone tripped his car’s brake yesterday, and his driver ended up getting into an accident. The investigation says it was an intentional act caused to harm him and now he wants to find the culprit.”
Alex’s face contorted hearing her words. He didn’t think of the consequences of his actions but now it has caused him stress on how the cops will investigate this matter.
Eveline smirked, watching the pale look on Alex’s face.
The complaint was lodged right after the accident and the investigation too started. However, Gabriel went to hand over the footage they happened to find of the person who damaged his car’s brake.
“Yes, I also heard that Dr. Lilith, the person who exterminated you, had an attack on her mother. It is odd that two Aspen attendees experienced two significant attacks on the same day.”
With his mind racing with concerns, Alex stopped eating.
Even though he might have taken safety measures, he was still afraid of any accidents.
Even though he had advised Lilith not to tell anyone, Gabriel was unstoppable once he realized that he was the intended victim of the accident and not his driver.
To her surprise, Eveline’s plan worked when Alex began displaying signs of panic on his face after she purposefully told him the truth.
“Dr. Lilith is acquainted with you; I was informed by the seniors helping yesterday. Was she the one who gave you the prescription for those drugs?” She enquired.
Alex knew that Eveline knew about his mental state, but she did not coerce him into saying anything. She just consoled him that day when she noticed the pills, making sure he did not feel less than.
However, since she stated that she wants to know everything there is to know about him, is it okay to validate her suspicions?
Alex nodded, even though he was not convinced.
“It would then be your duty to send someone you know to see how she is doing. She must be still terrified after being invaded with the intent to attack.”

“I do not believe it is required. I stopped going to see her a long time ago. We do not really interact that much,” he said, refusing to take her advice.
Though Alex would never go see her, he would make sure Lilith never even opened her mind.
When they were about to leave after finishing their lunch, they noticed some police officers entering the main building.
Alex stopped walking at that very moment, and his eyes went dark with caution as he watched the police pull ahead of them and into the dean’s office.
Gabriel walked with them, and Alex noticed that he looked at him briefly before continuing on with the others.
“Why did the police show up here?” Alex was startled out of his reverie by Eveline’s question.
He was going to freak out, so he quickly excused himself and walked out without saying anything to Eveline.
Alex shot off like a bullet from the gun and was gone from her view, but his disappearance provided her with the necessary gratification.
He continued to walk, hiding from the officers’ sight, in order to escape the main building.
However, as he was leaving the college grounds, he was seized by someone and hauled to a remote location.
Alex swore in frustration, about to rip the hand away, but in the next instant, he felt a firm smack across his face.
SLAP!
He shot his head in the direction of the person, his eyes protruding out of his socket.
“You have no right to try to hurt Gabriel!” Tiffany slapped Alex again, this time grabbing him by the collar.
SLAP!!
She discovered the video that the faculty had uploaded to the college forum in an attempt to identify the person who had attempted to intentionally attack Gabriel the previous day.
It did not take her long to recognize the individual, and she soon went looking for him the next time, only to see him run away when she spotted the police.
Furious, Alex grabbed her hands and pulled them away.
“He dare tried to expose me. He deserves to die!” Alex yelled, startling Tiffany, but she quickly composed herself, lowering her anger, and tried to negotiate.
Gabriel did propose the medical camp, but that does not imply that he was aware of Dr. Lilith or their relationship.
Her status as a doctor among the staff members was entirely coincidental, and it was fortunate for them that she had met her through some of her classmates, which is how she was able to let them know about her in advance.
But she never imagined that Alex would turn on Gabriel, accuse him of being the cause of everything, and make such a heinous attempt on his life.
“Are you out of your mind? Why would Gabriel do that?! She screamed, brushing off his remarks.
“Because it was he who convinced Dr. Lilith to join us!”
Alex’s words silenced Tiffany the very moment she grabbed his arm, asking, “What did you say? Gabriel was the one who approached her.”
Alex growled, his eyes red with anger, as he remembered what the elderly woman had told him about his visit to her home.
He gritted his teeth and replied, “Yes, Gabriel was the one who approached her, asking her to join the camp.”
Tiffany shook her head, rejecting his assertion, as she could not believe what she was hearing.
“No, she has to be lying, and even if he did, why would that imply that he is aware of you?”
“It can just be a coincidence. You can not attack him based just on what she said.” Tiffany attempted to clarify, but Alex did not seem to get it.
He simply could not believe anything about Gabriel.
“Whatever you say, I do not care. I have been annoyed by that boy a lot, and this is the only thing I can do to get him out of Eveline’s life. You failed to seduce him and now he is, after breaking my and Eveline’s friendship. If he doesn’t stop, I will go and kill him myself,” Alex warned.
Gabriel would not be spared, especially now that he had police officers assigned to search his GPS.
It would not take long for them to pursue Alex if he wasn’t extra cautious.
“If you dare lay your fingers on Gabriel, I will go tell him that you were the one who tampered with his car’s brakes,” Tiffany said, giving him a fierce glare in return.
She took a step closer to him and warned, “And trust me, I can do that.”
Regardless of Alex’s assertions, she would not spare him in the event that he placed his fifth hand on Gabriel.
She would reveal his identity in front of the police and imprison him.
With a look of intense anger on his face, Alex extended his hand to seize her neck
He smirked and pressed his palms together until she choked, saying, “You think I will let you go alive to tell the truth?”
“Maybe if you and Gabriel ended your lives together, you could be with him and save Eveline and me from separation.” He gritted his teeth and clamped down on Tiffany’s neck.
Because of the oxygen shortage, her face began to lose its color and her eyes rolled up.
Madness had taken hold of Alex, and he was prepared to strangle her and put an end to this threat right then.
Tiffany slapped his hand and tried to pull and push at it, but the oxygen in her lungs was weakening her, and finally she thudded to the ground.
Cough
Cough
Tiffany hysterically tried to breathe in oxygen while coughing.
“Stay within your limits, Tiffany, or else I will kill you both,” he said, sparing her life once more.
Although Alex had threatened her, he was unable to follow through on his threat. Killing her would put him in even more danger than he was before. Consequently, he finally agreed with her.
She was still breathing heavily when he warned her, “Do not you ever open your mouth before anyone or else I will kill Gabriel before your eyes.”
She felt a chill go down her spine after hearing those words, and she nodded in agreement, watching him walk away the next moment.
