Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 110
Chapter 110: Explicit
Jonathan continued to caress her back, letting her hug him for as long as she wanted.
“I know it was my responsibility to let you know about this agreement between the elders, but trust me, we never saw any flaws in your relationship to object to it. You and Gabriel looked more than perfect in our eyes and didn’t you always tell me that you want to marry a prince who is just like Gabriel?”
Eveline shot her head back, giving Jonathan a perplexed look.
“It was back when I was young, Dad. I simply got influenced by those fairytales, which happened to ruin my mindset to even utter those words. I would rather be alone than marry anyone in this lifetime,” she said, leaving Jonathan in silence.
“Did something happen between you two, which is why you are objecting to the alliance?” he asked, making a mental note of the words she spoke.
Eveline sighed and shook her head before returning to hug him back and saying, ” I simply wish to fulfill my dreams Dad and marriage is something I dream of.”
Jonathan nodded in understanding and said, “But life can’t be lived alone. You will eventually need a companion to carry on with your journey and enjoy it’s bliss.”
Eveline closed her eyes, her thoughts flooding with memories of her past.
“It’s better to be alone than to be with the wrong person, Dad,” she muttered.
Jonathan furrowed upon hearing her words; however, he remained silent, restricting himself from bothering her.
Eveline was simply speaking words that were too sensible for her liking; however, he did believe in what she said.
“Then wait for the right person,” he said, kissing the top of her head.
Eveline didn’t realize for how long she stayed like that before she finally decided to return to her room. As soon as she got in, her phone began to ring.
Looking at the name of the person who tried calling her, she sneered.
“Hello,” she said with the least excited voice before hopping into the bed and laying down.
“You sound upset?” The manly voice said.
Eveline rolled her eyes at the obvious and remarked, “Do you want me to sing then, After all, I received the happiest news of my life.”
Gabriel chuckled at her response and leaned leisurely on the bed.
“Wouldn’t that be too much for a person who is sad.” He said.
“If you know it then why are you rubbing salt to my wound. And if you really called me to test my patience, then hang up because I am not in mood to entertain you,” she said
“I won’t do that, so you can rest assured. I just called to talk with you. Did you drink the tea yet?” Gabriel asked, his legs outstretched and crossed.
Eveline looked at the time and sighed mentally. They had their dinner at Winston House; however, now it was half past ten and she was in no mood to go and prepare an herbal tea for herself.
“I’ll skip it today.” She said, her voice exhausted.
After giving it some thought, Gabriel said, “Mind if I help you?”
With a questioning scowl, Eveline surveyed her surroundings. “Are you really going to sneak into my room at this hour?”
Her expression deepened as Gabriel laughed at her reply, “That is a good idea, though. How about we talk until you fall asleep?” In any case, you do not enjoy hearing from me, so I suppose it could finally help you turn off your mind for a while,” he said.
Eveline considers his words, thinking they might be useful. Although she may detest conversing with him, she feels compelled to give it another go because she remembers dozing off in his company back in the car.
“But what if I am not able to get sleep? Surely it would help you in return,” Eveline countered.
“The choice is yours. I am just trying to help out,” Gabriel shrugged, his smile concealed by the call.

Eveline went quiet for a brief while before allowing it to have a chance.
“All right, go ahead and do as you please,” she replied, and Gabriel’s smile grew.
With her phone pressed up against her ear, Eveline lay on the bed. She was clueless on what Gabriel was going to do, but now she was looking forward to it.
A minute passed and Gabriel didn’t utter a word, making her raise her brow in curiosity.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?” she asked.
“Do you want me to talk?” Gabriel said, pissing her further.
Although Eveline did not want to talk to Gabriel, she forgot that she had agreed to be on call with him to fall asleep, but now the silence was starting to irritate her.
“Just keep talking,” she said out of frustration.
“It is official that you are my betrothal. How are you feeling?” Gabriel asked.
“I feel like jumping off the cliff,” Eveline replied, gritting her teeth and regretting what she had said.
“It’s better to die than to marry you.”
Her reply caused Gabriel’s expression to darken. She was playing with him when she said those things, but he could not see it that way.
“Pay attention to what you say. Refrain from saying such things because your life is now mine,” he warned, making Eveline furrow.
“Who said you owed my life, by the way? I did not consent to it,” Eveline protested.
By bringing up the subject of marriage, Gabriel was attempting to seize her right now, but she wouldn’t make him do that.
She would make sure Gabriel knew that no one could take control of or claim her life.
“You should hang up the phone now since you are going to start talking gibberish. I am not going to give a shit about your words,” Eveline said, ready to end the call, but Gabriel interrupted her.
“Okay, I won’t; just don’t hang up yet,” he said and she paused.
Even though Eveline was over Gabriel, she was unable to say no to his pleas.
“Huh,” she answered, then returned to her spot on the bed.
Choosing to keep his thoughts to himself, Gabriel let out a sigh of relief. Regardless of how much he hates Eveline being normal about her death, it was a big deal for him.
But for the time being, he had to comfort her and assist her in falling asleep.
“You recall giving that romance novel as a gift on my birthday. I happen to read it all.” Gabriel started changing the topic.
Eveline’s frown cleared into an obvious shock.
“You did?” she asked, skeptically.
“Well, you know that it is not just the book I read; I also have the gifts you give me on my birthday every year, like that keychain.”
When her gift from five years ago—a carved wooden box with their initials on it—was brought up, Eveline gasped.
During those years, she started to develop feelings for Gabriel.
Although Eveline was not aware of her feelings for Gabriel, she had always adored him. But it was not until she turned eighteen that she truly understood that she was in love with him and that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. But she was too afraid to tell him.
She therefore made the decision to get that keychain with their initials on it in the hopes that he would acknowledge it as a way to express her feelings for him. But it did not work out, and she was disappointed.
Eveline made every effort to get him to understand how she felt, but he would never listen to her.
“You shouldn’t have kept them. It was foolish of me to present you with those gifts,” Eveline muttered, embarrassed by her previous acts that served to make her appear foolish.
It is impossible for me to discard them. You were the one who gifted those. “They belong to me,” he declared, leaving her speechless.
There were so many aspects of Gabriel that she was blind to. And after all this time, she realized how adept he was at hiding his true feelings. But she wondered what had made him suddenly vocal about it.
“Would you like me to read you that book?” She was startled out of her reverie by his abrupt question.
When Eveline remembered the explicit chapters in that book, her mouth dropped open, knowing that it was wrong of him to read it to her.
Feeling the heat rising up his body, Gabriel bit his lip.
He knew what he said and there was no shame in it. If she dares to give him that book, then she won’t mind him reading it for her.
Gabriel waited for her to speak, but when she remained silent, he assumed that she was okay and hurriedly went to get the book off the side table and started reading it to her.
As he started reading the chapter, Eveline crossed her legs, and his soothing, deep voice came over the phone.
Eveline was transported to Gabriel as he read each sentence, expressing every emotion she had.
Upon reading the explicit part that caused something to happen between her legs, she suddenly released a trembling breath.
