Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 111
Chapter 111: Falling asleep
Gabriel hesitated, his groin constricted by the sound coming from her side. This was how things had always been. She had an impact on him that he could never fully comprehend and that would always make him want more of her.
Gabriel stopped reading for a moment and tried to ignore those thoughts. He was in complete bliss, experiencing everything to the fullest within himself with each word he spoke and the intensity of the feelings coursing through his body and mind.
He visualized himself and Eveline as those characters, engaging in typical couple activities. From expressing their emotions to freely examining who they are without any limitations, it gave him sheer satisfaction.
Gabriel had previously read the book, but this time he was truly understanding the significance of each word.
He was about to speak when he heard a light snore, which caused him to stop. His face was marked by a deep furrow as he realized the significance of the sound, and a weak smile gradually appeared on his lips.
Gabriel shook his head in disbelief, knowing that Eveline had dozed off before he even got to the book’s most erotic section.
“What was he even thinking?” Gabriel asked himself in his head as he closed the book, barely perceiving her slight snore.
He was happy enough with this little permission, even though he really wanted to be there to cuddle her to sleep.
After listening to her for a while, he eventually nodded off to sleep, dreaming of those wonderful times as his mind gradually closed.
Eveline awoke the next morning having had the most restful sleep of her life. She had no signs of fatigue and felt refreshed.
She extended her arms a little for a stretch, only to trip over the phone that was propped up beside her pillow. When she picked it up, her gaze was instantly drawn to the screen and she saw that the call was still in progress.
Eveline forced herself to sit, her eyes protruding from her socket, but the instant she did, she moved the phone closer to her ear.
“Gabriel” she muttered, her voice soft and desperate.
It was the most bizarre thing Eveline had ever seen Gabriel do, and she could not believe he would keep the calling going all night without stopping it.
After a short while, she heard his drowsy voice say, “Good morning, Eve.”
He sounded so good that Eveline’s body began to tingle with heat, and she rolled her eyes, something weird happening to her heart at that very moment.
“What prevented you from ending the call?” she asked, shoving aside all of her transient distractions.
“I expected a thank you, but you did not even greet me,” Eveline grunted in response to Gabriel’s faux disappointment.
“Thank you; now explain to me why you left the phone on while I dozed off.”
“Because I wanted to hear you sleeping”
“…”
Gabriel was aware that it was the most absurd answer anyone could ask for, but it was the reality. He fell asleep after hearing her sleep. They both sort of dozed off while listening to each other.
Thinking that Gabriel had truly gone insane, Eveline ended the call without saying anything more.
“What nonsense was he just spurting in the morning?” she thought to herself as she got out of bed and proceeded to the bathroom.
However, Gabriel chuckled before reclining back on the bed and taking his phone away from his ear. He could not stop thinking about how Eveline gave him the rest he desperately needed for a few days.
Gabriel got out of bed and made his way to the bathroom, feeling rejuvenated. He quickly changed and headed downstairs for the breakfast.

“Gabriel, do you want to discuss anything about the accident?” Richard raised the question he had been keeping to himself since last night.

Belle furrowed looking skeptically between Richard and Gabriel.
“Is there anything more to talk about regarding the accident? Aren’t the cops already looking for the culprit?” she asked.
“Although the police are doing their jobs well, do you not want to know why our son was suddenly singled out until he has not offended anyone?” With a meaningful look, Richard turned to face his wife, who stopped eating and turned to face Gabriel.
“What is your father attempting to say, Gabriel? Whom have you wronged?” She questioned, sounding more serious than before.
Gabriel had already seen this coming, so he decided to speak up without keeping anything from them.
“I just tried to expose someone who offended him and now he is after me,” The moment he said those words, his parents scowled at him in return.
“So you are aware of the person’s identity, but you are withholding it?” With a hint of rage in his voice, Richard questioned.
“We still lack sufficient evidence to establish his guilt, so it is just a doubt. Therefore, I kindly ask that you trust me and allow the police to do their jobs, as I will not allow anything bad to happen to me.” Gabriel’s remarks combined a request for a warning that rendered Richard and Belle incoherent.
Belle and Richard had confidence in their son and knew he wouldn’t lie to them. Taking a moment, they glanced at each other and nodded in agreement.
“You are free to act however you please, but as the owners, it is our responsibility to monitor any collusion within the college. So even if you ask us to stay away that’s impossible” Richard stated.
Gabriel consented to his father allowing him to carry on with his work, but he forbade him from interfering in his investigation.
Having breakfast with his parents, Gabriel then drove to Miller house to pick Eveline.

“You told them about Alex?” Eveline asked, her eyes widened with realization.
“Yes, but without disclosing his name” Gabriel responded.
Eveline pupils diluted as she breath a sighed of relief.
“Why, are you concerned for him” Eveline face contorted and she shot him a piercing stare only to see him chuckle in return.
