Chapter 114: I’ll be careful

Ella shot her head at Stefan as the car squeaked in front of the hospital building and yelled, “I told you there was no need to follow her, but you will not listen.”

Stefan ducked his head to watch Lilith enter the building normally, ignoring Ella’s tirade. If he was correct, Lilith should have been alerting the person to her arrival since he had observed her chatting with someone on her phone when they were inside the elevator.

Stefan averted his gaze from the figure and was about to look up at Ella when an idea struck his mind.

He grinned triumphantly right away and unfastened his seatbelt without delay.

“Just stay here; I will be right back,” Stefan said, and he hurried into the building without waiting for Ella’s response.

Ella continued to watch the entrance where Stefan entered, and fifteen minutes later, he left the building and got into his car.

“Could you please explain what is going on?” Unaware of his peculiar actions, Ella asked.

Stefan looked at her thoughtfully, then took out his phone to show her something.

Ella’s eyes widened at the realization. “This is unexpected,” she said with anxiety.

With a serious expression, Stefan’s eyes peered out the window. Despite his silence, it was clear that he was taken aback.

Things weren’t as easy as they seemed, but they were more messier and shocking than expected.

As they continued to bother, Ella’s phone suddenly began to ring. She looked at the caller’s name and withdrew from her thoughts, whispering, “We have to leave Stefan. Clients are anticipating our arrival.”

With a nod of understanding, Stefan pulled away from his thoughts and started the car before taking off.

Tiffany was waiting for that person to drop the note all day, but to her dismay, that did not happen, and she left the classroom feeling very disappointed.

Even though she knew Alex would assist her, she still wanted to be on guard in case she managed to get a hold of them before he did.

Despite her issues, Tiffany was more interested in finding out what Eveline and Alex were planning and why Eveline would travel to meet him in secret.

Gabriel could not have been unaware of who she was meeting, given how closely he watched her movements.

There was something fishy about them, and no matter how hard she tried to get that thought into Alex’s head, that dumb boy would not listen.

He believed that only Gabriel was at fault, even though Eveline was an angel that he was mistreating.

Tiffany ran into Gracey in the lobby in the process, who gave her a sneer in return.

“Watch where you are going, girl,” She said, which made Tiffany scowl at her impolite comment.

Gracey was so resentful of her that she didn’t mind being arrogant. She honestly thought her to be innocent, but she had used her as a pawn in her game, so now it was her turn to exact revenge.

Tiffany approached Gracey with an arrogant sneer, saying, “This harshness is not appropriate for you. Remember, I may still report your mistreatment to the personnel.”

Gracey smirked, looked straight into her eyes, and murmured, “Are you so satisfied with manipulating them that you want to repeat the same trick?”

Tiffany didn’t expect Gracey to blatantly dispute her, but it was hilarious that she no longer had to fake in front of her.

“How can I prevent folks like you from falling for it so easily? After all, we’re both similar in certain ways.

Gracey’s lips twitched at her statement, and she tightened her jaw with rage.

Tiffany started to leave after silencing Gracey, but she paused at the sound of her voice.

“Just take your things along before they land you in huge trouble.” Tiffany turned with a scowl and pointed to the falling note.

Tiffany’s eyes widened with comprehension, and before Gracey could bend down to pick it up, she grabbed it and placed it into her jeans pocket.

“What is that?” Is this a love letter you composed for Gabriel?” Gracey mocked her pallid face.

Tiffany gave Gracey a scathing stare and turned to leave. She couldn’t imagine Gracey’s gaze would fall on the message, but then she halted, remembering that she had it in her bag, so how did it…

Her eyes widened at the understanding, and she eagerly opened the note to read it.

“Huh? A blank note,” she mumbled, realizing the note was empty.

Despite her caution, Tiffany was terrified that someone would try to stuff the message inside her luggage.

But the question was when and how.

Tiffany stood there, considering her horrible thoughts, while Gracey grinned from a distance before exiting the building.

As soon as she saw Eveline waiting for her, she grinned.

“The look on her face is a pleasure to watch,” Gracey said cheerfully as she stood before her.

When Eveline revealed Tiffany’s role in framing them both, she was determined to support her and seek vengeance.

Tiffany had been the mastermind, but they would make sure she paid the price for wrecking other people’s lives.

Gracey did not mind being looked down upon by others, but she was devastated when her parents lost faith in her. They couldn’t accept that their daughter might do anything ridiculous that would make them look foolish in front of others.

Someone who had always been proud of her now despised her, and it was all because Tiffany revealed the truth to them.

“But you must exercise caution and ensure that no one becomes suspicious of our plan,” Eveline admonished, despite her excitement at hearing Gracey’s words.

“Do not worry. I’ll be careful,” Gracey said.

The two talked for a while until Eveline decided to depart.

They had to be cautious now that Tiffany had requested Alex’s assistance in finding the guy. It was easy to foresee because he was the only one she could trust to find the guy who was threatening her.

Tiffany and Alex had clearly been working together for quite some time, and she was well aware of his situation.

As she entered the car, her phone vibrated and her brow wrinkled in recognition.

She hurriedly tapped the device and read the message, which left her dumbfounded.
