Chapter 120: Best thing that ever happened to me
Eveline flinched at the delicate touch of his finger tracing across her back, sending shivers down her spine.
The feeling was intense, yet it was also affecting her senses.
If she possessed unlimited oxygen, she could have kissed him to her heart’s delight.
Unfortunately, she was human, and in order to survive, she needed to breathe.
Eveline immediately pulled back as her lungs ran out of oxygen.
With their foreheads touching each other, Eveline tried catching deep breaths. The lack of oxygen had caused her entire face to turn red, but she was extremely satisfied that she had relished every minute of it.
Gabriel grazed the tip of their nose and leaned back, staring at her with a deep, profound expression.
He was out of breath, but he didn’t seem bothered about it.
Just when he felt it wasn’t enough and he wanted another dose, he crushed his lips on hers and quickly pinned her to the bed.
Eveline was caught off guard because she didn’t expect Gabriel to go in for another round.
Her hand clutched the helm of his tee, and her lips strained to match his tempo.
Gabriel was demanding again, making it difficult for her to keep up with him.
He was rough and substantial, his body crushing against her and his tongue consuming the soul out her.
It was weird to see Gabriel’s thoughts overtaken by a strong urge to kiss the hell out of her, but he proved his words correct.
She ignored when he stated he was yearning to kiss her, and now she realizes how right he was.
He was kissing her as if his life depended on it, and with it, he wouldn’t be able to return home.
But the words from last night slammed her in the pit of her belly, and her body instantly stilled as she stopped kissing.
Eveline wasn’t sure what she was going to conclude from it. But if Gabriel was having those dreams like her, does that imply he’ll soon learn about his past?
‘No, no, how is that possible!’ she exclaimed mentally before gently pushing Gabriel away from her.
Her actions were unintentional, yet they made Gabriel scowl in response.
He growled, unable to control the intense yearning that was growing up within of him.
With his eyes dangerously focused on her, he inquired, “Why did you stop?”
Everything was going well, with Eveline finally being vulnerable with him in a meaningful sense, so why did she suddenly stop?
Eveline looked away and murmured, “You should leave. My father must be waiting for me downstairs.”
Gabriel grumbled helplessly, placing his forehead on her face and kissing her.
He acknowledges the situation and decided to give up.
“I’ll come and pick you up,” he said, pulling back, and Eveline hummed.
“Okay” she said as she saw Gabriel get out of bed and start dressing.
Because he arrived unexpectedly last night, he had to leave without being noticed.

Once dressed, Gabriel gave Eveline one last look before walking to the window and leaping out.
Since her room was only a floor above, he climbed down via the pipe and swiftly left.
After noticing his vehicle leaving, she went back to her room and began her day.

Meanwhile, inside the moving car, the atmosphere became more tense as Ella refused to look at Stefan, despite his best efforts to distract her.
“How long will you avoid me. It’s not like you farted or anything that makes you embarrassed to face me,” Stefan asked and Ella swiftly glared at him.
Yes, after a passionate kiss last night, Ella was embarrassed for the rest of the night by the abrupt sound of her stomach grumbling. She refuses to leave the bathroom, despite Stefan’s best efforts to coax her.
Ella had an elegant image, with many people praising her, but this was the third time she had embarrassed herself before Stefan.
“Will you stop bothering me and drive fast?” Ella harshly dismissed his words, telling him to focus on the road instead.
She was still a disaster, unable to forget the kiss that had ruined her heart.
She had never considered kissing Stefan, but she did after she failed to resist the temptation.
‘What had gotten into her?’ she kept asking herself, but all she got was a growing longing for him.
Ella couldn’t deny her feelings for Stefan, but she was afraid to acknowledge them because of his illicit affair.
He wasn’t just her boss’s legendary child; he was also two years younger than her. How could she believe he was serious about her when he was wearing a playboy tag?
Stefan, on the other hand, sighs and shakes his head in disappointment. With his eyes fixed on the road, he stretched out to call Eveline, whose call he had missed the night before owing to a battery drain.
As the bell rang, the phone was quickly answered.
“Brother Stefan, where have you been and why aren’t you answering my calls?” Eveline said, her voice anxious.
Ella quickly turned to gaze at the voice, her eyes melting as she heard the affection over the phone.
“Hmm, Eve, I was stuck somewhere and my phone was dead.” He responded, catching a glimpse of Ella’s eyes on him before returning his focus to the road.
Eveline hummed in response before saying, “I’d want to meet you. When will you be free?”
Stefan considered her comments, comprehending the purpose of the meeting, and said, “Let us meet at the college. I’m sure you have something to say; let’s chat about it over a cup of coffee.”
Eveline agreed, and they quickly ended the call.
Ella witnessed Stefan’s tone shift after speaking with Eveline and couldn’t help but ask.
“You adore her a lot, don’t you?”
Stefan’s lips curled into a smile, and he nodded in accord.
“How could I not? She is the best thing that has ever happened to me,” he continued, giving her a profound look that surprised Ella.
“What does that mean?” she inquired, struggling to grasp the meaning of his remarks.
Stefan smiled and shook his head. “Nothing,” he said, leaving her curious.
