Chapter 122: How about we hang out?
Tiffany sent a penetrating gaze at Gracey before scooting to the side to see the professor enter.
Gracey breathed a sigh of relief and sat down, her feet quickly tapping on the note, seizing it while her gaze continued to wander ahead.
Tiffany was annoyed by Gracey’s inappropriate behavior, but she wouldn’t just come to say it.
Eveline on the other hand sighed as she watched Gracey take charge of the situation.
“What happened? Why are you looking there?” Alex muttered, following her line of gaze.
Eveline averted her look and shook her head, saying “Nothing” as she returned her attention to the lesson.

[Lilith’s office]
There hasn’t been a day in which Lilith felt threatened about how things have suddenly turned against her.
But she determined to act appropriately after the frightening encounter with her mother.
It had been several days since the event, and she had been avoiding Henry ever since.
Lilith and Henry had been in a relationship for some years, which is one of the reasons she left her husband.
She liked Henry because he offered her with the most amazing sex she had ever had with her husband.
Being Henry’s mistress came with numerous privileges. Everything changed in the blink of an eye, from a respectable position to a well-known name. He merely wanted to have sex with her in return.
Henry’s family was significant and did not support second marriages, so he requested her to be his mistress and satisfy his demands, to which she consented, but her secret is now jeopardized due of Alex.
She wondered if the boy was aware of it, or why he would suddenly become so harsh to her.
As she continued to sit inside, her phone suddenly chimed, startling her out of her thoughts.
Lilith’s eyes widened as she looked in the direction of the phone, wondering what was waiting for her, but she gradually relaxed when she saw Henry’s name on the screen.
She knew he wasn’t in a good mood because she hadn’t been serving him for a few days.
However, with him constantly reaching out to her, she couldn’t continue to ignore his presence.
She paused for a moment before answering his call again.
“Hello,” she said, and the next moment she heard him exclaim.
Lilith was expecting an eruption, but the words he said shocked her.
“How did my wife found about us?” Lilith gulped in dread as Henry’s furious words rang forth.
They had been keeping their relationship from his family for quite some time, so how did they find out so suddenly?
But her thoughts quickly returned to what she was thinking, and she corrected.
“Henry, I need to meet you. There’s something you should know.”
Lilith had planned to ignore Henry for a while, but when he indirectly blamed her, she had to come clean.
She had to communicate the doubts she had regarding Alex and how he blackmailed her.

[Playground]
“It was a close call. Alex almost caught me.” Gracey trembled at the notion of being spotted by Alex and couldn’t help but feel wary.
Gracey understood how silly she had been to think incoherently about Alex and express it in front of Tiffany.
If she had known they were together, she might have been able to restrain her mouth.
Gracey sighed in disappointment and continued to look at the huge field, capturing the fascinating sight of pupils playing the sport while others simply wandering.
Just when she was about to look away, a ball rolled towards her feet, frightening her on the spot.
Gracey picked up the ball and looked up, only to see Daniel running her way. She immediately recognized him.
Why wouldn’t she? After all, he was Richard Winston’s second son and the third most attractive lad in college.
Winston’s brothers were born with good genes; not only did they have a handsome father, but also a lovely mother who never seemed to age.
“I’m sorry,” his voice jolted her from her thoughts, and she looked at the lad, who smiled at her.
She realized what was happening and passed the ball to him.
“It’s okay,” she replied, returning the smile.
Daniel watched Gracey pick up her bag and, as she was about to depart, turned and threw the ball back to his partner before taking the seat next to her.
“I was leaving?” she asked, perplexed by his seating next to her.
“I understand that’s why I joined you,” Daniel remarked with a shrug.
Gracey had regarded Gabriel as cold and aloof, scarcely glancing at anyone, while Daniel was the opposite. He was a cheerful and outgoing person, so when he sat next to her without notice, she did not feel confined.
“By the way, why are you sitting here alone?” he inquired, breaking off the talk.
“I simply needed an escape, and the playground was the best option to ease your mind,” Gracey explained, returning bag to his original spot.
Daniel nodded in understanding and asked, “And what was the escape that caused you to miss the class?”
Daniel knew Gracey prior to the scandal. Gracey, like Eveline, was a topper, who ranked second in every semester. However, the girl had a reserved personality and rarely made acquaintances.
But, with everything that had happened to Tiffany, he realized she had returned to her anonymity.
Gracey gave Daniel a sideways glance and chuckled.
“I almost got myself caught, so I escaped out of fear and missed the class” she recalled.
Daniel nodded in understanding and said, “How about we hang out? Even I am famished from this nonstop practice and need a break.”
Gracey was astonished, but when she saw the serious look in his eyes, she nodded.
God knows what had gotten into her to suddenly decide to skip class and hang out with none other than Daniel Winston, but she did it anyway.
Daniel grinned and asked her to wait a bit. He swiftly returned to his friends and discussed something before making his way back to her, and they soon left.
