Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 124
Chapter 124: Let’s end this
Gracey diverted her attention from Daniel and looked down. She continued to reflect on her behavior for a while, wondering if she was actually envious of Eveline.
She had always felt inferior to her because she consistently ranked higher on the charts, or perhaps because of the attention she received from the staff.
Yes, she was the owner’s daughter, but it made her feel as if she came with a lot of privileges, to the point that everyone began looking at her differently.
She was not only attractive, but also intelligent. But that wasn’t anything she despised about herself.
So, what made me envy her?
Gracey had no words to respond, but if he asked her how she felt right now, she might be able to tell him.
Daniel could be annoying at times, but he was an intelligent person who could read anyone’s emotions. It was just that he didn’t want to brag about it.
“I know you’ve never hated her. It was only a moment that compelled you to behave against your will. But I’m sure you regretted it, am I correct? He asked, and she nodded without hesitation.
“She had always been kind, but I chose to ignore that and did what I did. But now-” she sighed, straightening her back and saying, “I don’t feel that way. I realized how stupid I had been to even think negatively about her.”
Daniel smiled when he heard her, darting his glance to the vacant swings.
“Do you want to swing?” He inquired, directing her attention to the two vacant swings and then to Daniel, who was already going towards them.
Gracey wasn’t sure what to say, but she followed him.
“They will think we are strange,” Gracey mumbled, gazing around.
“Allow them. When was anyone rational enough to pass up such a terrific opportunity?” he said, and she grinned, agreeing with him.
The two kept swinging, soaking in the happiness that came with the intensity.
Gracey realized she had virtually forgotten about the concerns that had previously preoccupied her.
She had admitted that Daniel had an unusual way of making people feel at ease, but she enjoyed it.
“Daniel, have you tried cotton candy?” Gracey inquired, pointing to the man selling them at the entryway.
When he shook his head, she immediately stopped and dragged him down from the swing to the seller.
“Then have one,” she urged as they approached the vendor and requested two cotton candies.
While the two were enjoying the sweetness of the candy, Daniel’s gaze went to the opposite side of the road, and his brow furrowed.
He quickly recognized Lilith, but his gaze shifted to the man who went inside with her in the restaurant,.
Daniel went into serious contemplation as she tried to remember the individual, but he couldn’t recognize him.
“What happened?” Why don’t you eat? Gracey interrupted Daniel’s thoughts, and he turned to look at her in a trance.
“Hn, no, it’s nothing,” he said, and they strolled away, still enjoying the sweets.
Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, Lilith approached the VIP booth, where Henry was already waiting for her.
His eyes were filled with rage from the moment he saw her.
“How dare you send our photos to my wife!” Henry snapped as he lost control.
Lilith flinched at his scream and shook her head in confusion.

“Why would I do that, Henry?” Lilith reasoned as she took the seat in front of him.
She couldn’t see why Henry would blame her for something she wouldn’t risk, especially when it included her.
“Then how did she learn about us? You know what she did; she revealed it to my mother, who is now threatening to confront me,” he inquired, unable to calm down.
Henry had always been a nice husband, despite having a covert romance with Lilith. Yes, he favored his family over his own wants outside of the sacred connection because he knew it would make him appear good in public.
Men from the Howard family were not allowed to marry twice, but they did have extramarital affairs that they kept hidden from the outside world.
Jenny had always doubted her husband’s infertility and tried to question him several times, but he would simply brush her off and go away.
She even confronted him about his affair with his mother, the head of the Howard family, and warned him about it since she did not want to lose face outside or discuss it with her paternal side. But now that Jenny’s suspicions had been proven, he had to confront a family member who would try to blackmail him with the shares they owned in his company.
“I swear, Henry, I never sent those photos to Jenny,” Lilith urged him to trust her.
Henry gave her a filthy look and stated, “I have seen those photos with my eyes Lilith and the name of the person who sent them.”
Lilith’s eyes widen in shock. How could she send such images to Jenny when she hasn’t even spoken to her?
Something hit her mind, and she hastily peered into her phone, only to see that her soul had been sucked out.
“How is this possible?” she murmured, unable to believe her eyes.
She did, indeed, send Jenny those images. But how is this possible?
“Henry, something’s wrong? Believe me, I did not send those photos. In fact, I’m here to tell you something vital.” Lilith attempted to speak, but Henry ignored her appeal and rose.
“Let’s end this Lilith.” he said, turning on his heels and walking out of the room, leaving Lilith alone.
While everything was going on, Daniel and Gracey were surreptitiously listening in on the couple’s chat and quickly hiding in seclusion when they heard an approaching footstep.
They watched Henry exit the room as Lilith remained inside.
“Why are we stalking them? Who are those people, and why do you have to listen to their private conversations?” Gracey asked, darting wide-eyed glances at Daniel, who was still concentrated on the receding back of the man they heard screaming inside.
“That man is none other than Henry Howard, and he is Alex’s father.” Daniel’s revelations left Gracey stunned, ultimately confirming her suspicions about Dr. Lilith and his affair.
