Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 128
Chapter 128: No going back
Lilith was spared death, but her face was severely damaged by cuts that diminished her beauty in an instant.
She wanted to teach that jerk a lesson, but she could not risk her life again; otherwise, he would not pierce her face this time, but her entire body
“Ma’am, the bleeding is too severe. Should we go to the hospital?” the assistant inquired, noting how hard Lilith was trying to stop the bleeding, but no matter what she did, it would not stop.
“Shut up and do what you are told,” Lilith reprimanded the young girl, and she immediately stopped speaking while continuing to assist her inside her office.
Once Lilith was certain that the bleeding had stopped, she attempted to apply an ointment and a bandage to conceal the cut from the public’s view.
“Do not take any appointments without consulting me,” she warned, and the girl agreed.
“Now go get me some ice,” she said, and the girl hurriedly left the office.
As soon as the door shut, the girl breathed a sigh of relief and quickly took out her phone, typing something on it before pressing the send button.

Ella continued staring at the man, who was busy looking at his phone, as her fingers flew over the keyboard.
She would feel the urgent impulse to smooch him everytime he chewed his lips in front of her.
She felt like a slut for even thinking about him in that manner, but she was a woman with libido after all.
This guy occurred to be the cause of her hormones kicking in, and she began having filthy ideas about him.
“Ahem-hem,” she indicated, clearing her throat as she noticed the veins on his palm while he was on the phone.
Stefan had rolled his sleeves up to his elbow, displaying his tone arm before her, and she couldn’t stop herself from swooning.
“I’ll get coffee for myself; do you want it too?” she inquired, hoping he would spare a glance at her.
Stefan, who had heard her, hummed in response, dashed Ella’s hopes with his ignorance, and she stormed out of the cabin without delay.
Stefan looked up and smirked as the door closed. He had purposefully ignored Ella after she refused to properly communicate with him in the car.
He wondered if it was because of the kiss, but she gave in, so he was not to blame.
It was uncommon for Ella to ignore him, so he decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.
Stefan was certain Ella liked him after everything they had gone through, but she remained cautious owing to her past. But he will make sure that she understands that everything he said is not a joke and that he genuinely wants to offer them the opportunity to learn the extent of his attraction to her.
His phone buzzed with a message, causing a brief distraction. His eyes immediately shifted to the screen, where he read the text and responded.
Meanwhile, Ella was furious as she stood in front of the coffee machine. She could not get her thoughts straight enough to let go of Stefan’s rude behavior earlier.
“What does he think of himself; I will go and beg him to speak with me. I am not going to do that! And he dared to ignore me in favor of that phone. I will go and break it in front of his eyes,” she yelled angrily.
Ella had no idea why his ignorance was bothering her when she herself decided to put distance between them.
Despite being at fault, she continued to blame Stefan for not paying attention to her, which eventually led to her becoming upset.
Ella was so angry that she did not notice her coffee cup was overflowing, and before she could react, it had spilled on her fingers, causing her to yelp in pain.
“Where the hell is your attention?” Stefan yelled, yanking her back before she spilled the entire coffee on herself and reached to turn off the machine.

Stefan dragged Ella inside the resting room and forced her to sit on the couch while she continued to hiss in pain.
Her fingers trembled and tears streamed down her cheeks as she felt the burning sensation on them.
Stefan quickly retrieved the ice pack and placed it on her hand before taking the seat next to her.
“Ella, why are you so careless? Is this how you are going to protect yourself, by getting distracted for no reason?” Stefan was enraged by the redness on her skin and scolded her, ignoring the tears that were streaming down her cheeks.
“Is it all because of you? If you had not ignored me, I would not have been preoccupied with your thoughts and ended up hurting myself,” she yelled angrily, shooting her red eyes at him.
Stefan scoffed before giving her a disbelieving expression.
“Why should my ignorance concern you. Stefan said, “You were the one who drew the line, and now you are the one who is bothered.” He continued to help her.
Ella’s eyes softened as she heard his hurtful words and sniffed, wiping away tears with her vacant hand.
She kept her gaze fixed on him, not saying anything.
Ella was moved by how carefully he had assisted her, and the anger she felt earlier vanished.
Once the swelling had subsided, he opened the first aid kite and applied the ointment to her fingers, slowly blowing on it.
Ella’s lips curled and a smile spread across her face. Her tears had dried up a long time ago, and now her eyes gleam with delight.
Just as she saw him finish up, she crawled onto his lap and snaked her arm around his neck.
Stefan was taken aback by her bold move, but he remained silent and stared at her in return.
“Listen, if you are going to give me the cold shoulder after taking advantage of me, let me warn you now, do not go ahead, and let us stop here,” Stefan warned, his gaze firm and serious.
Ella blinked at his cold eyes, then lowered her gaze to his lips. She gulped before turning her attention back to his face and saying,
“I won’t,” she replied, keeping her words brief but firm.
Stefan’s brow furrowed as he was still not convinced, and he tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her closer until their chests brushed.
“I swear there is no going back after this, El, because I will not allow you to dismiss it as a mistake,” he said, bringing his face dangerously close to her.
Ella’s heart was pounding inside her chest as his words hit her right in the gut, making it difficult to breathe.
Despite her attraction to him, she denied her feelings. But knowing how she would not be able to stay away from him when he had already gotten her falling on her knees, she decided to give it a try.
She wanted to be with Stefan despite not knowing where this relationship would go or how long he would find her attractive or worthy of love.
“Promise me you will not ignore me and come for me like you always do,” she said, pulling her face away.
Her eyes were questioning, and he agreed without hesitation.
“I promise not to ignore you, and there is no way I can stay away from you so you do not have to keep looking for me because I will always be with you,” he said, putting a smile on her face.
A moment of silence follwed the two before Ella lost the patience and sealed his lips.
She was dying to taste him but was too proud to take a chance.
Meanwhile, Stefan continued to give in to her sloppy yet needy kiss, which conveyed an unending longing.
It was real and fresh, and everything he had felt before had been washed away, leaving only him to satisfy her.
“El, we are in the office,” Stefan muttered between kisses.
Though he was on the verge of losing control, he still wanted to remind her of where they were currently stuck, but she did not pay any attention and continued to kiss him eagerly.
Ella seemed to enjoy the way her body reacted to the kiss, as she felt goosebumps crawl across her skin.
She felt fireworks in her stomach and became desperate, as if her life depended on it.
Stefan recognized her desperation and allowed her to do whatever she wanted. From nibbling to sucking his lips, everything felt so raw and new that he began to enjoy her sloppiness.
His hands slowly released her waist and moved up to her chest, gently squeezing her breast.
“Um, Stefan”
The sound of her breathless voice sparked a fire within him, and in the next second, he flipped her onto the couch and hovered her.
Ella’s eyes widened, and she saw him press his lips against hers.
Her hand gripped the helm of his shirt as she attempted to match his pace.
Stefan was so demanding and overpowering that she felt deprived. However, this didn’t slow the burning desire that accompanied the overwhelming sensation.
