He wasn’t used to being the center of attention, but seeing them chatting to one other while keeping their gaze fixed on him made him nervous.

Ignoring their attention, Alex made his way up to the classroom, but before he could enter, he encountered Tiffany, who purposefully blocked his path.

She glanced at him anxiously, causing him to frown, and he yelled, “Get away, Tiffany.

I’m in no mood to hear you.” Alex already had a difficult time convincing his mother that everything was alright with him and now he was in no mood to entertain her.

Jenny refused to listen to him after what occurred last night and insisted that he see the therapist instead.

She was concerned that his condition had reached its limit and that he needed to be treated.

However, he refused to listen to her, urging her to believe his word.

“Alex, you need to see this,” Tiffany murmured, ignoring his warning by putting the smartphone screen in front of his eyes.

Alex’s expression darkened as he saw the post about his father’s indiscretions appear on the student forum.

He grabbed the phone from her grasp and read the caption, which described his affair and how his parents had been pretending to be in love in public.

His hand tightened, and his blood rose in wrath.

“Who did this,” he exclaimed, aiming his bloodshot eyes at Tiffany, causing her to shudder.

“I’m not sure, but the post arrived just a few minutes before you arrived.

Look at the timestamp,” she said, pointing to the screen and glancing at his reaction.

She could tell something was off with Alex today.

Alex had always been in control of his emotions.

But the news about his parents caused him to lose his composure.

She wondered if the photographs circulating about his father were accurate and that he was having an affair.

“Alex, who is this woman and are these pictures real?” Tiffany inquired out of curiosity, only to find pinned to the wall next to her.

Tiffany’s eyes widened with surprise as she watched him push the phone back into her hand and walk away.

It took some time to recover from the impact as she continued to watch him leave before he vanished from her sight.

Her lips quivered with the knowledge, and her expression shifted from stunned to unbelievable.

Alex kept walking furiously, disregarding the students who observed him as he exited the main building.

His mind was racing with the possibility of how the photographs got leaked and how that individual dared to publish them on the student forum, making him ashamed to even lift his head.

As he continued walking, his phone rang, abruptly stopping him.

He wanted to find out who was causing the uproar, but when he looked at his phone screen, his demeanor darkened.

“Hello,” he murmured, clenching his teeth in rage and keeping his gaze fixed ahead.

Alex’s chest was overflowing with rage, and he wanted to let it out on someone, but the words he heard next on the phone fueled it tenfold.

“Just wait for me to get there, and I’ll show you how it feels to provoke me,” Alex said before hanging up the phone and heading towards the playground area.

As he approached, the air became thicker, and he noticed Gabriel standing in the distance.

His face was filled with scorn as he stood there confronting him, his hand in his pocket.

“How did you like my surprise?” Gabriel asked, his gaze lingering playfully on Alex’s somber face.

“How dare you do that to me?” Alex mumbled, gritting his teeth as he dangerously approached Gabriel.

“And why wouldn’t I after you nearly killed me?” Gabriel asked, keeping his gaze fixed on Alex as he stood before him.

Alex squeezed his hand, feeling the blood coursing through his veins.

His eyes filled with contempt as he watched Gabriel taunt him for his distress.

Alex was no longer surprised when Gabriel revealed that he knew about his plan to assassinate him.

He was so certain in his ability to expose him that he had no intention of having him murdered in that vehicle accident.

“You were fortunate that day, but you won’t be anymore.

Alex said, “I will make sure to complete my task that I failed to do that day,” to which Gabriel responded with a sneer.

“Is that so, and how?

Do you think there is any way for you to do so?

No, Alex, because a coward like you who likes to attack from behind isn’t worth giving a crap.” Gabriel angered Alex by pulling the right chord, reigniting his blazing fury tenfold.

Alex was losing his wit as Gabriel continued to insult him.

If he had slain him a long time ago, he wouldn’t have had the courage to stand before him.

Though it was late, it was never too late to carry out his plan to eliminate this individual.

Keeping his gaze fixed on Gabriel, he gently reached into his pocket and drew out a cutter, quickly slashing his arm.

“Ah!” Gabriel snarled in anguish, faltering a few steps behind and gripping his injured arm.

However, before he could regain his composure, Alex struck again, and this time Gabriel dodged.

“You’ve been causing issues since the beginning.

If I had known it was easier for me to kill you, I would not have humiliated Eveline in front of the entire institution.” Alex spoke, his eyes sinisterly glaring at Gabriel, who mumbled in response.

He recognized long ago that Eveline had been innocent, and he was too ignorant to blame her.

But not anymore; knowing how people like Alex and Tiffany tried to ruin his relationship with Eveline, he’d make sure they paid the price.

“I thought by creating misunderstanding between you two she will finally give up her love for you and see that finally happened.

She hates you and wants to be with me,” Alex mocked, his lips curling with a sinister grin.

“You can never have Eveline; she is mine and always will be,” Gabriel remarked with a wry smirk on his face.

Alex strengthened his grasp on the cutter before sprinting towards him to stab him in the stomach.

“ALEX STOP!!!” His hand came to a standstill with the tip of the cutter just in front of Gabriel’s stomach, and he shot his head in the direction of the girl who called him.

“Eveline,” he whispered, his expression quickly shifting from rage to uncertainty, but then something snapped, and his eyes darkened once again.

“Alex, you are under arrest.

The man in uniform said, “Please drop the cutter and surrender to the police.” Alex felt betrayed when he saw Eveline standing with the cops, and his thoughts were inundated with Tiffany’s remarks, which repeatedly cautioned him about Eveline messing with his emotions.

“I should have believed,” he said, giving Eveline a harsh glance that made her quiver.
