Her expression said it all: she was completely shocked.

Neglect was not the sole choice.

However, what was he meant to accomplish while he was still struggling with his own emotions?

Eveline was correct in scolding him because he had done wrong.

His actions had truly hurt her, which is why she closed the door of her heart to him.

However, he refused to give up and continued to attempt.

“I apologize,” he mumbled, his eyes downcast with sadness.

Eveline’s eyes glistened with unshed tears, and she took a trembling breath.

“Your apology won’t change anything, Gabriel, because the damage had already been done, and no matter how hard you try to heal it, it will only get worse,” she said as she abruptly turned on her heels and stormed out of his room, leaving no room for discussion.

Eveline quickened her pace and went downstairs, where she saw her father and hurriedly returned to him.

“Dad, I don’t feel good, can we please go home” Eveline tried to sound natural, but she couldn’t hide her tears from him, and he rose up fast.

“Eve, what has happened?

Is everything okay?” Jonathan inquired, taking note of her tearful gaze.

Everyone was frightened by Jonathan’s statements, and Belle swiftly grabbed her to check what was wrong.

“Eve, are you not feeling well or did Gabriel do anything?” She queried, knowing she had spent all of her time with Gabriel.

She assumed the kids wanted to spend time alone, so they agreed to his request to take Eveline with him, but she now questioned everything went well between them.

The startling discovery that their children were dating astonished them, but it also relieved them of the pressure of exposing the specifics of their planned marriage.

But now they couldn’t help but worry if Eveline really wanted it.

Eveline faked a smile and shook her head, denying Belle’s worried words to rest and said, “No, Aunt Belle, the event from today struck me, and I just need rest.” Belle furrowed her brow as she heard her remarks, but instead of questioning her further, she opted to trust in her for the time being and do whatever she desired.

“Okay,” she murmured, turning to gaze at Jonathan intently.

Jonathan did not waste any time and returned home with Eveline after saying farewell to everyone.

“Are you sure she was okay?” Nancy inquired, her gaze shifting to the remaining three.

Marcus, who noted the twisted look on Eveline’s face, concluded that she was not feeling well.

“My daughter must have endured greatly, and she does need to recover from everything.

So it’s best if she rests,” he explained.

Meanwhile, inside Gabriel’s room, the boy stood on the balcony, watching the car drive away from their residence.

His heart constricted as he remembered Eveline’s remarks, which continued to cut him like a knife, making him understand his idiocy in hurting her in that way.

As the car vanished from his view, he took out his phone and contacted Stefan.

The ringing continued for some time before being answered.

“Let us have a drink,” he said, hanging up the phone the next second.

Stefan, on the other end of the phone, was perplexed when he suddenly heard a lovely voice breaking him from the trance.

“What happened?

Aren’t we going to continue?” Ella inquired, giving Stefan a furious look as he abruptly pulled away from the kiss to answer the phone.

However, after it ended, he stayed sat like a struck statue.

Stefan attempted a smile, plainly signaling his hesitancy, which prompted Ella to push him away and stand up.

“Babe, I think there’s an emergency.

So I suppose I should leave,” he remarked, following her suite as she exited the room and headed towards the kitchen.

“And who needs you right now?” she inquired, plainly not surprised by his statements.

“Gabriel, he didn’t sounded normal” Ella paused and turned to face Stefan, who had used the opportunity to approach her.
