Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 165
Chapter 165: She is crazy about you Chapter 165: She is crazy about you Gabriel was about to call Eveline, when his phone vibrated with a text message from Tiffany.
His eyes narrowed as he noticed her message again, and just as he was going to ignore it like usual, she called him.
Gabriel disliked the fact that Tiffany was always speaking on Eveline’s behalf rather than allowing her to speak for herself.
Her insistence on speaking with him whenever they crossed paths bothered him because he never felt close enough to her to even engage, preferring to greet each other instead.
But every time she saw him, she would tell him about Eveline in a way that piqued his attention until she finished.
It was like a report she would give to him regarding Eveline.
Despite not knowing her very well, he had to be kind to her because she was Eveline’s friend.
The phone continued ringing, distracting him from his thoughts, so he answered it quickly.
“Hi, Gabriel.
I hope I did not bother you.” Tiffany’s lovely voice came over the phone, and he hummed in return.
Gabriel had only ever spoken with one girl, Eveline, but with her silence and lack of communication, he began to hear about her from people who had spoken with her.
“Why did you call?” he asked in a straightforward tone, hoping to maintain distance between them.
Tiffany pondered for a bit.
There was no need for her to call him at this hour, but now that he had responded after so many failed attempts to speak with him, she decided to use Eveline’s name to continue the conversation as usual.
“I understand it is not my place to speak, but please forgive Eveline.
I know I’ve told you a thousand times that it wasn’t her fault, but your ignorance isn’t helping her either.” She said this while maintaining an innocent demeanor that would fool anyone.
When Gabriel didn’t say anything, she continued her play, saying, “She sincerely likes you and will go to any length to have you.
She may not admit it, but she is crazy you, Gabriel.” Gabriel’s brow wrinkled as he heard Tiffany speak.
The way she depicted Eveline in front of him made him distrust her intentions.
“I know what she truly is; you don’t have to tell it to me.” His words were like a razor slicing through her artificial facade, and she stumbled over her words.
“I didn’t mean to slander her in front of you.
I am only saying that she loves you more than anything in this world and will not let you fall from her grasp.” Gabriel’s eyes hardened at her words, casting uncertainty in his thoughts before deciding to end the conversation.
“If that’s all you have to say, goodbye,” he said before hanging up the phone, leaving Tiffany adrift.
A smile formed at the corner of her lips as she strode triumphantly to her bed and sank down.
“I know you won’t believe me now, but you will soon, and that day your hatred for Eveline will burn the bridge of reconciliation between you two,” she said, an evil smirk playing on her lips.
**** The next morning, Eveline arrived at college and found Gabriel waiting for her outside his car.
When their gazes united, she noticed him approaching her.
It had been months since she had seen him this close or merely walk towards her himself, but now that they were facing each other, she couldn’t help but feel her heart race.
“H-Hi Gabriel,” she hesitated a little, finding it unusual to speak to him this way after so long.
Gabriel, on the other hand, saw how vulnerable she appeared, her eyes dimming but shining brightly at the sight of him, making his heart skip a beat.

Gabriel had been thinking Tiffany’s words all night, but he really wanted to talk to Eveline about her father’s concern.
So he ignored Tiffany’s words and instead got straight to his topic.
“How are your studies going?
I heard your grades are dropping,” he inquired, starting a conversation.
Gabriel had never been good with words, let alone speaking gently to a girl he had known for years.
But Eveline was simply another girl, so he understood how to communicate with her out of habit.
Eveline bit her lip, finding his gaze far too strong to continue staring back at him.
But she was relieved that he had finally spoken up with her, putting her mind at rest.
“I’ll study hard, Gabriel.
You don’t have to worry.
I’ll make sure to top it again,” she said proudly and loudly, a smile spreading across her lips that washed away their uneasiness.
Gabriel felt as if life had come back to him.
However, Tiffany’s remarks muddled his thoughts once again.
He had a propensity of overthinking things and not discussing them.
So he chose to ask her instead.
“Eve, I-” “Eveline, what are you doing here?
We need to rush to the meeting hall for the discussion,” Tiffany interrupted their discourse.
She smiled at Gabriel before looking at Eveline, who gave her a shocked look.
She was indeed expected to meet with the team members to discuss the farewell party.
“Um, Gabriel, I need to go,” she said, despite not wanting to leave him.
“Yes, Gabriel, we are already late, so please excuse us, okay,” she added, dragging Eveline away without waiting for his response.
“Did you two start talking?” Tiffany enquired once they were far away from Gabriel.
Eveline nodded, blushing with nervousness.
She looked like a teenage girl whose crush finally decided to talk with her after a long break.
Tiffany’s eyes sparked with a glint of darkness as she watched her blush, and she clenched her teeth furiously.
“When?” She inquired, her tone remote, prompting Eveline to peek at her.
Her expression immediately altered, and she grinned back at her, leaving Eveline confused.
“I mean, since when?
And did you tell him how horrible you’d been because of his ignorance?
Tiffany asked, wiping away her bewildered expression and Eveline shook her head.
“Gabriel approached me just now, and I couldn’t tell him anything.
It felt surreal to see Gabriel standing before me after such a long time.” her dreamy voice made Tiffany’s blood boil, however she continued to stare at her with a fake smile.
“That’s a positive sign.
Now there will be no problems between you two,” she remarked with a lack of empathy in her remarks, which Eveline overlooked due to her happiness.
Tiffany’s malicious intentions were never obvious to Eveline because she veiled them with such brilliance that she only saw her as a well-wisher and savior.
Eveline was too naive to realize someone’s genuine intentions because she was raised with tremendous care and compassion by her father, uncles, and aunts.
Stefan, Gabriel, and Daniel even treated her to ensure she didn’t feel left out, which changed her perspective on things.
So, when she was attacked, Tiffany turned out to be the one who saved her, and she was immediately regarded as a wonderful person who was willing to risk her life for her.
Little did she know, she had plans to destroy her.
As they approached the activity room, Eveline came across someone who took a short peek at her before going away.
A frown marred her face as she attempted to look beyond the individual, but he was too quick to escape before she could see his face.
