Chapter 169: Confront Chapter 169: Confront Gabriel had just entered his office from a stressful meeting when his assistant walked in to inform him of Eveline’s tenacity in contacting him.

It was strange to see her looking for his assistant’s phone number to contact him, but he nodded and contacted her back right away.

The phone rang twice, and she answered it as if she waiting for him to call back.

He hadn’t spoken to her in a long time, but he knew she wanted to say something, so he waited for her.

“I am sorry for disturbing you in between your busy schedules but I will be quick,so please don’t get upset” Gabriel’s eyes softened when he heard her voice again after such a long time.

The last time he heard from her, she had come up with evidence but failed to prove it because it was snatched away out of nowhere.

After that, he didn’t hear her say anything to him since he told her to give up and not waste his time.

Gabriel couldn’t help but feel a twinge in his heart as he remembered his words and noticed the tiredness in her voice, indicating that she had been sobbing.
