Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 172
Chapter 172: Will you always love me?
Chapter 172: Will you always love me?
Eveline stayed still in his arms.
His breath brushed over her skin as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
“You scared me, Gabriel,” she said as his lips brushed against her and he paused.
Sensing his uncertainty, she inquired, “What happened to you suddenly and how did you-” “I remembered everything, Eve.” His comments were like a bucket of cold water thrown in her face, and she stared at him in bewilderment.
Gabriel knew why she hesitated to love him again.
He suddenly grasped the significance behind her perplexing remarks.
After everything she had to go through in her previous life, Eveline wasn’t incorrect in her position to never expose her heart to him.
Nor would it explain his incompetence in concealing information from his wife.
The only thing Gabriel did wrong was wait for the perfect moment to tell her how he felt, but by then he had already lost her and that moment had never come.
“I understand why you are afraid of loving me, Eve,” he continued, his voice filled with regret and tears glistening in his eyes.
Gabriel couldn’t get over the sight of her tumbling from the balcony, her body limp in his arm as she struggled to keep up with her life, which was slowly departing her body.
He could not forget the agony he caused her via his negligence and apathy, so she decided to leave him right away.
He’d begged her not to divorce him, but how could he bring her back to life?
He wasn’t God, but he was delighted he was given the opportunity to make apologies; but how?
Eveline’s eyes fluttered as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, quietly begging her.
“I love you, Eve, more than anything in the world.
So, please, do not push me; I will not survive.” Gabriel was prepared to rub his rose on her feet and beg her ceaselessly until she found the strength to forgive him for everything she had gone through because of him.
He couldn’t comprehend her back then, but now he does, and he’s willing to go to any length to show her how important she is to him.
He would give her the entire world if she asked for it, and he would love her as no one had ever loved her before.
She would be the sole girl in his heart and every other existence they created because he could not let her slip from his grasp now that he had been punished with the cruelest fate.
Eveline’s lips quivered, and her eyes welled with tears.
Every word Gabriel uttered was like a tune that made you want to listen.
The dream of having him by her side, of having him love her as much as she loved him, was finally coming true.
Eveline had long given up on them, but his efforts were gradually destroying that massive wall surrounding her heart, revealing the depth of his affections for her, which stretched deeper than the ocean.
And she was now prepared to dive in again, this time with the purpose of never getting lost in the process.
“Will you always love me?” she asked, and he gazed up at her, teary-eyed.
“Always,” he said without hesitation.
A smile spread across her lips, and she cupped his cheek.

Her gaze met the determination in his eyes, and she leaned forward to kiss him.
Now there was no turning back; she was committed to loving him with everything she had, no matter what.
As their kiss deepened, Eveline lost herself.
Yes, she had always craved him, but when she finally confronted her emotions, she couldn’t hold back.
She wanted him so much that she didn’t mind that they were making out inside the hospital.
“Hmm, Eve, not here,” Gabriel paused, softly pulling her away.
Eveline gave him a serious look, her chest heaving up and down from the power of the kiss.
Gabriel twisted his lips with amusement as he noticed the searing passion in her gaze.
“We’re in the hospital,” he replied, touching her face.
“So what?
You’ve never hesitated to kiss me before, so why now?” She snapped in anger and shoved him away angrily, to which he grinned.
Gabriel couldn’t help but be delighted that she was back to being herself.
He liked her when she argued with him and he admired her, enthusiastically accepting all of her remarks.
“It’s not the kiss, but I’m dying to do so many things with you Eve, but first we both need to recover and return home,” Gabriel said with a teasing smile on his face.
Eveline gave him a thoughtful glare before nodding in agreement.
She then returned to sleep, with Gabriel wrapping his arm around her once more.
“I thought we lost the chance of exposing Tiffany, but gladly the recording didn’t get destroyed.” she groaned.
“We almost did; be glad that Stefan was able to retrieve it and they were able to hand the proof to the cops.” She gave him a bewildered look.
Gabriel discovered that Daniel was able to arrive on time with assistance after telling him about Eveline.
He had a horrible feeling, so he arrived prepared, and they managed to get them out of the pool in time.
“You knew she would try to run away, which is why you took Susan by your side?” he inquired.
Eveline contemplated his remarks, recalling how she faced Susan about Tiffany.
She requested a favor, and she eagerly agreed without hesitation.
‘Ask me anything,’ she said, before telling her what was on her mind.
Eveline questioned whether things would go as planned, but happily, she was able to make it.
“I trusted my instincts, and she gladly agreed,” she added, letting out a sigh of relief.
Eveline will be eternally grateful to her for demonstrating her reliability.
“I would like to speak with Tiffany,” she said, causing Gabriel to furrow “I am sure she won’t be able to handle her defeat yet, not when her mother is involved in her execution.” A sparkle of wickedness washed through her eyes as she waited for the day to come when she would confront her again, this time crushing her confident right in her face.
