Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 192
Chapter 192: So they do have a family Chapter 192: So they do have a family [Priscilla and Max Place] After a passionate encounter, Priscilla fell asleep, while Max remained awake.
He couldn’t get his thoughts straight because he had recently imagined Ella in Priscilla’s place while meeting his wants.
He expected to get over her eventually, but her smiling face refused to leave his thoughts.
He had become a stalker, following her everywhere, and whenever he saw how pleased she appeared, his heart burned with jealousy.
Max would remember how happy and pleased he was with Ella before Priscilla entered the scene.
He was so sexually dissatisfied that when she lured him, he readily succumbed to his need, only to realize how dumb he was when the love he expected from her never arrived.
Yes, she met his wants in bed, but she never once spoke to him compassionately.
Ella may have been reticent, but she knew how to make him feel appreciated and cherished, and he missed having those timely conversations that made him proud of himself.
Max sighed deeply and looked at Priscilla before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom.
When he returned and was going to lie down, he noticed Priscilla’s phone flickering.
Because it was silent, it did not wake her up, but seeing messages flash up on her phone peaked his interest.
His brow wrinkled, and he was about to verify who it was, but to his dismay, she had her phone locked.
Max despised the fact that he couldn’t see who was texting Priscilla late at night, but he resolved to question her the next day to settle his worries.
Placing the phone back in its place, Max lay down next to her and closed his eyes, but his mind was filled with Ella’s thoughts, which finally turned into a wonderful dream that helped him go to sleep.
**** The next morning, everyone gathered around the breakfast table, with Stefan preoccupied with his phone.
“Marcus, my son has become so busy that he doesn’t even realize his mother is sitting next to him and that he has to greet her morning yet.” Nancy stated her displeasure in a phony, sorrowful tone, which caused Stefan to turn his head to the side in surprise.
“Good morning, and I hope you realize we are here too,” Nancy said, waving at him.
Stefan mustered a grin and hastily set his phone on the table before reaching out to hug his mother.
“Good morning, Mom,” he murmured, pecking her cheeks affectionately, to which she scowled.
“I thought you had forgotten about your mother since that you were so occupied with work.
There is little time for you to see us, especially me,” she remarked, giving him a serious look that he waved off with a smile.
“Ask your husband, who overloaded me with work.
If he gives me some time to breathe, maybe you’ll see your son at him more often,” he joked, grabbing Marcus’ somber stare.
“What nonsense are you saying to your mother?
When did I start burdening you with work?
You are merely an intern, arriving and going like the rest of the employees.” Marcus warned, “Blame me when you actually take over the position of CEO.” He then resumed eating his breakfast.
Nancy gave Stefan a curious look, and he stuck his tongue out in return.
“Stefan, you’re breaking a disagreement between me and my husband by telling me lies.
I know you’ve been busy, but not with work, but rather with this phone and roaming around.
I honestly want to know what the hell is in that phone that keeps you occupied.” She said and swiftly grabbed his phone to see who he was conversing with.

“Mom!” Before Stefan could respond, his phone was in Nancy’s grasp, where she simply unlocked it with his face and checked within.
“Dove?
Who is this Dove you’re playing around with?” Nancy glared at him, her face as hard as a rock.
Stefan choked on his food and gulped it forcefully, staring at his mother’s questioning expression.
He then looked at his father, who was also wondering about who this girl was that Stefan was now interested in, but what he said next caused him to choke on his food instead.
“She is my girlfriend,” he stated tentatively, gazing between the two.
COUGHÂ COUGH!!
“GIRLFRIEND!” Nancy and Marcus shouted together, prompting Stefan to sulk.
“Yes, girlfriend,” he replied.
Nancy and Marcus, who were both astonished, exchanged significant glances before she decided to respond.
“And how long do you intend to be with her?
I mean, you’ve never been serious, so tell us how long this relationship will last.” Nancy questioned right away, knowing Stefan had never been serious about how many women he dated or even hung out with.
However, Stefan was saddened by this presumption about her.
“Mom, how can you ask me something like that?” He whined, and Nancy leaned behind, crossing her hands, and said.
“That’s because, my dear child, you’ve never been in a serious relationship.
So, rather than setting high expectations, we’d like to know how long this surface emotion will last.” Marcus calmed down and stared at Stefan with the same inquisitive expression as Nancy, causing him to sigh in helplessness.
What was he supposed to expect from them when he had always been carefree throughout his life?
His impression was negative, but he was determined to change their perception of him and demonstrate that he, too, could be responsible.
Stefan took the phone from his mother, pushed it into his pocket, and glared at them determinedly.
“Forever.
This is the only relationship that will last forever, and believe me when I say I adore this girl more than anything, then I mean it.” His declaration were like a cool drop of water over their stunned expression.
They simply couldn’t believe what their son stated.
“You are in love?” his mother questioned, shocked.
“Yes and I intend to marry only Dove.
So, if you both will excuse me, I’ll take my leave,” he said before standing up and walking away, leaving Marcus and Nancy to contemplate his remarks.
Stefan continued to glance at his phone with somber eyes as he stepped out of the house.
He quickly got into his car and headed to Ella’s house to pick her up for work.
But rather than greeting her cheerfully, he questioned her.
“How long are rumors about us going around and why haven’t you cared to tell me?” He asked, stunning her with his directness.
But when she saw how angry he looked, she couldn’t bear to ignore it and responded.
“A few days ago, but I expected it to go away with time; guess I was wrong,” she remarked in a hushed tone.
Stefan was so preoccupied with his own emotions that he ignored Ella and continued to feel awful because of her hesitancy.
The true cause was not only Priscilla but also how others perceived her.
Ella’s caution was understandable given her gender, but he wanted her to be strong enough to face everyone, instead of letting their opinions affect her.
“Aren’t you curious to know how these rumours began and, to be precise, exactly when?” Ella scrunched her brow and nodded.
“Then hear me out,” he continued, and went on to reveal some information he had obtained.
**** Gabriel was on his way to work with his father when he unexpectedly spoke up.
“Dad, how long you have been friends with Uncle Jonathan?” Richard, who was busy browsing through some documents on his tabloid, paused.
“Since childhood.
But Marcus first met Jonathan and me in high school,” he explained.
Gabriel nodded in agreement and inquired, “Then you must be well acquainted with their family, since Grandfather proposed an alliance between their grandchildren.” Richard nodded, agreeing with him.
“We we did.” “Were there only three people in his family.
I mean, no siblings, cousins, or anyone?
“He asked in a casual tone so as not to arouse his father’s suspicions about his intentions.
“Why are you asking that?
Don’t you already know everything?” This time, Richard set down the tabloid and turned to face his son, who appears to be quite interested in Miller’s past.
Gabriel nodded as he noticed the serious look in his eyes.
“I do because we barely saw anyone there.
There were no family members called for Aunt Erna’s funeral.
And that makes me question why they don’t have someone to call their families,” he remarked.
Richard realized his son was attempting to alter his words to make them sound more general, but he was his father.
“Sometimes being alone is preferable to having fake family members around.
Jonathan’s father did not accept untrue people, whether in business or personal relationships.
He liked to eliminate them for the peace of his family,” he replied, leaving Gabriel perplexed.
Jonathan did not respond directly, distorting his remarks.
“So, they do have a family.
Is it just that he no longer wants to associate with them?” Gabriel inquired.
“You can say that, and I am sure you have finally found an answer for someone.” Gabriel gave his father a shocked glance and he smiled before resuming his attention to the tabloid.
