Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 210
Chapter 210: A huge failure Chapter 210: A huge failure “Time is up.
Please stop writing and put down your pens.” Eveline took a deep breath and watched the professor approach to collect her answer sheet.
The tests, as well as the stressful events of the previous few days, had finally come to an end.
After Jonathan was voluntarily discharged, Eveline instructed Mark to shift the whole hospital staff assigned to her father at the Miller mansion.
She wanted to make sure he didn’t miss out on any necessary examinations because he opted to leave the hospital unexpectedly.
Now that he was home, she hired a few additional security guards to look around their house.
The risk of confronting Jedrick vocally was too great for her at this point.
Even though the man was a hypocrite, she couldn’t get rid of the deceptive sparkle in his eyes that kept her on edge.
He might have kept smiling at her, but she knew that wasn’t the case.
She could hear alarm bells in the back of her head, which immediately triggered her instinct to be well prepared.
So many days have passed, and everything seems normal.
She wondered if his reaction to her attendance at the event that day was to take a step back.
No, that was impossible.
So why was he being so discreet?
Eveline exited the exam hall and proceeded towards the cafeteria area, where everyone was already waiting for her.
Gabriel grabbed a chair for her next to him, and she sat down.
Her eyes were dubious about everyone.
“What is it?” she said, unsure of why she was being observed.
“Why are you backing off from the trip?” Daniel inquired, his eyes dark and sorrowful.
Eveline paused as she heard him, lowering her head and making an apologetic smile.
“You guys have fun.
“Dad needs me here,” she reasoned.
Eveline did not want to leave Jonathan alone.
So she decided to cancel the trip they had booked a month earlier.
“But we have so many people to care for him.
Daniel said, “Mom and Dad, let’s move there for a few days.” “He’s correct, Eve.
We have men guarding him.
So there will be no difficulty,” Stefan said, as he, too, did not want her to abandon the plan.
They all knew her anxieties, but they had a plan B.
“Where are we going?” Gracey inquired, as she was ignorant of where they intended to travel.

“Bali,” Daniel said.
“Bali?
Traveling that far is expensive.
I cannot afford it.” Gracey expressed her concern, and Daniel rolled his eyes.
“You don’t need to worry about it.
I’ve already booked the tickets,” he replied, leaving Gracey dumbfounded.
“Come on, Eve.
Don’t ruin the trip.
We all need a break.
Please…” Daniel pleaded with his puppy face.
“Are you a dog?” Stefan quipped, “Then why are you wailing your tail?” but Daniel continued to pursue Eve.
He would deal with Stefan later, but first he needed to convince Eve.
Eveline was puzzled.
She knew there was no way she would back down at the last minute.
Daniel was like a cute little dog begging her, which made her stomach twist.
She looked to her side and noticed Gabriel sitting silently.
SIGH “Okay, I’m coming,” she said, and everyone cheered.
After a while, they all left, with Stefan going to Ella’s, Gabriel taking Gracey home, and Gabriel with Eveline.
**** “I’ll pay you back for the plane tickets,” Gracey stated, perplexing Daniel.
“For private plane?” he inquired, and she gaped at him in surprise.
“Are we going on your private plane?
So why did you lie about the tickets?” She snapped, wrath coursing through her body.
“Oh, because I knew you’d come to reject at the mention of Bali,” he said nonchalantly, continuing to drive.
Gracey threw him an angry stare before shifting her gaze away.
“Now stop sulking and tell me why would you reject?” “Daniel asked.
“I planned on doing some part-time jobs to keep myself busy even during the break,” Gracey remarked, putting her sour attitude behind her.
This will be her first vacation without part-time work, since they had plans.
Daniel stared at her oddly, and she shrugged.
“What?
I always keep myself busy, even on vacation,” she responded, finding his face ludicrous.
“Why will you do it now that both of your parents are doing well financially?
Even your bakery shop is doing well,” he inquired, still not understanding why she was doing a job.
“That’s because I’m used to it.
It keeps me occupied, and since I can’t afford to go on expensive trips, I save the money to buy clothes for my family,” she explained.
“Okay, I understand, but for the time being, let us focus on the trip.
I need to know what you intend to do there.” Daniel inquired as he closely studied Gracey from the side.
“What do I plan?
Obvious enjoyment with the rest of them.
What kind of stupid question is this, Daniel?” She snapped.
Daniel had been acting strangely recently.
He wasn’t the naive, tiny boy who kept questioning her all the time, but he suddenly man up and began acting maturely.
There were times when he kept glancing at her for no apparent reason, and then there was this one while they were studying, he inquired.
‘What do you expect from a life partner?” The question was ludicrous because she had never considered it, yet the words he spoke raised her heart rate to new heights.
“I understand, but there must be something specific you want to do that sets you apart from everyone,” he inquired, prompting her to think carefully.
Gracey’s mind raced as she cried, “Ah, I can’t think of anything.
Now, please stop pestering me and continue driving.” Daniel realized he had been stretching Gracey’s patience, so he let go of his concern for the time being and opted to think things out on his own.
‘A huge failure!’ Daniel announced himself as a futile attempt to impress Gracey because he perceived no change in her attitude toward his recent actions.
In fact, he believed she was becoming increasingly irritated by him.
