Chapter 220: Gabriel!
Chapter 220: Gabriel!
Note:Â ‘Do read the privilege chapters and help me clear the first tier.’ ***** “So now you are going to ignore him?” Ella asked.
Gracey lowered her eyes and nodded.
“It was too embarrassing for us,” she admitted.
“You realize it’s normal, right?
I mean, especially when someone has feelings for you,” she stated as a fact.
” I do, but neither he nor I have had any prior experience.
Out of all that, he is my friend.
How can I break the rule?” She exclaimed, unable to explain why she was so embarrassed or provide an answer.
” Friends?
Seriously?
And what kind of buddies can you please enlighten?
“And what stupid rule are you talking about?” Eveline inquired.
This time, her remarks were serious, as was she.
Everyone was aware by this point that Daniel was interested in wooing Gracey, but this silly girl continued to consider him a friend while having affections for him.
No rational person would ignore the way she looks at Daniel, but she wants to keep building lines between them until one of them gives up.
Gracey was unable to answer.
What would she say if she was correct in whatever she assumed?
Yes, she had feelings for Daniel, but she couldn’t bring herself to cross the line between them.
Ella saw her uncertainty and questioned, “Gracey, how do you feel?
I mean, do you truly see him as a friend?
What we see in his eyes for you is love.
Not just a friend, but something more.” Gracey looked up, a sense of pondering still flowing through her mind.
She continued, adding to the confusion.
“And no matter how much you ignore him, that guy has his eyes on you.” Gracey turned her head and saw Daniel approaching them.
Her eyes widened, and he was already standing in front of her.
“Excuse me, ladies.
“Do you mind if I take Gracey away for a minute?” he asked, glancing at Eveline and Ella.
“Of course.

She is all yours,” Eveline said, leaving Gracey perplexed.
Daniel waited for Gracey to move, and when she did, he grabbed her hand and led her away.
“The boy is desperate,” Eveline replied, leaving Ella to contradict her.
“No boy, but a man.” **** Daniel let go of Gracey’s hand once they finally reached an isolated spot and remarked, “Why are you ignoring me, Gracey?” Gracey couldn’t help but feel a knot in her gut as she stared at his agitated face and the sad expression on his eyes.
“Listen, whatever occurred was a mistake.
You can’t ignore me because of this.
We were supposed to be a team, remember.
How can you leave your partner like that?” He asked, his chest burning.
He realized that avoiding each other was pointless, so he began looking for methods to communicate with her, but no matter what he did or if he caught a glimpse of her, she would simply pretend not to see him or vanish from his eyesight.
Daniel wanted to know if being around him was stressful for her, because the way she had been avoiding him was making him question his emotions.
He admitted that he was unfamiliar with how relationships operate because he had never been in one.
And the one he was attempting to enter was creating lines between them.
Gracey was the only person he had been close to, and for her, he was willing to change his ways.
If she disliked anything about him, he was willing to improve on it and never gave her the opportunity to complain.
But if she kept pushing him away, how was he expected to show her his heart?
Gracey, on the other hand, witnessed Daniel pour his heart out.
She could see he was frustrated with how things had turned out between them, but was it serious enough for her to abandon him?
They were friends before she developed affections for him, but the sexual tension she experienced this morning was a blow to her.
She’d seen the effect she had on him, and it was ridiculous.
Everyone kept informing her of Daniel’s intentions, but she was the one who refused to take the next step.
She feared that their high position would be the primary reason for their breakup.
More than that, she feared being labeled an opportunist.
God, she had so many reasons in mind, but she didn’t dare to tell anyone.
She knew her thoughts would disturb them, but what if she stopped thinking about anything else and just went with the flow?
Ella asked her about my feelings for Daniel, but she couldn’t respond.
Yes, they were overflowing, and what he said just made her regret her actions.
She shouldn’t have made him feel horrible about what happened in that room.
She should have seen he was humiliated, that whatever happened was not a mistake.
Gracey, unable to bear the sorrow in his eyes, slowly took a step forward and stood before Daniel, surprising him.
Despite all the what-ifs, she knew her heart was racing wildly for this boy.
His efforts to impress her were not completely unsuccessful.
Despite her trepidation, she seemed to like some of it.
She admired Daniel’s maturity, but she also enjoyed him as a boy when they became friends.
She was unsure how long she could maintain her friendship with him, but she was determined not to let him feel wronged again.
Daniel gaped as Gracey stretched for his hand and whispered, “I’m sorry.
I will not ignore you anymore.” Those comments were enough to wash away the unpleasant feeling he had been harboring all along.
Daniel had already begun to believe that he had missed his chance to win Gracey.
However, the fact that she is reaching out to him gives him hope that it is not the end.
“I am also sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable,” he faltered, and she shook her head, denying his words.
“No, it wasn’t uncomfortable, but I have never seen such a big dic-” Her remarks came to a halt as Daniel’s face turned beetroot red, and she immediately snatched her hand back.
“Forget everything I said,” she murmured, and he nodded, his face hidden from her.
**** Back where the girls were, Eveline remarked, “I guess they both will be fine” “I suppose so,” Ella replied, and they both chuckled, staring at one another.
“There is something I wanted to tell you,” Eveline said abruptly, drawing Ella’s attention.
“Go ahead,” she said.
“Actually, aunt Nancy called me to inquire about brother Stefan’s girlfriend,” she replied skeptically, forcing Ella to change her seat slightly.
“What did you say?” she inquired.
“I lied about not knowing anything,” Eveline replied, and Ella exhaled deeply.
“But let me tell you, even if I lie to her, she is too smart and will not wait for me or her son to spill the beans.
She has her way of getting things out.” Ella gasped.
“Babe” Stefan approached Ella and pleaded, “Please come and help me with this pain.” “Brother Stefan. What are you saying?
My naive ears aren’t prepared to hear you speak such indecent things,” Eveline added, leaving Stefan perplexed.
Ella reddened in response to her statement and cleared her throat.
“I apologize for the ridiculous statements that ruined your earbuds.
I just want a massage from her.” “Stefan….” Ella, seeing Stefan hadn’t understood Eveline’s comments, proceeded to fight.
But the words he spoke made her even more uncomfortable.
“Okay, let’s go,” she replied, rising from the table and dragging him along.
Eveline giggled as she saw Ella take Stefan away, much like a mother would take her unruly kid.
“Oh, I forgot to call Dad,” she realized and hastily pulled out her phone to call Jonathan.
The ring went twice before the call was answered.
…..
Twenty minutes later…
“Okay, dad, I’ll keep posting you, but you promise to take care of yourself.” Eveline was talking with Jonathan when a figure approached her table with a tray and a glass of water on it.
Eveline looked up briefly before the person placed the glass of water on the table and walked away.
“Okay, good night,” she finally said, turning to look in the direction the individual had left.
Eveline had not asked the waiter for water, but now that he had, she decided to sip it.
But what is this…
Her brow furrowed in confusion when she discovered a message under the glass.
Her eyes darted around in an attempt to catch a sight of the waiter who walked by and placed the water, but no matter how closely she looked, she couldn’t match his frame with anyone else.
Skeptical, Eveline kept gazing at the note, but eventually took it up and read it.
Her eyes sparked with an unknown feeling as she folded the note back and swiftly left the table.
Eveline immediately arrived at her room, her anxiety escalating, and she barged in.
“Gabriel!” Her voice was filled with fear as she ran to turn on the lights and….
