Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 227
Chapter 227: The way a man loves a woman Chapter 227: The way a man loves a woman “Let’s not talk about it now.
You need to rest.” Daniel stuttered in the proximity.
Her deep gaze entering his soul, and her hot breath brushing against his face, made it difficult for him to think.
His mind was blown, and his thoughts were in tatters, yet the tiny piece of sanity he possessed kept him from succumbing.
Gracey, on the other hand, pouted.
“You don’t want to be with me,” she inquired.
Daniel saw tears in her eyes and hastily shook his head.
“No.
That’s not what I mean,” he instantly responds to her assertions.
“Then why don’t you kiss me?” She urged.
“…” Gracey had lost her mind and was babbling nonsense.
Or, more accurately, it is what Daniel thought.
He didn’t want to take advantage of a drunk girl.
So he did his best to keep it secure.
“I’ve been looking at your lips, and they’re appealing.
I usually find them juicy and luscious, yet I avoid kissing you.” Daniel remained silent as he proceeded to hear her out.
Gracey had never been this open with him, at least not about her feelings, because she always appeared so controlled and in control.
But the effects of the drink were finally pushing her feelings to the surface, and he was completely taken aback.
“Why?” he inquired, with considerable restraint.
“Because I don’t want to fall,” she explained, prompting him to frown.
“Fall?” “Yes, because I know if I kiss you, I will eventually give in to the emotions of falling in love with you” Daniel’s eyes widened as she confessed.
His grip on her waist tightened, and he pushed her closer until their noses touched.
“What did you say?” He inquired, his gaze looking for any dishonesty.
“I like you–no, I’ve started to fall in love with you,” she confessed again, her gaze firmly fixed on his.
“And I want to kiss you,” she added, gradually bringing her face closer and sealing his lips.
Daniel was not given a chance to respond since everything she said came too quickly.
This was meant to be him confessing his love for her.
Allowing her to know his true feelings.
But it worked the other way around.
It took Daniel a while to clear his mind, but someone was getting frustrated with the lack of reciprocation.

“Hmm,” Gracey pushed back, frustrated, and glared at Daniel.
“Why aren’t you kissing me…” She spoke.
She felt her entire body on fire and sought a resource to extinguish it.
But Daniel’s lack of action left her trapped.
Daniel on the other hand fumbled, blinking several times and clearing his throat.
“I-I don’t know how to-” “Ugh!
Just get lost,” Gracey lurched up to get on her feet, annoyed by Daniel resistance to kiss her back.
“I understand you don’t like me.
You only want to be friends, like you mentioned.” Gracey searched around for their tent, but everything was too hazy for her to see.
“When did I say I want to be friends.” Daniel also stood up to interrogate her.
“Uh?” “You wanted to be friends with me.
I made my intentions known to you.” Daniel felt offended and wanted to settle things up between them.
Was this why she continued to build a wall between them?
She believed he wanted to be friends with her.
Jesus, why would it be when he is dying to her man?
“You don’t?” She inquired, confused.
“Of course, I do not want to be friends with you,” he said, making Gracey cry.
“You don’t want to be friends with me?” Gracey misunderstood his remarks again.
Daniel felt like crying beside her.
He preferred the sober Gracey over this inebriated one.
At the very least, she wasn’t dumb.
‘God, I’ll never speak those things to her.
She’d murder me.’ “Gracey, please do not cry.
I did not mean it that way.
I admit I don’t want to be friends with you-” she cried out again, making Daniel look at her in bewilderment.
“-but that’s because I want us to be more than friends.” He exclaimed and she stopped crying in that moment.
Daniel used her stillness as an opportunity to have her fully gaze at him as he held her shoulder.
“I want us to become a couple.
I want us to date because I don’t like you as a friend; I love you the way a man loves a woman.” “…” Daniel had no idea how he came up with those phrases, but if he wanted to be honest with Gracey about his sentiments, they may be ideal for a confessional address.
As he waited for an answer, his heart began to sink from her prolonged stillness.
His confidence was fading when he felt a hand grip his neck and his face flushed in for a passionate kiss.
Daniel squinted as Gracey sloppily nibbled his lips.
She wasn’t an expert, and was far more inexperienced than him, but she was trying.
Just one move from her was enough to break down the walls of mistrust in his heart, and he kissed her back.
His hands moved to wrap around her back, and he brought her body closer to him before deepening their kiss.
Daniel just went with the flow as they proceeded to devour each other.
He could tell Gracey was stumbling on her feet as the booze stirred her strength to stand, so he swiftly pulled back.
Looking into her perplexed eyes, he bent down and took her in his arms.
“Let’s continue inside the tent,” he said before carrying her inside their tent and hastily zipping the opening.
Daniel loomed over Gracey, who wrapped her hand around his neck and kissed him again.
Gracey opened her mouth, and Daniel plunged his tongue into her cavern, this time with more urgency.
Their tongues mingled, tasting every area of their mouth and loving every moment of their kiss until they were out of breath.
“My heart…
it’s beating very fast,” Gracey whispered, pushing his palm against her chest.
Her face flushed with nervousness as she gazed at him, staring at her unwaveringly.
“Mine, too,” Daniel added and did the same, rendering her dumbfounded.
Gracey may have been inebriated, but her anxieties remained fresh in her mind, causing tears to well up in her eyes.
“Is it safe for us to cross this line?
You claimed you loved me, but I’m afraid to love you,” she remarked, causing Daniel to frown.
“What are you scared of?” he questioned, taking a step back and cupping her face.
Daniel had always believed Gracey was protective about her heart.
He felt it when she tried to hide her emotions and act as if she didn’t care.
But he knew she was holding back something that bothered her, and he wanted to know what it was.
