Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 242
Chapter 242: Our suspect is there Chapter 242: Our suspect is there Kaden attempted to sneak upstairs but was stopped when he noticed men from the other gang exiting the pub.
It was then that it dawned on him, and his feet moved on their own to open the VIP room.
The sight of the bloodied space horrified him, but what attracted his attention was Sylvester lying down on the floor, gasping for life.
Kaden raced to his side and discovered he had been shot in the stomach.
He had already lost enough blood, and it was clear that he would not survive even if he was taken to the hospital.
“Catch them before they flee to country P; they took the drug.” Sylvester murmured.
Kaden’s brow wrinkled when he heard him.
He stared at the man who pleaded with him.
He wasn’t worried for his life but for the drug that got stolen.
“They will sell the drug.
Please stop them and save me.” Silvester’s words died with him, leaving Kaden in shock.
He closed his eyes and snuck out as soon as he heard the siren.
Silvester was betrayed, and they seized the drug from him as he fled the scene.
Kaden had previously foreseen the outcome of this encounter, but he never imagined it would happen so quickly.
He contacted his teammates as he went off the bar in another direction, pulling out his phone.
“Prepare my flight to Country P.
Our suspect is there,” he said as he walked away, staring at the swarm of cops hurrying inside the bar.
**** The following morning, Eveline and Gabriel planned to meet Stefan.
They needed to continue their hunt for Kaden as well as figure out how to contact the Willow family without raising Jonathan’s suspicions.
“Don’t rack your brain, brother Stefan.
I already completed the necessary steps to trace the number, but it is now invalid.” Eveline commented as she saw Stefan prepare to investigate.
“Oh.
So there’s no legal way to find him,” he explained, taking a step back.
“No, that is why I want to know about his family.
Maybe through them we’ll find something,” she replied, her gaze shifting between Stefan and Gabriel.
Gabriel was thinking about something when he spoke up.
“I believe we can reach them through our business connections.
In that case, I doubt anyone will be suspicious,” he added, and Eveline nodded thoughtfully.
“That would do, but we need to move quickly,” she continued.
“And I will do my utmost to locate Kaden.

I’m sure there will be a method to contact him,” Stefan replied.
As the trio resumed their conversation, Stefan noticed a familiar face through the coffee shop’s glass wall.
His eyes squinted as he recognized Priscilla, but then he focused on the man strolling beside her.
“Who is that guy she’s hanging out with?” he muttered, drawing Eveline’s attention.
She then turned to check outside and found no one.
“What are you telling yourself, brother Stefan?
Have you seen anyone?
Stefan’s thoughts were interrupted by Eveline’s voice, and he nodded in reply.
“Yes, I think I saw Priscilla with a new guy,” he told me.
Eveline was already familiar with Priscilla, but Stefan’s mention of her piqued her interest.
“Why are you seeing her here?
Brother Stefan, let me warn you that if you dare to break Miss Ella’s heart, you will become my enemy,” she added, leaving Stefan perplexed.
Gabriel covered his mouth, encompassing his smile.
“Where did that come from?
Why would I hurt her?” he said, offended by her remarks.
“Then why are you looking for another woman?” she yelled.
“God Eve, that’s because I saw her with some other man who wasn’t Max!” Stefan defended himself, surprising Eveline and Gabriel.
“Oh, so you weren’t looking for her,” she mumbled, concealing her discomfort.
Stefan yelled, but then glanced aside and sighed.
“Exactly.
I wasn’t seeking for her, but more curious as to why she wouldn’t be with Max and instead go out with someone else,” he said.
Stefan remembered how that girl had already tried to defame Ella, and how she was attempting to attract him, which was clearly a miss.
Anyway, I have to leave.
Ella must be waiting for me at the office.
“We have a meeting to attend,” he remarked, rising up to leave.
“You already resume your work?” Eveline asked and he sighed.
“Your dear uncle.
You think he’ll let me go free?” He said sarcastically before bidding the couple goodbye and driving away.
On his way, he once again saw Priscilla and the guy enter one of the restaurants, that left him curious as to what she was doing here.
Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, Jack sneered at Priscilla, who had been ignoring Max’s calls for some time now.
“You’re truly a bitch.
How can you make him feel guilty when he isn’t at fault?” he remarked, prompting her to scoff in response.
“I had to or else he wouldn’t have stop meddling into my matters” explained her.
Last night, when Max attempted to force himself on her, she managed to stop him by smacking him on the head.
But this morning, she blamed him for expressing his rage in order to make him feel bad for taking advantage of her when he was intoxicated leaving him guilty.
She knew this lie would work in her favor, allowing him to forget about whatever he saw while his remorse reminded him of how he forced himself on her.
“Seriously, Priscilla.
If you don’t want to be with him, why bother playing with him when you can just remove him from your life?” Jack asked.
He couldn’t understand why she would lie to him and stop the connection with him.
“I will but before making him regret until I finally find a way to toss him out of my life” she lamented.
“He had already seen us and was accusing me of whoring around, but as you know, I don’t take anything from him.
As much as I’m at fault, I want Max to regret it as well, so he won’t say anything against me.” “So how long will you keep ignoring him?” Jack inquired.
“Not for long,” she smirked, turning her phone to mute as it continued to ring on the table.
