Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 25
Chapter 25: Here she comes
Arriving at the Winston Mansion gates, the black BMW came to a stop in front of the residence. Gabriel, looking nervous, emerged from the backseat and entered the house right away.
His heart wasn’t at ease and he was constantly reminded of the words Eveline said to him.
Immersed in his thoughts, Gabriel failed to see Daniel standing before him until they collided.
“Watch out, big brother,” Daniel joked, which did not sit well with Gabriel’s sour disposition.
“Go away,” Gabriel angrily yanked his brother out of his way and continued walking upstairs, obliging the servant’s unblinking gaze as they watched their young master make his way to his room.
THUD!
Although it was not unusual for them to see Gabriel unhappy these days, they were still interested in finding out who had soured his attitude.
“What was the sound?” Belle walked out of her room and inquired.
“Ask your beloved son, Mom. He seems to be upset over something,” Daniel stated, picking up the apple from the basket resting on the breakfast table before settling on the couch inside the living hall.
Daniel expected to return home with Gabriel; however, he missed reaching him for over a minute before driving off with Stefan.
Stefan told him that Gabriel was supposed to drop Eveline home; however, his return expressed a lot about their journey.
With a frown, Belle observed Daniel ignoring the hygiene and reprimanded her youngest child from the first floor, “Daniel, wash that apple before eating.” She then made her way to Gabriel’s room to inquire about his problem.

Gabriel threw his bag aside and slumped onto the bed, his arm resting on his eye in a weary state. Unaware of the reason behind his intense emotional response to Eveline’s words, Gabriel continued to feel uneasy about the direction this relationship was taking.
Trying to erase everything, Gabriel continued to lay on the bed when a knock on the door startled him out and he shot his head in the direction of Belle, who peeked inside.
“Gabby, is it okay for me to come?” Belle asked, looking at her son, who pushed himself to sit on the bed at her arrival.
Giving her a nod, Gabriel quickly composed himself before feigning a smile at his mother.
Belle returned his smile before taking a seat next to him on the bed and saying, ” Is everything alright? Why do you look angry?”
Gabriel sighed, realizing that his actions had created quite a commotion within the home.
” I don’t feel good,” he lied, hiding the fact that he was disturbed by Eveline’s words.
Belle keenly observed her son as he refused to look at her. She was aware that there was another reason for the disruption in his mood, not anything to do with his health, but she simply agreed with him and said,
“I assume you will not be able to accompany us to the Miller Mansion,” Belle said, drawing Gabriel’s startled attention.
“Miller Mansion?” he asked, confused by her words.
“Yes, Jonathan decided to throw a get-together since we had not caught up in a while. But now I think you will have to stay home,” Belle said, making a sad face.
Although Gabriel was not a socialite, he enjoyed visiting Miller House frequently ever since he was a young child. It was not because the kids got along, but rather because he greatly admired Jonathan, and spending some time learning new things from him improved his mood.
Gabriel fell silent as he thought about the gathering his mother had just mentioned. He quickly shot down her remarks, saying, “I will join you all,” feeling suddenly revitalized by his weariness.
“But your health?” Belle said, but Gabriel waved away her worries right away.
“Do not worry, I am doing great.”
Belle grinned as she observed her son return to his usual self. Knowing how quickly Gabriel’s mood improved, she was not shocked at all. However, she had no idea whether the explanation for her son’s change of heart was accurate.

After Gabriel left, Eveline returned to her room and slumped on the bed tiredly. She couldn’t erase the look she saw in his eyes and kept on overlooking her behavior, which caused a stir within herself.
As Eveline continued staring absentmindedly at the wall above, she didn’t realize when sleep took over her exhausted mind until she was jolted up by the knock on the door.
Eveline looked around only to find it was dark outside and she had almost slept for an hour.
“Young Miss, it’s time to wake up. We have guests visiting the house,” Susan informed, bringing a frown on Eveline’s face.
“Guest,” Eveline asked, sitting on the bed.
She had no clue her father had invited people to the house. But now that Susan has informed her, perhaps she should get changed quickly before they show up.
Eveline was just about to get out of bed and head to the bathroom when she heard a car honk from outside her window.
“They are here,” Susan said with a startled look.
Even though Eveline was perplexed, she asked Susan about them prior to her nanny leaving.
“Who are those guests you mentioned?”
Susan paused in her tracks and said, “Winston and Hayes.”
Eveline furrowed upon hearing her nanny’s words, but before she could inquire further, Susan was gone.
Eveline wondered why all these people were coming to see them, but she brushed it from her mind and grinned, hoping to see her favorite uncles again soon.

[Downstairs]
Everyone settle on their respective chairs after greeting each other. The fact that they were all together for dinner at the Miller Mansion brought back a lot of pleasant memories from their past.
“Even after years, this man has not changed.” Marcus looked sideways at Richard and remarked, “This unexpected gathering is definitely his thing, right, Richard?
“That’s why we never planned anything before because we knew Jonathan would have a better idea of ruining it,” Richard exclaimed, letting out a humorous chuckle at his friend.
“Belle, are you sure that you are happy with this man? “He is still incapable of telling a joke that would make people laugh,” Jonathan shot back, seizing the smile off Richard’s face.
“You wish. But let me tell you, my wife just finds my jokes funny,” Richard said, casting Belle a sly look.
While the elders got busy with their talks, the kids were waiting for Eveline.
“What is keeping Eveline from joining us?” Daniel murmured, glancing at his brother, whose eyes were glued upstairs.
“Oh, here she comes.” Stefan’s voice caught their attention as he pointed at Eveline as she slowly made her way downstairs.
