Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 264
Chapter 264: Illegitimate daughter Chapter 264: Illegitimate daughter “Don’t you dare talk to me like that!” Jack spat and yanked her hand from his collar.
Jack’s bravery startled Priscilla.
He was the dog who survived on her, but now he’s threatening her with photographs of them.
What a dickhead.
Her blood boiled as she continued to stare at him unwaveringly.
“What’s all this nonsense, Jack?
Why would you do that?” She asked in a low, demanding tone.
Jack blinked, unable to meet her angry look before shifting his attention behind her.
“He was just following orders, Priscilla.” Suddenly, a familiar voice attracted her attention, and she swiftly turned behind to see Ella standing in front of her.
Priscilla was astonished, but then her eyes moved toward the figure standing next to her.
It was Stefan.
Her face became pale at the sight of his gloomy eyes, but she just seemed to be afraid.
“Mr.
Hayes, Ella, what are you doing here?” She inquired innocently.
Her gaze shifted between Ella and Stefan, attempting to anticipate their presence.
Something suddenly occurred to her, and she looked at Jack, who merely lowered his gaze.
‘Bastard,’ she mentally reproved him before turning back to face the two people.
“How about I ask you the same question, Priscilla?
I thought you broke up with Jack a long time ago, but now you’re just a phone call away,” Ella mocked, prompting Priscilla’s lips to twitch in wrath.
“I did break up with him.
It was just a few days ago that we reconnected.” She responded with a harsh glance at Ella, as if she were subtly warning her through her eyes.
“Lair” Priscilla’s jaw constricted as she heard Stefan say it.
“I have evidence that you have been meeting him surreptitiously behind Max’s back, and you have never truly left him.Am I incorrect, Jack?” He asked and the man frantically nodded.
Stefan replied, “See, even he agrees,” which made Ella smile at his sense of humor.
Priscilla’s face became pale at his deadpan words.
The mention of proof caused her knees to buckle and she stuttered.
“What are you talking about, Mr.
Hayes?
Ella, what is all this?” She asked, glancing back at Ella.
“Are you still going to pretend Priscilla or should I ask this puppet of yours to spill the truth?” Ella took a step closer to her, and before Priscilla could react, a quick slap flew through her face, sending a loud bang across the room.

“You dare to sink low for your own purposes, Priscilla, and for what?
To have Stefan.
Don’t you like Max anymore?” she said, disgusted by how readily her feelings shifted over time.
She first seduced Max, and now she has her eyes on Stefan because she wants to see me break.
What for?
Why so much animosity for her?
What had she done to her that she despised her so much that she didn’t even consider the terror it would cause her?
Ella had always wondered why Priscilla despised her so much that she would subject her to such treatment.
But she knew it wasn’t just a transient hatred, but something deep within her bones.
If Jack hadn’t told her what Priscilla desired, she could have abandoned Stefan in her folly.
Priscilla stared at Ella with bloodshot eyes, her cheek aching from the slap.
“How dare you slap me?” She clenched her jaw and cast a furious glare at Ella.
PAK!
“Just like that,” Ella said, throwing another slap on the same cheek till it became crimson and left a mark.
Priscilla was taken aback when she felt her eyes sting with tears.
She was outraged, but more than that, she wanted to continue pretending in front of Stefan.
“Mr.
Hayes, why are you not stopping her?
She’s hindering me.” “Oh, you should have known before allowing your fifth eye on my man, Pris.
Just because I didn’t say anything when you snatched Max doesn’t mean I will let you do it all the time.
Back then, I didn’t say anything since the person I professed to love cheated on me without regard for my feelings, but you were mistaken about Stefan.
If you dare to touch him, I will slash your hand and pluck your eyes.” “That’s my girl!” Stefan exclaimed, surprising Priscilla.
She couldn’t believe what she saw, and it made her look foolish in front of everyone.
“So tell me, Priscilla, why would you want me to break up with Stefan because even if I did, he wouldn’t look at you for a second because his standards aren’t that low to get along with a whore like you?” Priscilla clenched her jaw and she fisted her palm in fury.
“Because you don’t deserve to be happy,” she said, startling Ella.
“But why is that so?
What have I done to you that you want me to leave in pain?” she questioned, maintaining a stern tone.
Priscilla smirked and glanced at Stefan.
“Because a bastard child doesn’t deserve the kind of happiness and trust me, even if you marry him, the label of being an illegitimate daughter wouldn’t be erased.” Priscilla’s scathing remarks struck like a dagger through her heart, forcing her to bleed.
“You realize you aren’t your father’s child, don’t you?” She inquired, her gaze mocking Ella.
Priscilla knew she had hit the nail on the head, and the shift in Ella’s expression from resolute to scared made her very happy.
“Your mother fooled your father into a marriage only for him to realize he wasn’t the father of the child in her womb,” she said, laughing at her broken face.
“But you know what?
I don’t give a damn because I honestly don’t care who your real father is.
However, the person who married your mother made a mistake by breaking up a family.
He should not have eloped with my mother, shattering my dream of a happy family.” Ella fixed her gaze on Priscilla in disbelief.
Her eyes accused her of something she knew nothing about.
“My father became so distraught that he went insane and ultimately committed suicide after your father snatched my mother away from me.” Since the day she discovered that her mother had fled with her father, leaving both of them alone, Priscilla has been obsessed with Ella.
She despised her to the point that she didn’t leave a chance to make her life miserable. Priscilla wanted Ella to suffer for the pain her father inflicted on her.
If not for their one selfish decision, she wouldn’t have suffered so much.
However, she was unaware that the person to whom she was expressing her ire was not even his biological child.
Ella was entirely shocked with everything that was disclosed before her.
She would always had this fear, but after Priscilla confirmed it, she was devastated.
“ENOUGH!” Stefan’s angry outburst surprised Priscilla, who flinched beneath his smoldering gaze.
“Enough of this crap, Priscilla.
Just because I’m not saying anything doesn’t mean I’ll let you hurt my girl,” he cautioned, and she took a step back in surprise.
“You understand that it will not take me long to wreck your life.
Nobody will ever know that you exist.” Priscilla’s face drained of blood, and she felt her stomach twist incorrectly.
She knew the man was capable of anything, and the reason she was so adamant about getting close to him was the power he possessed simply by being known as Hayes.
“I’m sorry, Mr.
Hayes.
I promise I will not do it again.” Priscilla faltered, sensing the gravity of his words, which eventually hit her with a mind-boggling clarity.
“I wish your apology had done anything, but it’s too late,” he said, pointing to the side from which Max stepped out.
“Max” Priscilla’s eyes widened as she watched Max approach her.
His face was flush with wrath, and he smacked her without hesitation.
“Ah!” Priscilla stumbled on her feet, the impact making it difficult for her to stay stable.
“You’re a bitch.
How could you do that to me?” Max was not only devastated but also angered by how Priscilla had exploited him the entire time.
Jack revealed his culpability in front of him, exposing Priscilla’s plot to leave him and how she had simply used him to get back at Ella.
He even said that it was Priscilla’s plot to make him feel guilty because that night she claimed he pushed her to have sex with him, which never happened because he passed out after she hit his head with the vase.
Max was ashamed of his actions and begged Priscilla to forgive him, only to discover that he was not guilty at all.
However, he recognized that Karma was a bitch, and it would punish him twice as much as he had done to Ella.
Ashamed he turned to look at Ella who stood there like a statue, but before he could say anything Stefan wrapped his arm around her protectively.
“Don’t” he said, his icy gaze stopping Max in his tracks and he lowered his gaze in shame, unable to even apologize for his mistake to Ella for once.
