Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 268
Chapter 268: I am here to ask everything Chapter 268: I am here to ask everything “I am, but it does not feel the same for you.
Because if you were happy, you would be sleeping with me right now.
Not overthinking the conversations and keeping awake while standing on the balcony,” he said, leaving her dumbfounded.
Ella blinked a few times, then cleared her throat.
“I wasn’t overthinking,” she explained, glancing away.
Stefan laughed and said, “Fine, you weren’t.
So we can go to sleep.
I need cuddles,” he remarked with a lovely pout, as she moaned.
“Fine, let’s go,” she said as they both walked back into the room, sliding the balcony door shut and quickly got into bed.
Ella lay down and opened her arms to Stefan, who swiftly hugged her, his face lying on her chest and pressed on her boobs.
“Do you want to share anything?” He inquired as she slowly began to run her fingers through his silky hair.
“I want to know who my father is?” She made a startling announcement, and he looked up to discover her already staring at him.
“So you do believe what Priscilla said?” He inquired.
“It’s not about believing, but something about her allegations seemed apparent.
She won’t lie about her mother because I knew about her father’s death but never tried to find out how it happened because I was too busy dealing with my demons,” she remarked, and he became mute as he considered her comments.
“What do you want to know?” he said.
She took a big breath.
“Everything, but first I’d like to speak with Mom.
I need to question her why she never informed me such an important detail about my life.
“Why have you been hiding it all along?” She mumbled.
Stefan didn’t say anything, simply cupped her face and kissed her cheeks.
“I’m here for you.
You’re not alone.
Whatever happens, we’ll face it together,” he replied, his tone slightly hard but his eyes soft as a cool wind.
“I know,” she agreed, smiling and kissing him on the lips.
It wasn’t long, but it was enough to give them peace of mind before they pulled back and resumed lying, sleep quickly taking over their contented minds and drifting off to sleep.
**** The next morning, Eveline awoke first and saw Gabriel still sound sleeping.
“This guy never follows his words,” she grumbled, forcing herself up to sit and lightly shaking Gabriel’s shoulder.
“Gabriel, wake up.
We have to leave,” she whispered, as the man stirred in his sleep but did not open his eyes.

Eveline pursed her lips, watching him go back asleep.
So she decided to let him rest for a little and then quickly get dressed.
Getting out of bed, she went to the bathroom and showered.
Once she got out, she crossed to the opposite side of the bed and attempted to wake up Gabriel, and this time he did.
Once they were both ready, Gabriel called Leon and instructed him to keep his men on alert.
He couldn’t afford to make a mistake knowing how their movements were tracked.
And as for Franklin, he had already dispatched one of his men to observe him and take notes on his movements in case he did anything out of the ordinary.
They had to postpone their appointment with Franklin owing to Blake, and their main goal was to discover something crucial about this meeting.
They soon left the house and drove to their destination.
Eveline was nervous, but she was also excited to meet the guy who was her mother’s father.
Blake Willow, a proud man, abandoned his daughter because she chose to follow her heart over his principles.
After severing relations with her, he had the nerve to criticize her for not caring about them.
“My men are keeping tabs on Franklin.
So less assured, he won’t be going anywhere,” Gabriel stated, breaking her out of her reverie, and she nodded skeptically in response.
They immediately arrived at BlueDart Restaurant, then proceeded to one of their meeting places, where Blake was already waiting for them.
When their eyes met, Eveline sensed a glimmer of emotion in those elderly eyes.
She didn’t know what it was, but for a little minute, her heart skipped a beat.
Blake wanted to hug his granddaughter, but he pulled back because he sensed her guarded posture.
“You look exactly like your mother,” Blake observed as Eveline and Gabriel took their seats in the respective chairs.
“But I suppose you don’t know me.
I am your-” Eveline said “Grandfather” in a courteous but distant tone.
Blake felt the coldness in her words and moked.
“But you inherited all of your father’s qualities.
He’s also a rude man.
Eveline gave the elderly guy a frown, as everything about his character began to make sense to her.
“I am honored to inherit all of my father’s characteristics, but I am also blessed to have my mother’s appearance,” she remarked with a smile.
Blake stared at the girl and asked, “Why did you want to meet me?” Eveline noticed a change in him, this time becoming more distant and aggressive, making her distrust the sight in his eyes.
They were not the same.
Something was off.
“I am here to ask you everything.
About my mother, father, brother, and relatives.
Your family has been close for years, so why dislike your daughter and cut connections with the Millers?
Why my father had to keep his family history hidden and establish a life on his own.
Eveline only knew a few things, but she was dying to know the extent of his disagreement.” The reason his brother despised him enough to plot an attack on him.
Why didn’t her father let them meet her mother?
Why…why did he disguise her death as a medical problem when she was actually killed?
Eveline was looking for answers to everything.
“Because your dad is a betrayer.
He deceived everyone, his family, his brother, us, everyone, and now he refuses to admit any of it.
As Blake stated those words, his gaze drifted down towards his coat, pointing to the small chip that immediately grabbed Eveline’s attention, and she gaped at him.
His brow furrowed in a quiet warning, informing her that everything was being cared after.
‘What does that mean?’Eveline couldn’t finish her words as her mind raced with many ideas as she peered into the elderly man’s eyes.
