Sitting on the table inside the resturant, Kaden shot a deadpan state at Gabriel and he instantly looked away.

“Ahem-hm” he cleared his throat unable to handle the brooding eyes that kept giving him threat every now and then.

He apologized for acting agressively, but constantly making him know about his mistake was now making him uncomfortable.

How was he supposed to recognise him when he disguise himself into a keeper.

Eveline stared at the two men and sighed.

“Uncle Kaden, why did you wanted to meet me” she asked seizing Kaden’s eyes on her.

Her eyes taking over his disguise and she couldn’t help but realize how it was impossible for anyone to acknowledge him.

‘Maybe that’s why we failed to notice he was there too’ Kaden darted his gaze at Eveline.

They were both amused and eager.

Amused because he never expect Eveline would ask him to meet her and eager to tell her everything.

“Aren’t you eager to know why I send you that message earlier ” He asked looking right into her eyes.

“You were alerting me” she said without any delay.

“Yet you believed him” he said with a smirk.

Eveline brows furrowed and she declined his claim.

“Not entirely but after confirming,I did believe it only to realise that he tricked me into it again” she didn’t deny anything.

She was pissed however still a little part of her wanted to believe her father.

“Glad that you know what’s you father been upto.

So you do believe I wasn’t wrong at all to blame him right.

You father has been fooling everyone.

Not just me but you too” he said l, a taunting smirk still lingering in his lips.

Eveline couldn’t come to argue back however she couldn’t stand his words too.

“So what was your purpose behind coming here.

I know it’s not just keeping an eye to my Father’s activities unless you have caught your hands into something more to it” she asked, now serious about everything she waited for him to say in return.

Kaden chuckled.

Now reason why he liked his niece the moment he met her.

She was smart and quick witted, never hold her thougts and speak with any filters.

“Your Dad lied about your mother’s death” he said expecting to get a reaction from her her, but she remained calm.

“I know.” She said and his brows creased hearing her words.

“Then you must also know that your mother isn’t dead” he said and this time he noticed the change in her expressions.

“How can you be sure” Eveline asked despite her doubts about the same.

“Because I have my search on it and I am confident that my sister is here with him” he disclosed leaving both Eveline and Gabriel shocked.

“Aunt Erna is here?” Gabriel asked and he nodded.

“Yes, but I am yet to find her which is why I have been keeping tabs on your father’s movement” he disclosed.

Eveline leaned on her chair, completely muddled by the confirmation of her mother’s survival.

She had her doubts but failed to confirm it.

It were mere her assumption but now with Kaden confirming it, she realised how complicated this entire thing was.

First she learned her mother was killed and now she found out that she was alive.

What was happening?

Why everything felt so depressing as if her life was nothing but a lie.

“How did you find out that she is alive ” Gabriel asked seizing Kaden’s attention.

Kaden’s thoughts drifted at the time he beng treated at Jupiter Hospital in country K.

Kaden had served lot more damage physically during his last mission.

He survived a bomb attack while helping the immigrant to escape the cell they were locked up.

It was a hard mission but he and his team were able to help them out and safely migrate them back to were they were brought.

However in that process he suffered some burns and a few fractures in his leg and hand.

“You have been doing great officer” the doctor incharge for his treatment said.

“Are you sure doctor because this man just need a word to get out of this place.” Luke his team mate commented playfully.

Kaden gave him a stern look and tried to walk another step.

It wasn’t that painful as he was recuperating however he still had some difficult while walking.

“A few more sessions and then we will decide if you are ready to go” the doctor said concluding today’s session.

Kaden was about to exit the office with Luke when a nurse walked in.

“Did you inform Mrs.

Margret about the session today.” He asked.

“I did but Mrs, Erna refused to take anymore therapy.

She says you are purposely extending her stay” she said and the doctor shook his head in dismay.

Kaden who on his way out of the room halted at the mention of name Erna.

A feeling of deja vu overwhelmed his heart and he turned to look at the doctor.

“What name did you mention.

Come again” he asked frantically stumble towards his desk.

Kaden eyes were restless as he expectantly looked at the doctor.

“I am sorry Mr.

Kaden but we can’t disclose any details regarding the person” he said and Kaden fisted his palm.

Luke who noticed the tension quickly cut in.

“Kaden, what’s wrong?

Come on we need to leave” he said awkwardly smiling at the doctor and the nurse who were now looking strangely at Kaden.

It was Luke’s voice next to his ear that snapped him out of his agressiveness and he looked at him confusingly.

“Let’s go” he muttered with pleading eyes and without creating any fuss Kaden walked away.

*** Inside his room, Kaden remained silent however his mind was racing with the possibility of the women he mentioned Erna could be his sister.

“Stop hurting yourself so much Kaden.

Your sister died years ago.

This Erna he mentioned must be someone else” Luke tried to make Kaden understand but being the desperate brother to once meet his sister, he refused to let his words distract him.

“Luke, help me get the details of that woman.Do everything in your power and find who this Erna is” Kaden announced leaving Luke stunned, however the determination on his eyes made his friend compel to his request and he nodded in return.
