Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 282
Chapter 282: Don’t tell me Ella was talking about that man Chapter 282: Don’t tell me Ella was talking about that man The glass door glided open, and Mischelle strolled out of the airport, going toward the cab she had reserved as soon as she landed in Country P.
After placing her bags in the trunk, she got into the cab and drove away.
Mischelle was forward to seeing her kid and spent some time with her.
However, as her thoughts drifted during the blissful time, her gaze caught something.
A magazine kept resting on the back of the driver’s seat.
Curious as to what had piqued her interest, she hurriedly snatched it to open, and whatever she saw on the cover page pulled the ground beneath her feet.
Fear crept into her heart, and her hands trembled as she swiftly folded the magazine and pushed it back into its rightful spot.
Leaning back, she put her arm on the edge of the window, her fingers rapidly running over her lips, indicating that worry had set in.
Mischelle felt she’d moved on from her past, but what she witnessed now was beyond her expectations.
Something she never wanted to reappear, yet it wasn’t unavoidable.
‘Don’t tell me Ella was talking about that man at the software launch event.’ Michelle’s stomach clenched at the prospect of being correct, but what terrified her was that she met him in person, which was enough to turn her world upside down.
The cab soon came to a halt, jolting her out of her reverie, only for her to realize she had arrived at her destination.
She quickly paid the driver and walked into the building, arriving at Ella’s flat.
Michelle’s pulse quickened, but she tried not to let her anxieties show on her face.
She would never reveal what she had been concealing from Ella for years.
But little did she know that her daughter had long suspected it, burying herself in misery from the words of judgment.
“Mom” Ella gave her mother a hearty hug before assisting her with the bags.
Mischelle settled on the couch, followed by Ella, who had deposited her belongings in the guest room.
“Where’s Stefan?
He was supposed to greet me with you,” Mischelle remarked, looking for her son-in-law.
She was already fond of Stefan, and knowing her daughter had found a suitable mate, she was overjoyed to see them together.
He was reasonable and understanding, and most importantly, he loved her daughter unconditionally, which she had always yearned for.
“He will be back soon.” Ella spoke as she continued to join her mother.
“Stefan informed me that his parents wanted to meet me.” Mischelle asked, her gaze shifting to the side.
“Yes, they wish to bond with you now that me and Stefan..” Mischelle smiled as Ella lowered her gaze in shyness.
“I’m glad to see you both happy,” she remarked.
When the doorbell rang, Ella nodded in return and stood up to open it.
“Here comes your favorite person, Mom,” Ella exclaimed as she returned with Stefan.
When she spotted him, she stood up and they both hugged.
“It’s nice to see you, Mischelle,” Stefan replied, pushing back.

The trio spent some time together before Mischelle excused herself to her room to freshen up, while Stefan followed Ella into their room and locked the door.
“Did you talk to her?” Stefan questioned, and Ella shook her head.
“Not so soon, Stefan.
“I need some time alone with her,” she remarked.
Stefan nodded in agreement before falling silent.
His face became deeply wrinkled as his thoughts raced.
“What’s wrong?
You see destress.” Ella realized something was wrong with Stefan, and she inquired about his dilemma.
“Aunt Erna is alive, and Gabriel and Eveline have found her with Uncle Jonathan,” Stefan revealed the most unexpected news he received on his trip to her home.
He was still attempting to gather his thoughts when they were alone, but he couldn’t relax.
Ella, on the other hand, found herself sinking into a state of shock.
She knew everything about Eveline’s family, including how she lost her mother at an early age to an incurable condition.
However, a few days ago, she discovered the truth about Erna’s murder and how they were attempting to locate the person after their deaths.
But now Stefan reveals another bombshell, revealing that Erna is alive and with Eveline.
From the start, something about Jedrick bothered me.
His unidentified aura made her apprehensive of him, but she never believed he would be tied to Eveline and the family.
And now his relationship with her mother was troubling her beyond comprehension.
Ella saw Stefan hadn’t been himself, so she decided to put her fears aside and console him by placing her arms around his waist and hugging him.
“I understand it’s too much, but you have to remain strong.
I am confident that now that Mrs.
Erna is with you, things will begin to fall into place.
Stefan’s grip tightened around her as he took a deep breath.
“Yes, I hope so,” he whispered, concealing his face in the crook of her neck as he stood there, holding her.
**** [Hospital] Blake had been resting on his bed after being moved to another room.
He was able to persuade Roger of his health state, which prevented him from moving him back to the motel.
Blake became dubious of the drug he was given in the name of normal vitamins when he saw changes in his body shape and sleeping schedule.
He wasn’t a big sleeper, but the medication made him drowsy even after ten hours of sleep.
However, when he stopped taking them without Roger’s awareness, he discovered that the drugs were nothing more than high-dose sleeping pills that were gradually damaging his kidneys and forcing him to sleep for hours.
Blake quickly realized who it was, but he would not allow that person to take advantage of his powerlessness.
As he continued to stare at the ceiling above, the sound of the door screaming jolted him out of his reverie, and he noticed Roger making his way into his room.
His eyes went hostile as he watched his betrayer, and he quickly glanced away.
“Boss, Lady Cecelie is on her way to the hospital,” Blake frowned as the words left his mouth.
“Who told her about me?” Roger asked, lowering his gaze.
Blake despised the notion that his life was no longer his and that others were controlling it as if it were an item.
“Who gave you the right to tell her Roger!” Blake snapped, shocking Roger with his wrath, and he shook beneath his blazing glare.
“I am sorry Boss, but she contacted me after she failed to get in touch with you and-” “Get lost!” Roger became agitated at Blake’s absurd command and hastily exited the room.
