Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 283
Chapter 283: I will let you know everything Chapter 283: I will let you know everything Roger stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him, and was about to leave when he was stopped by the sight of Kaden in front of him.
His brows furrowed slightly in response to his unexpected presence, and words of inquiry escaped his lips.
“Y-Young Master Kaden, how come you are here?” Roger immediately understood his error as Kaden raised his brow in response to his words.
Kaden was not a welcoming person, and he never appreciated it when people crossed the line with him.
“And who are you to stop me from seeing my father?” his nasty response caused Roger to lower his head and apologize.
“I’m sorry, young master,” he murmured.
Kaden had never truly noticed Roger and simply knew him as his father’s trusted man.
Maybe because he was young, and after whatever happened, he traveled to another nation for higher studies and eventually discovered his love while barely remaining in touch with his parents.
Yes, he came to see them occasionally because his mother insisted on seeing him, but aside from that, he never paid any attention to what was going on with his father.
But now that he realized this man had turned his back on his father and joined forces with their enemy, he needed to keep an eye on him before he crossed the line and hurt his family.
“Mom informed me of Dad’s condition.
So I flew here, and from now on, I’ll be here with them,” he stated, catching Roger off guard, but he simply nodded.
“Now go and check how long will it take for mom to be here” Roger was concerned of Kaden’s aggressive tone, but he obeyed his command and went.
Once Kaden was certain Roger would not return soon, he entered the room.
Blake was jolted awake by the sound of the screeching door, but relief washed over his face when he realized it was Kaden.
Blake’s face lit up with delight, and he immediately pushed himself up to sit on the bed.
“I thought you wouldn’t come, and Roger had informed your mother about my health.” Blake informed me that she was on her way here, his tone fraught with dread.
Blake had no understanding why Kaden requested him to fake his health, but he complied, and the circumstance was communicated to his wife and possibly Jedrick.
“She did exactly what I instructed her.
I was wondering if Roger told her the truth or if he kept your health issue hidden.
However, he chose to inform her.” Kaden quietly put his concerns to rest.
However, he was intrigued about something.
“Why did we pull this act, Kaden?
You have yet to tell me the reason behind all of these plots,” Blake inquired, his gaze intently fixed on his son.
Kaden had no idea when it was appropriate for him to inform them about Erna, but the attack on them on their way to the airport proved that whoever was his opponent was aware of them.
“I will let you know everything, but before that I want you to tell me the truth behind Jonathan’s parents death” Blake’s face paled as he heard his words, and his eyes blazed with terror, which Kaden noted.
The sight in Jonathan’s eyes crossed his mind, and he softly fisted his palm, hoping that whatever he claimed was not true.
Blake would look as if everything was perfect and his life was going well, but the guilt of betraying someone he trusted still twisted his gut.
Regardless, he was still held responsible for silencing everything that had conspired before him.
A quivering breath escaped his lips, and he clasped his hands tightly as if reliving the events in his head, till he felt everything around him crumble.

“It wasn’t Jonathan who killed his parents,” Kaden’s brow wrinkled and his palm unclutched as he spoke.
“It was Jedrick who killed them” he revealed, leaving Kaden absolutely stunned, but he quickly concealed his expression and questioned, “And what was your role in it?” Blake had been keeping this fact hidden deep within his heart for many years, and it was finally time for him to learn about it.
“I-I put the entire blame on Jonathan,” he said in shame, closing his eyes and allowing a tear to fall down his cheek.
Kaden’s thinking became entirely numb.
There was no way his father had lied to them all these years about Jonathan being the one who killed his parents because they objected to his connection with Erna.
“Jonathan was never the one who killed them.
Jedrick murdered them because his father refused to accept Erna as his wife.
He shot them both in front of my eyes, and in order to prevent him from killing me as well, he begged me to blame Jonathan.
He hoped to claim the organization as well as the firm and marry Erna, but his plot was thwarted when Jonathan ran off with Erna, taking the newly written will with him, leaving Jedrick with nothing but a mirage he believes he owns.” Blake revealed everything to Kaden, leaving no room for lies.
The guilt he had in his heart was steadily eating at him.
He tried to rebuild his relationship with his daughter, but Jonathan never gave him the chance.
Every time he took a step to tell them the truth, Jedrick threatened to kill them all.
Out of terror, he continued to swallow the facts and do everything Jedrick requested of him.
His once-established corporate empire became the target of rumors about their involvement in the underworld for the wrong reasons, as a result of all the criminal actions he carried out in the background.
Jedrick took control of everything, and his only target was Jonathan, whom he wanted to kill and reclaim what was rightfully his.
It took Kaden some time to process all his father said.
It’s no surprise that Jonathan opted to cut ties with them totally, removing their existence from Erna’s life.
He knew, from his father, that Jedrick would find a way to harm them, and he did.
He was the one who attacked them and shot his sister, and to keep them believing she had died, he kept her hidden from everyone.
He was not wrong; all he did was protect his loved one.
But if Jedrick intended to kill them, why hasn’t he done anything to Jonathan yet?
As the knowledge set in, his eyes furrowed in desperation, and he turned to stare at his father.
“There is something you need to know, Dad,” he murmured, his solemn expression making Blake quiver beneath them.
*** Back inside Erna’s room, Eveline remained by her mother’s side, while Gabriel and Jonathan took their seats on the chair across from them.
A pin drop silence hung over the room, with Jonathan frequently sneaking glances from his daughter, who had yet to speak with him.
“Mom will stay with us,” Eveline abruptly declared, breaking the silence.
Her gaze slowly darted to her father, who was completely taken aback by her revelation.
“She won’t be safe anywhere but at home,” she continued.
After learning what occurred with them while they attempted to flee the nation, she realized that the person they were attempting to keep her mother secret had already discovered her existence.
Eveline discovered that Jedrick was behind everything that was going on in their lives through her mother.
And how his passion for vengeance drove him to murder his parents.
If Jonathan hadn’t acted quickly, he may have died as well; however, he fled with her after divulging her father’s truth, and she joined forces with Jedrick to spare his ass from being chopped.
She had no idea that her one decision for herself would result in a catastrophic occurrence for Jonathan, and she still blames herself for breaking a family because she decided to love someone who was not chosen in her fate.
I agree with Eveline.
“It won’t be safe for you both to stay anywhere now that Jedrick has discovered Aunt Erna is alive.” They were convinced Jedrick had prepared the attack, but Kaden’s rapid reflexes prevented him from taking them.
To be extra cautious, they needed to consider other options for dealing with the situation, and switching countries was no longer an option.
Jonathan reflected on their remarks and exchanged a glance with Erna, who nodded in response to his silent inquiry.
“Okay,” Jonathan agreed and decided to bring Erna home.
**** Eveline and Gabriel strolled out, allowing her parents some alone time.
Eveline went to hug Gabriel as he locked the door behind him.
She needed consolation, and she knew Gabriel was the one person who could alleviate her concerns.
“Everything is okay now.
Your mother is with you,” Gabriel sought to reassure her, whispering soothing words into her ears.
Yes, her mother was back with her, but the threat continued to loom over their lives like a never-ending curse.
“Then why doesn’t it feel right, Gabriel?
Why am I still not sure about everything?” Eveline asked, lifting her head to gaze at him.
Despite having found all they were looking for, her gaze remained restless.
Yet there was no ease.
