Rebirth of Billionaire's Wife - Chapter 287
Chapter 287: I’ll tell you everything Chapter 287: I’ll tell you everything Roger had just entered the restroom when he was roughly squashed against the wall, his face pressed into the rough white concrete as he began to growl.
“I finally got my hands on you,” Roger wriggled, straining to hear the voice, but to his dismay, he couldn’t tell who it was.
As Roger continued to complain and fight, the man quickly took out an injection and injected it right into his throat.
In a matter of seconds, his body lost its vigor, and the guy collapsed over him.
Roger’s body was immediately removed from the hospital via the emergency exit.
A car was parked outside the hospital, and Roger was hastily pushed into the back seat while the man took the driver’s seat and drove away.
Buzz….
Kaden pulled out his phone and read the message.
He smiled as he finished his duty.
“Mom and Dad, I have already asked Eveline to allow us to meet Sister.
We’ll go there tomorrow, but for now, I have to leave.
There’s something I need to take care of,” he said, excused himself, and drove away to their undisclosed site.
As soon as he arrived, his team greeted him on his way to the torture chamber.
Kaden was a renowned officer, a disciplined man who refused to tolerate violence.
He believed in justice and sentenced those who deserved it.
He inspired his teammates, who looked up to him.
“Is he awake?” Kaden asked as he observed Luke, who was nonchalantly standing outside the jail door, tossing a toothpick into his mouth.
“He is, but he refused to behave,” Luke told Kaden, causing him to scowl.
“Open the door,” he ordered, and Luke quickly opened the cell door, letting Kaden in first before following him.
Roger, who had been opposing, came to a halt and looked up at the crowd in front of him.
His eyes immediately widened in surprise, and his body shuddered at the sight of those deadpan eyes.
‘Young Master,’ his subconscious said.
He couldn’t believe he was being held hostage by none other than Kaden.
But why?
As he examined his views, Kaden posed a question to him.
“Why did you feed Dad sleeping pills, Roger?
For years, you’ve been his trusted guy.
Why did you betray him?
Roger’s thoughts were interrupted by Kaden’s statements, and he immediately recognized that he had discovered his falsehood.
His eyes suddenly became frigid, but he refused to speak.

Kaden observed Luke’s harsh expression and motioned him to remove the tap from his mouth.
Luke promptly obeyed his command and removed the tap from his mouth, leaving him in anguish.
“I will be only lenient until you decide to open your mouth, but of you piss me off, then forget that you would even go alive from here.” Kaden held his cool because he wanted answers from this man, but his stubborn refusal to speak up was pushing him to the edge.
“Sir, order me, and I will make him speak like a puppet,” Luke said from the side, but Kaden refused with a sweep of his hand.
“There will be no need to get aggressive with him.
He will divulge everything on his own,” Kaden remarked, his gaze fixed on Roger, who continued to act casually despite his warning.
He was just being patient with him out of respect, since he was an elderly member who had served his father for many years, and using force on him would be insulting.
But it doesn’t mean he didn’t try other methods to get him to divulge everything.
Kaden took out his phone and dialed a number while staring directly into his eyes.
It was meant to be a video conference that caught Rogers’ interest, but he soon heard a voice sucking the blood from his face.
“Uncle Norman, when will Daddy return home?” The twelve-year-old girl asked over the phone.
Jenny was Roger’s youngest daughter and the most treasured of all his children.
Roger’s lips quivered as he heard the man speak kindly to his daughter, but as soon as he turned his look to Kaden, he heard him say.
“Kidnap her,” Roger screamed with control as his heart plummeted into his gut.
“No!
Do not do anything to her.
Kaden’s eyes glistened with enjoyment as he heard him talk.
“I’ll tell you everything.
Do not take away my kid, please.” Roger adored his family, and even the slightest threat to their safety terrified him.
He had been putting on a mask of being the strongest guy, but only he knew how difficult it was for him to perform that act.
It has always been this way, but Jedrick’s encouragement always overshadowed his anxiety, and he found the fortitude to complete every assignment he was given.
But this time, Jedrick was no longer with him, and he didn’t have his guys to help him get out of the problem.
And knowing how cleverly Kaden had targeted his family, he felt he couldn’t keep acting difficult.
“Keep an eye on them unless I give you any instructions,” Kaden told Norman on the phone before hanging up.
Roger’s eyes were filled with hatred, but behind that, there was a lingering apprehension that kept him on edge.
His family wasn’t safe yet.
“I am waiting,” he said, his face darkening as he heard Kaden speak.
Kaden had a warning gaze at him, ready to snap at any minute if he tried to act smart.
So, to prevent his man from kidnapping his daughter, he let go of his ego and began speaking up.
“I was asked to do that,” Roger said with a blank expression.
Kaden frowned at his reaction.
“And who asked you to do that?” He inquired.
Roger looked up for a brief period, apprehension in his eyes.
” Jedrick.
He sought me to do it because he wanted to stop that elderly man from teaming up with his opponents.” Kaden balled his fists hard.
His rage erupted like a volcano, and in the hope of gaining control, he banged his hand against the chair armrest till he broke.
Roger was astounded by the sight.
He knew Kaden was strong, and insulting him would get him in trouble.
His entire body trembled, yet he couldn’t take his gaze away, as if his mind was still digesting the consequences of his rage.
Kaden, on the other hand, took in a long breath.
Rage flowed through his body like searing lava.
He desperately wanted to kill Jedrick but he couldn’t.
Given the lack of tangible evidence against him, targeting them based solely on Roger’s statements would be useless.
They still had a lot of information to gather about his motivations.
As thoughts raced through his mind, he paused and turned to face Roger.
“I will leave your family alone, but with a condition.
Make sure you don’t dare to double-cross, or I’ll be worse than any man you’ve ever met.” Kaden wasn’t so ruthless as to destroy Roger’s family, particularly his children, but he did have another means to keep Roger on his feet and force him to do what he said.
Roger swallowed at his grim expression and nodded without hesitation.
“But please, don’t hurt my family,” he pleaded, terror on his face causing Kaden to lose his guard slightly.
Kaden gave Luke a contemplative look before leaning on the chair and presenting his proposition.
**** The waves surge against the shore, sweeping the sand onto the water and leaving no trace behind.
The moonlight glistened on the surface, illuminating the dazzling sea, and the sound of the waves breaking like music on the quiet beach provided enormous peace to tumultuous hearts.
Stefan stopped his car on the beach, and he and Ella sat on the trunk, his hand wrapped around her shoulder, their attention completely focused on the scene before.
He couldn’t stop thinking about beaches since Ella loved them and they were the only place they could be themselves.
“Are you cold?” Stefan inquired as he felt her shrink into his warmth slightly.
The wind was cold, and staying near the water might make her sick.
Looking up at his concerned expression, she grinned.
“A little,” she murmured, and he swiftly grabbed a shawl from the bench, wrapping it around her before pulling her back into his hug.
“You think my father was not a nice man for mom to keep talking about it with me?” Ella abruptly inquired.
She had finally calmed down, but she couldn’t shake the thoughts that were clouding her head.
She was prepared to give her mother time, but with each delay, her query about her father made her heart feel odd.
“Only your mother can answer it.
But, in my opinion, he may not be such a nice guy for your mother to even contemplate you knowing about him.” Ella gave Stefan a doubtful look.
Even she felt the same way, but she wanted someone to assure her otherwise.
Not that she was dying for him to accept her; she knew he wouldn’t.
But she hoped that one day she’d know who had gotten her mother pregnant and why she wasn’t ready to talk about it.
